Best mattress store in San Diego! Got a great latex mattress there at a very good price. They are a manufacturer thus you are dealing directly with the source and the employees are extremely knowledgeable and helpful! Not at all like those annoying salesman types at the other stores who barely know anything and just want to do the used-​car salesman approach on everyone.
Everything here is organic and high quality! Not like other stores where they maybe have a few organic selections amidst a bunch of other junk. We were also very glad to see that they have a GREAT selection of other organic bedding — several types of pillows such as Kapoc and wool materials that you never see in any other stores but that are fantastic. We are super happy with those and with some organic flannel sheets we picked up. Worth a trip there just for the pillows and sheets.
The showroom is plain and basic and there are no fancy glossy brochures or cheesy salespeople in your face. Just the best-​quality bedding to be found in town and at very reasonable, manufacturer-​direct prices. They also do discounts for San Diego residents that seem to be only advertised in store so we were pleasantly surprised for the prices to be even lower there than what was on their website.

This is an awesome company with good ethics. Their products are very quality and very reasonably priced for organic and sourced in USA for many items. I bought an organic cotton, made in USA, USA grown cotton, flannel sheet set from them. They are phenomenal. I also own their organic cotton satin sheet set. They are all natural colors, very silky and quality made. My choice not have artificial dyes against my skin while I sleep. I feel good about these sheets.

I found out about Pure Rest from an article I read on apartment therapy’s website about stores that sell organic bedding. After looking at their website, I was excited to see that they are in San Diego. I was looking for a comforter and became interested in wool comforters. I was a little skeptical because they look kind of thin and are pricey. I was able to lay under one at their showroom for 10 minutes to make sure I would like it. I’ve had it now for about a week and I absolutely love it! It’s heavenly. They give local residents 20% off at the store which helps.

We visited the show room today, Sat. Jan. 10, to gather information about the mattresses. We met Dottie who allowed us to come in even though they are normally closed on the weekends which was very helpful since we live a two hours drive away and can’t come during the week. Dottie was very patient in explaining the different beds, their manufacturing process, their standards and testing certifications. We are new to researching organic mattresses so we were glad she was thorough and patient in explaining everything to us. Also, she did not try to pressure us to make a decision today; she said to think about it and we can order on-​line or over the phone.
I also called before coming to the store and talked to Lena and she also was very knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the advantages of their beds. I like the fact that the company has been in business for awhile and was started because they were looking for a safe and better mattress. My husband and I are definitely considering buying from this store as their quality seems to be better than other sources; they are truly concerned about making a fantastic product that will last a long time.
