As a person who works in a specialty clinic in a hospital, i feel confident of my review. I am caring for an elderly friend who, up until May or so, had neglected bills and forgotten appointments. One of the appointments she reportedly missed was with a Dr Abala. I made an appointment with him for my friend. Within a week i received a call that because she had missed an appointment he would not see her and she should see a doc in Encinitas. Hell no. I explained the situation and symptoms of dementia but he said no. In my opinion thats an asshole move. In the clinic i work in we are busy. In fact we have to block 4 – 5 hours for one appointment. If someone no shows we call them to see if they are alright and reschedule the person. So this Dr Abala is not professional as far as i feel so I’m transferring the lady to a Scripps doc to consolidate her care and receive kinder treatment
