Salon de Claude

Very expensive. I brought my teenager in to get her hair cut. They charged an arm and a leg… and then expected a tip… What a racket. If I could redo it all over again, I would own a chain of these places and proceed to fleece America. My daughter’s hair came out great; however for the price it wasn’t worth it. I’m going to do my best to find a more affordable place.

I needed a hair cut real bad and I was walking by so I figured I would pop in and ask if they would take a walk in. I was greeted pleasantly by a women at the front desk and she stated absolutely. She was extremely warm and welcoming. I had my hair cut my Megha and I have to say it was the best cut I ever had. She was extremely friendly, warm and professional. She even made some great recommendations for products that would be good for my hair type without being pushy or salesy and taught me some great styling tips. I will definitely be back to see her again for future cuts. I’m super happy I stumbled upon this place and would definitely recommend it. Give this place a try and ask for Megha you won’t be disappointed.

I adore Salon De Claude, I have been coming here for sometime. I first met Claude at UCSD where she opened up a second salon. I got out to here main salon now that I am no longer a student.
The salon is great and a family run business that know hair! My hair always looks great and has been so much healthier after seeing Claude, she taught me ways to style my hair without heat and uses gentle products. I have thinner hair that breaks easily and she knows how to make it look and feel great. My hairstyle also grows out well and looks good in between salon visits.

Just ask for Victoria. I had an appointment for my 12 year old daughter who wanted a radical new look. Victoria took the time to talk to her and really understand what exactly she was looking for. What a professional!

Went to Claude this week after many failed attempts (at changing my dark brown/​red based hair to blonde) with other hair dressers. I had a orangey color on my hair and very damaged ends. Needless to say she was able to make it look blonde and also very healthy. I am so pleased with the results! Thank you again Claude!

Went here a while ago to have my hair styled but forgot to write a review. Great experience, I made an appointment but was seated right away and didn’t have to wait even a few minutes for my stylist.
My hair turned out beautiful, everyone loved it. My stylist– Victoria was very friendly and really knew how to work with the texture of my hair to get it the way I wanted it. I have had Victoria style my hair before and it always turned out well above my expectations.
This salon is in a nice area in 4S Ranch and is very clean with talented stylists. I have known the owners for a very long time and they are very nice and family oriented people. I used to work across the street, I will miss them now that I no longer work over there.
Definitely recommend this salon and Victoria! I would keep coming here if I still lived in the area.

Will never go to this place again! Ladies at the front desk were horribly rude! I went in to purchase Eminence products, which they knew nothing about and ended up leaving. I had asked for some samples of the product and they both just glared at me as if I were asking for something wrong? I ended up receiving a quick waxing service on top of all that and when she rang me up to pay she asked me if I wanted to tip. I told her how much and she replied, «how much.?» As if I wasn’t leaving enough tip for the service. Just very rude and made me feel uncomfortable. Never going back.

This is a review just for a quick bang trim.
Went in to get my bangs trimmed and everyone was very attentive. Receptionist helped me right away and Maureen cut my bangs. The cut didn’t take long and I can see now! She told me she layered it because my hair is fairly thick and so it’d grow out nicely.
I think I’ll come back to get an actual haircut next time.

I have been getting my hair done here for over two years and have never been happier with a salon. They have a great staff and lots of products in stock. Chloe does my hair and highlights, she’s the best!

Shena is THE BEST. In my tumultuous history of never wanting to cut and/​or trim my hair, I have never been unhappy with a haircut from her, ever. She’s great at what she does, and consistently delivers with great service. However, she is booked at least a month in advance! I’m not the only one who adores Shena’s work, lol. Definitely call within the first week of the month to snag an appointment!

