Didn’t expect too much, and was not disappointed. I decided to order the #10 sausage platter with 3 pierogies to try as much of their menu in one meal. The polish sausage was very standard, though cooked well. The bun it came in was very crispy(bordering too hard for me). I believe I had one each of the potato, meat, and mushroom(?) pierogies. They had a great texture but the flavor was lot memorable. Overall, I was happy they were outside the brewery I was beering out at, but would not seek out the truck.

It was the first time I’ve seen food truck with european food and I knew I had to try it. The stuff was very helpful and polite and they recommended to try their best selling sausage and pierogi. The food was very good and I am sure to buy again from them.

I ran into this food truck at the Grossmont Center Food Truck Gathering that meets every Thursday at 5:30PM. I ordered one of the specials of that day, the smoked salmon sandwich on croissant sandwich for around $ 10. I was really looking forward to enjoying the smoked salmon specifically, but unfortunately they did not put enough of the salmon for me to enjoy. Seriously, they only put one thin layer of the salmon, so the only ingredients I could taste were the uneventful croissant, that reminded me of a Costco brand, and the cream cheese. I had to eat, what little smoke salmon the sandwich had, off the croissant to really appreciate it. On its own, the salmon did taste good, but the sandwich needed at least three layers of the salmon to not only make it worth the $ 10, but the actually taste it and in the end, enjoy the sandwich. The cream cheese was good, and I liked the chopped scallions and sliced tomatoes added on the side, but the croissant was okay. It was a little dry and it was served cold, so its texture was a not as moist and flaky as a good croissant should be. I hope next time I run into this food truck, I have better results. More smoked salmon please…

Had the meat pierogis, and the were pretty good! Good sauce, nice cabbage on the side. The ladies were nice and seemed authentic. Service was a little bit slow, but not too bad.

MSG warning! It’s in their food and if you have sensitivities to this cheap, destructive and unhealthy additive then you will get migraines and gastrointestinal problems. Too bad they use it, but the food tasted good.

Wanted to find a good polish place for my homesick girlfriend, everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Honestly don’t think you can order something and not be happy with it

As an implant from the northeast, and having a Polish wife… finding some good Eastern European food is a must for us. We love being able to find this truck when it is out. The family is so nice and the food is sooo good. I personally love the basic potato pirogies and the stuffed cabbage. I wish they would open a restaurant, as the area is really lacking some good polish food :/ The truck has a regular schedule, which they update on their site. I would recommend this as being worth at least a 30 minute drive if you have the craving.

Took a little bit to get the food — but t was so worth it! My wife and I loved the polish sausage, the pierogies were just fantastic and freshly made and the onions they were served with just fantastic!!! Or favorite was probably the potato and cheese stuffed pierogi — though the meat was good too. I think instead of the platter next time we will just stick to pierogies — though, the sausage itself was just fantastic, they didn’t offer on the menu the ability to order just sausage by itself… Prices ranged from $ 10 – 16 for pierogies and sausages and $ 6 for 2 blitzes which were very good too!

Comparing this to other food trucks, this one gets five stars! The staff is friendly and helpful in explaining what you get, what’s in it, and what to put together for a great meal. The owners really care about the authenticity of their food. The Polish Sausage comes all the way from Chicago, and it’s wonderful! Served on a bun with good-quality Sauerkraut. Cabbage rolls are delicious, as well as the Pierogis — Such satisfying and tasty comfort food! Not a light meal, but that’s Eastern European food! And don’t get me started on the amazing dessert blintzes! I saved some of my dinner for the next day, just to have room for them, and boy was I happy!(Big, happy smile insert here!) When I want to splurge(calorically) on comfort food, this will be one of my first choices!

Very disappointed!!! During my work lunch hour, I waited 30 minutes for my Hungarian Pancake, which cost me $ 16!!! RIDICULOUSPRICE! The pancake meal looked nothing like their pic. I had to walk back over to the truck to ask for my cabbage. They had something esle on there but, they didn’t give me that. The«goulash» in between the 2 burnt greasy pancakes was minimal at best. I counted 7 chunks of meat(½″ cube) and 5 small slices of mushroom. So NOT worth $ 16. Look at the pic of the hungarian pancake below. NOPE… looks nothing like it. I did get a ¼ cup of green onions. YUK! OH…and, the poor guy before me who ordered the Tripe Soup… was still waiting when I came back to get my cabbage. That should have been made ahead of time!

The Polish combo is AWESOME! Absolutely the best Polish food eatery in San Diego. The next best Polish food can be had at the Polish Festival in October at the Polish Mission on Grand Avenue in Pacific beach.

Found these guys parked outside BNS while I was out there putting down some tasty suds. They had some classics on the menu — pierogies, stuffed cabbage, polish sausage. I couldn’t decide between the three so went with the polish combo! The stuffed cabbage was not what I expected. It was really good! And I’ve already lowered my standards since moving out of Minneapolis — where Kramarczuks Delicatessen spoiled me rotten. So I was in my happy place. Minced meat and spices wrapped in steamed cabbage leaves and covered with tomato sauce. It was really good. The pierogies came in three varieties — mushroom, cheese, and meat. The mushroom was my personal fav but all three were very tasty. The polish sausage was flavorful, smoked, and cooked perfectly. Topped with kraut(savory not the vinegary kind thankfully) and onions it had a great mix of spice, smoke, and crunch from the break. All in all a great spot and worth picking up some of these vittles when you’re nearby.

