Creepy building. Lacks good lighting. Carpet filthy. No kitchen at all. Burn holes in linen.

This is a transient hotel. I swear the local mental institutions and jails drop people off there. I live in a semi-upscale loft in an historic building to which the Plaza Hotel is attached. I am constantly harassed by the ‘guests’ who stay at the Plaza. Some of which stay there for months if not years, leading me to believe this is also a welfare hotel. The police and paramedics are there sometimes up to 3 times a day but at least once per day. Drugs are sold out of there as well. I truly feel bad for those ‘guests’ that are not suffering from schizophrenia, drug addiction or alcoholism and actually depend on the Plaza as a low income home. The place is a menace to everyone and every business on the block. ‘Guests’ of the Plaza hotel can also be frequently seen urinating and defecating on the sidewalk and surrounding businesses including the building in which I live. My wife has been threatened by ‘guests’ of the Plaza Hotel and for the past two days I have been followed for several blocks by a new ‘guest’ of the Plaza. I’m actually not sure if he even stays there, or if he just hangs around the front of the hotel like so many other vagrants. I honestly wish the place would be shut down and turned into a youth hostel for younger people visiting San Diego from abroad. Because right now, the place only attracts a bad element of crime and vagrancy.
