We were not from the area, so we Unilocal.Pitchers came up as close by, great food and a place to watch Sunday football. When we walked in Gwen greeted us with smile, gave us the low down on the place. There are No servers, you have to come to the bar if you want anything, drink prices are very reasonable, the place use to be a pizza joint before so it still is made fresh by hand. The place has be here since the late 80’s, people are from the neighborhood and friendly. With that said, we decided to stay. Gwen was right!!! The pizza was the bomb!!! As well as the buffalo wings and the cheesy mushrooms. Not your usual bar food, way better. There menu had something for everyone. The local peeps were friendly, it was an enjoyable Sunday afternoon. If your in the area and have a hankering for some great tasting pizza and you want to catch your sports on the tv, stop by Pitchers you won’t be disappointed. Yes, you can bring kids in, but remember it is a bar.

Solid American bar food selection and respectable draft beer picks. Staff was attentive but not smothering. Good selection of screens for sports viewing with a local bar feel.

Nice little dive bar in a small shopping center. My wife loved the wings, beer selection was ok. We went on a UFC fight night and they didn’t have a cover charge which is awesome. The place got so packed, there was barely room to get to the bathrooms.

First Impressions: You’re going to think, typical hole in the wall. I would call this a dive for sure, no doubt. But it is clean and the interior is pleasant. There is a bar, pool tables, booths lining the windows, tables and stools around the bar. Fairly small, but enough room for a group if you don’t mind not sitting together. The Service: The service here is very polite. I admit that the food takes a bit longer than I would like, but it isn’t bad considering that it is a bar. The Drinks & Bites: There is actually a nice selection of local brew on tab and a good selection of the tried and true favorites. There should be something for everyone. What I was most surprised about was the food. It is really tasty pub grub. My boyfriend and I were thrilled to find a dive where we can get inexpensive drinks and food that actually tastes good. Overall: This is a great location if you want to hang out for a casual beer, play a game of pool or watch your favorite sporting event. I really like this place and they will be seeing my face again(and again, and again!!!).

Ever wonder what happened to all the douchebags from high school who never grew up? They’re here at pitchers! Bro-hugs! Snapbacks! Fox branded clothing! Quicksilver gear! Its all here for you! Service was fine though. Limited beer selection. Bar smells kinda like cheap cologne and fuel leftover from a recent ATV riding trip in the desert.

Met here by chance, as it is a ½ way point from where my buddy lives; nevertheless, I will say that it has a neighborhood vibe, and everyone is nice. The beers and food are reasonable, we split the nachos which were good as well as the sliders and it is truly a good place even for the random customer. I’d go there again, simply because the prices are that good.

Great local bar with a great vibe and good bartenders. The food is above average for a dive bar and the TVs made this the best place in PQ to catch a Chargers game. There isn’t much in PQ in terms of bars so Pitchers is where it’s at!

I love this place. If you are looking for a chill, local sports bar that borders on dive, this is your place. Located in a strip mall, there is plentiful parking, which is great when it gets busy on a football Sunday. I go in mostly for lunch — the food is just incredible. Everything from the cheesy mushrooms to the philly cheesesteak to the house-made chips and salsa — not to mention the heavenly pizza prepared in the brick oven! I have had about 80% of the menu at this point and have never been disappointed. Nachos, grilled cheese sandwich, ceasar salad, YUM. My drinks are always accurate and rarely empty, and I am always able to pay and hit the road quickly when I need to skedaddle. Be warned, there is no table service. They mention it when you come in(if you look new) — you have to come up to the bar to order. This isn’t a fancy schmancy restaurant — it’s a relaxed bar. That said, the bartenders and cooks are all friendly, helpful people. From the first time I visited, I was made to feel welcome, introduced to other regulars, and provided recommendations for things to do/see in the area. They have 20 beers on tap, so you can enjoy the local flavors, and I’ve seen fancy drinks like Scooby Snacks and Mai Tai’s made well, too. No judgement here(unless you ask for a wine list — that’s not really the vibe). There are lots of screens and they are happy to help find«your game». I get a kick out of seeing 8+ teams represented on a football Sunday — no bad blood. There are two pool tables and a shufflepuck board. I usually bring a book to the bar, but I never end up reading here — I am always pulled into good conversation with the locals and leave with a smile on my face.

If you like extremely loud twenty something’s exchanging massive amounts of bro hugs this is your place. Mediocre food. Crowded bar makes it hard to order or get served.