I was really really super duper excited to learn that the Pierogi Truck was going to be at BNS last night at the exact same time as we planned to end our brewery tour for a friends son’s 21st Birthday. I have been pining after trying the delectable tasty bites from this truck. I want to say it was supercalafragalisticexpialadoshus but alas it was not. I think pierogi’s are the bee’s knees and order them whenever I have the opportunity. So in an effort to try a couple of items on the menu, my girlfriend and I decided to order the cheese and potato pierogi’s 6 plate and the polish sausage and split it… Portion wise it was great. Splitting both of them was the perfect amount of food to saturate our beer infested bellies. The quality of the food was just eh… The pierogi’s were cold… and the potato on the inside was dry but had good flavor. The onions had great flavor too. They were a little greasy. The polish sausage was decent but the bread it came on was so hard it cut my mouth and I had to remove it. Same onions on the sausage and I added some mustard cause mustard is the shit. The sausage wasn’t hot either… it was disappointing. We also ordered a tuna sandwhich that for some reason took 10 minutes longer to prepare than our pierogi’s and sausage… Things that make you go hmmm. So $ 25 for some okay food truck food that did the job of allowing us to drink more… Okay I can dig it.

Finally the stars aligned and I got to try what everyone has been talking about! I highly recommend the pierogis! You get a variety to choose from and you really can’t go wrong with any of them. You can find their location via their website. On some days, they are parked outside one of SD’s local breweries which truly creates the best of two worlds’ dining experience! Enjoy!

Ordered the Hunter Stew, we were told it is beef with sauerkraut. When the order came out we only saw sauerkraut, we ask again what’s suppose to be in it, showed the lady our food and moved the sauerkraut out of the way to show there was nothing in it really. N no we were not rude, we asked nicely because we didn’t know what else is there. We thought they forgot the meat. She was upset, she told us that we should look on the left side of the container and as we did n of course we saw about 2 bits of meat. She was still upset and defensive and stated that the whole purpose is to have the meat taste and that the sauerkraut is expensive. Okay if that’s your deal don’t advertise meat then as the base of the stew. Charging$ 12 for sauerkraut is not justifiable lady. Horrible service. Should have order a polish sausage at $ 9 at the food truck next to it. What a waste, would have gotten meat n sauerkraut n probably without the attitude at the truck over. Thats what I get for helping this truck out. Lame. Never again.

Pierogi! Pierogi! Pierogi! I love pierogis! This is probably my favorite food truck in San Diego. I order the 2−2−2, which used to be on the menu but I didn’t see it the last few times I ran into the Pierogi food truck. However, you can still order it. It’s two potato, two mushroom, and two meat pierogis. They are delicious! I am always so excited when I see the Pierogi truck.

Dare I say my favorite food truck ever?! I first discovered them at the San Diego Night Market and I haven’t stopped thinking about them since. I tried their spinach pierogi, which comes in 6 for $ 8. They are huge dumpling-like creations and generously filled with spinach. They are topped with caramelized onions and green onions and comes with a side of a white dipping sauce. Sooo mouthwateringly good! Something about that sauce that makes you want more… I had the opportunity to try them again two days ago in Mira Mesa and ordered the same. They unfortunately ran out of the potatoes and cheese pierogi. I’ll definitely have to try that next time.

DEEEE-licious. Very yummy. I had the meat pierogis(pork) and the potato and cheese pierogis. The meat ones were out of this world. The other ones were very good too. I felt that it was expensive for $ 9. You get 6 good-sized pierogis and some yummy sour cream sauce in a paper tray thing. No seating, no real service. Is that a good deal? Not so sure. BUt they were delicious. The truck is cool. Love going to Food Truck Tuesday. Be ware that there is no place to sit, unless you walk a few blocks to the park(which is great, too). We’ll go definitely go back. Yum.

I bought a blood sausage and 6 pierogi from the Pierogi Truck to split with my husband at home. I eyed the blood sausage suspiciously, added some mustard, then dived in. The meal was interesting. The sign says the pierogi are homemade and I think they were, but not sure when. The flavors were interesting but the textures were too much like reheated cafeteria style. Worth trying, yes, but not like the homemade fresh ones we had in Poland. We had pierogi with different fillings, which is the fun way to try it. I liked the food well enough to consider trying the polish sausage if I see the truck again. I discovered the Pierogi Truck on Governor drive between 5 and 7pm on Wednesday at a weekly food truck event which benefits UC Educate. I do think this truck offered the best looking food at the event. If you see this truck, I recommend that you give the food a try. It’s a little pricey for food that comes out of a truck, but it was fun and interesting. Besides, 10% of the profits for this event is for UC Educate.

Holy cow. I’ve eaten there several times, and it’s always been delicious, but they’ve totally nailed it now. I was literally saying MMMM after every single bite. SO FREAKING DELICIOUS The sour cream sauce(it’s not exactly sour cream-I think there’s garlic it in) is simply divine and the tiny pieces of bacon are savory. The grilled onions add the perfect hint of sweetness. Just so, so good. I had mushroom & kraut, pork, and potato & something(I forget) and the pork was actually my favorite, although they were all good. Oh man. Just. So good.

This is a legit place! Trust me — I am Polish. I tried their Hungarian Pancake which is two potato pancakes covered with a pork stew and finished off with a dollop of sour cream sprinkled with chives. So tasty, filling and warming you from the inside on a cooler California night. Very friendly service, I only wished the prices were a little more affordable. The Pancake dish was over 10 $ which was well worth it, but not many want to spend that much on a take out meal too often. I recommend adding them on Facebook where they make updates about their planned location and hours. I will be back to try what is to be my last meal on earth: Potato and Cheese Pierogi!