While the stylists are great, this place has a serious problem with scheduling. After multiple friends have complained to me about being double booked with no apology, I’ve now joined them. It took multiple calls to book haircuts for both of my daughters. When I was finally offered an appointment for later that day, I gladly took it even though it meant clearing my work schedule and canceling work calls and my sitter. At the end if the call, I was told they actually only had an appointment free for one of my daughters. Uh, ok. I had to book an appointment for the following week for my other daughter. Weird, but I was desperate. I confirmed the times for both appointments at the end of the call. When I arrived later that day, I was told my appointment was for 3:30, not 1. I was told the mistake was mine. And no amends were offered. They just stood there. Considering this has happened to multiple friends of mine, I know I’m not the crazy one. I’m very sad to leave my wonderful stylist, but any place that doesn’t value the time of a working mom with three small children isn’t a good fit for me.

Truong is amazing! He’s been doing my hair for years now and always knows what to do with it! I don’t trust anyone else with my hair. I just go in and tell him to do whatever he wants with my hair and I always leave loving my hair (I get a cut and hi-​lights). I once «forced» him to give me bangs despite his hesitation and attempts to try to change my mind because I was so jealous of the cute sideways bangs I kept seeing on people and sure enough, I was hating my bangs the next day! Hahaha! I mean it was really cute and cut really well, but I just couldn’t stand my hair all over my forehead. I should have just listened to Truong and not gotten short bangs, LOL! He knows me and my little quirks so well! I will never again go against his judgment! =) Just by observing the way he cuts hair, one could tell that he truly is an artist. He cuts hair as if he’s sculpting a marble statue… perfection!
The salon is really nice and clean. I’m always offered coffee and/​or water. There are iPads for customers to use while waiting for their hair to «bake» =)

Pricey for a meh haircut…
I’ve gone here a few times and have had a different hairstylist each time. Mainly because I was never overly satisfied or giddy about my haircuts. It’s just well. mehhh
For the price you pay, I guess I was expecting a ‘WOW’ factor !
Service is friendly for the most part. They have some nice products such as Moroccan Oil and yes it’s pricey as well.
Nice location and it’s a one stop shop for me here: Nearby mani/​pedi, Fresh n Easy, restaurants, and a gas station.
Surprise there aren’t many reviews since they’ve been open for quite sometime. Hmm. maybe there isn’t much to write home about ???

$ 55 + tip might be a little pricey for some people, but I get my hair cut very infrequently (over a year in between) and the pampering definitely makes it worth it.
Each time I’ve been here, the scalp massage when they wash my hair has been AMAZING. My hair also smells great for the day and is incredibly shiny for a couple of weeks afterwards.
There is coffee in the waiting area as well as a number of beauty products to look at while you wait (and you may have to wait 10 – 15 minutes past your appointment time to get started) but what’s nice is they don’t push you to buy anything.
Claude does spend a lot of time styling hair, but she is creative and pretty much knows what to do just by looking at you if you aren’t sure what you want. She owns the salon, and is very friendly and funny – and she remembered me even though the last time I was in her salon was 1.5 years ago. Her daughters are the receptionists.
Also, if you go in for a cut and aren’t liking how it looks, you can try and go back in and ask to get it fixed. She did this for me free of charge just a few days after my haircut!

This review is for ONE person only at this salon. His name is Trong, and I would never go to anyone else! He is amazing. I followed him from another salon. Overall, the salon is really pretty, clean and has a nice design. They even had iPads for you to play with while your under the dryer. Trong is great at making you look and feel good– make sure to ask for him!

Stephanie at salon de Claude is wonderful. Just had a cut and foil to freshen up my look and get rid of gray. She is so sweet and really delivered the look I was going for. I have long hair and she listened to my request to keep length and not have any brassy color. I’m so glad to have found a person who made my hair look great and was so nice to be around!

The owner of the salon called me today and was very apologetic and seemed very sincere in trying to make things right. While I do not plan to go back to get my hair fixed, I do appreciate a business owner who stands behind the quality of her business.

The esthetician here is Milana and I have been going to her for 3+ years! She is FABULOUS!!! This salon is also WONDERFUL! It is new and beatiful. Couldn’t recommend it more!