Pizza and fries are a must here. The chipotle chicken wrap was pretty good, chicken was moist and not dry. I didn’t try it but my friends said the Cajun wings were quite good too. My brother and husband said the pizza here is better than your chain pizza joints, that’s a big statement. Fries were thin and crispy, yum! You have to order the food at the bar especially if it’s busy. The server we had brought us extra water, napkins and plates upon request, with no attitude and to me that goes a long way. This is a great place to hit up if you’re in PQ and need a place for a beer or two and a quick bite. I Love patronizing our local businesses!

I’ve been here a «few» times and have had great service. Yesterday was awful. I came in to pass time while my car was getting a tire fixed. I ordered my drink and appetizer right away. My drink came 10 min later. My appetizer didn’t come out for a total of 40 min. There was no one ordering food and it wasn’t busy. I had to get back to the place before it closed so I was stressing out on wtf was taking so long. Meanwhile the bartender was just schmoozing the whole time and sucking down drinks like no big deal. As soon as I had given up the appetizer came out. The guy tells me «sorry it took awhile I’m the only one working» working? Working? Wtf who are you working for ? I ordered nachos. No one was ordering food. What were you doing? Growing the chips? There is no reason it should take 40 min to make nachos. I paid for my drink and left. The attitudes I got also were super annoying. I have a friend that works here and I do like to come here but after yesterday I’m not sure I will be coming back.

Good ‘ol Pitchers~ This bar is one of my fave local bars to go to located in PQ for many years now! Pitchers is better than some of the other local dive bars in the area. as it shows with local patrons all having a good time. People are usually eating, up at the bar, and catching up with friends and familiar faces all around. I tried the food a few years ago and from what I remember it was pretty good. Also for those who prefer to play, they have shuffleboard and pool tables. They have about three booths and a few tables, and plenty of stools and chairs by the bar. It’s fairly small here and can get crowded around different holidays throughout the year. Also this place is great to catch sports as they have a projection screen and a few TV’s up at the bar. I love their drinks as the the bartender makes good drinks at decent prices and they also have a nice variety of beers on tap. Overall this is a chill place to grab a drink :)

This is where everybody knows your name and you’re always glad you came! Cheap beer and eats perfect to catch up or meet and greets… It’s like a high school reunion every time you step foot in here. a great place to watch sporting events too!

Let me begin my review by saying that this is partially my fault. I don’t give a crap about sports and I came here on a Monday night during football season. Here is where it is no longer my fault… We walk in before the game starts and the place is already crowded. We grab a booth and patiently wait for someone to come and serve us. After about fifteen minutes of no service, we realize that the poor girl working behind the bar is the only person here to serve. That’s right: only one person working in a SPORTSBAR during Monday night football. Bless her heart. I think her name was Jill. She was awesome! I don’t know why she was by herself, but I hope she walked home with a lot of money because she deserved it. I give this place two stars because the owners need to look out for how their establishment is being run. We ended up leaving our booth and ordering our drinks and pizza at the bar. It took quite a while(I’m guessing there was only one person in the kitchen). Oh, and there were tons of fruit flies that kept flying into our drinks. Blurgh. Owner, take care of your bar, your employees, and most importantly your customers. Odds are we won’t be back and it’s a shame because we live like two blocks away.

With TVs, grub & beer surrounding you… what more can you ask for when watching a football game? Like everyone stated… this place needs better lighting(okeh cleaner restrooms, too)… heck, cleaner everything. But, this is a bar people… if you want fine dining, Pitchers isn’t a place to head to.

FIRSTIMPRESSIONS Came here once ages ago + wasn’t super impressed. Returned recently for Tuesday trivia + have enjoyed a much nicer experience. Noteworthy selection of local suds. THEDIGS Beer selection is pretty good for this neck of the woods; not many big craft beer bars in town. But Pitchers offers up some great local + not-so-local craft breweries for your drinking pleasure thanks to Danny the bartender. Food is satisfactory pub fare. I will admit my exposure is limited because I usually eat before I come out for Live Prize Trivia on Tuesdays. Which takes me to my next point: Trivia Tuesdays are the major draw for me here. I enjoy flexing my grey matter from time to time, especially when the winning teams are rewarded with a $ 20-$ 30 bar tab. Not too shabby if you’ve got what it takes to de-throne some of the larger regular teams. Service is excellent. Our Tuesday bartender, Danny, is on point. He knows his craft up, down, + sideways + always has a smile on his face. Happy patrons make for a successful + busy environment. THEVERDICT Pitchers is a great dive bar for sports enthusiasts. Set your expectations to loud + local + you won’t be disappointed by this watering hole.
