I am a very proud member of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce. Jerry Sanders, President and CEO, is hardworking and accessible. Doug Holman, VP of Membership, is likewise accessible to all, and works hard to support all the members as more are gathered. I belong to a Business Alliance Group and have the pleasure of knowing Brenda Mercier-Depperschmidt, who is a total professional and all about helping the members make the most of their membership while inviting new members. This is a great Chamber of Commerce, and I consider my membership valuable to my business goals! Janet Sobel

These do a great job. The monthly breakfast allows business owners to interact with other business’s. It is an excellent way to network and ultimately grow your business.

It is all about the people! The dedicated professionals managing the chamber could not be more friendly and helpful. I encourage any business owner to visit the Chamber down town or one of its fun networking events. You can find them on You will meet excited, like minded entrepreneurs and established business owners, and build great friendships. Members, like myself, attend these events because we love what we do and want help you grow your business. Its a great place to be. I must personally acknowledge James Clark, of the Mexico Business Center, for being such a great source of information and for doing an outstanding job in the MBC.

When I first started in sales, this organization helped me learn alot. They have mixers, presentations, luncheons, seminars, discounted services and a lot of support for the business community. I learned alot here and also earned a ton of business. In addition, I made some lasting business relationships that turned into friendships that have lasted even after I moved out of San Diego. I would give the organization 5 stars except one thing: if you’re not in friendly with the powers that be, and something happens with another member, you will not likely be handled in the most fairest way. Politics can play a role in member treatment as unfortunate as it is to say. I had an experience before I left San Diego that I know with certainty was handled very inappropriately, but I haven’t had the time or energy to rectify or make a stink about. And at this point, what is done is done, I don’t even live in Southern CA anymore. But if you go in, don’t get on anyone’s bad side, and go there to do your business this is a great place! You will meet alot of people! Course like anything, you have to sift out those that just want to trade cards and those that want to really learn about your business and develop a lasting professional relationship… but it is well worth it, I made some great contacts at the Chamber that I’m still in touch with now!
