This place is awesome, nothing beats a make your own pizza. If you’re craving pizza then I really really recommend this place. Usually I order some type of Hawaiian pizza with pineapples and mushrooms. The seating area is very big and is able to accommodate large groups as well as small groups. The parking lot is also pretty big and you really shouldn’t have any problem finding parking.

I’ve been to different Pieology locations but this one is by far my favorite. Great staff. I came in on a rough day and Alec was thee most personable and helpful person I’ve ever interacted with at a fast food place. You made my day. #pineapplesoneverything

Pizza is good. Thin crust in a stone oven. It just wasn’t outstanding. The garlic and basil toppings weren’t very strong so Couldn’t have been super fresh. Great selection of toppings. I did like the red sauce it had tons of flavor. I just wasn’t wowed for the price.. Very friendly but won’t let you do a custom side salad. Not great for people with special diets.

Came with 7 other friends, 6 out of 8 pizzas were burnt. When we showed it to the staff, they said«that’s just the colouring of the oven». See attached pictures with the bits of dough that became charcoal and judge for yourself.

Decent pizza sure, not hard to screw that up. But my pizza was so oily I’m sure that the United States was going to invade it. Not the best, not the worst.

I’m not a picky eater by any means, but picky enough that any ‘build your own’ option is always fab on my list. I love Pieology Pizza. The lines move quickly, the staff is friendly and efficient, and there is a very large variety of toppings. I love that you aren’t limited to a set amount of anything. That said, a great pie, at a reasonable price, for under $ 10. What’s not to love about that!

Not really a fan. From the start of the whole process u can tell without a doubt, this place needs better management. The majority of the condiments were mixed in other trays. The line was messy and employee hair control was not enforced. One of the females had wild hair, I’m sure at one point during her shift someone got a hair in their pizza. The way they spoke was not welcoming, but more demanding. Professionalism is none existent in this work environment. As for the actual food, OFCOURSETHAT S*** is bomb! You make it yourself so it’s to your liking. The wait is like five minutes.

Holy cow, tried Pieology for the first time today & it was delicious! I’ve tried Project Pie & Social life, two other DIY pizza concepts, & this place is 100 times better. They have a variety of toppings, whole wheat crust, vegan cheese, & an after bake! Those are particularly why I was really fond of this place. Most other custom pizza places don’t really have whole wheat bread, vegan cheese, & a after bake so I thought that was pretty cool. I ordered… A CUSTOMPIZZA: My pizza was created on top of a whole wheat pizza crust. I did half white sauce & half pesto. I added a shit ton of veggies to make myself feel better about eating a whole pizza to myself. Haha. Btw. They’re not too big OR too small so I suggest you get your own so you can 100% satisfy yourself without feeling overly full. Anyway, after all those veggies I did an after bake, this is when they bake your pizza and when it’s done, you choose any sauce to put on top & they bake it again. After the after bake I asked if I can add more tomatoes on top because I love fresh tomatoes. CUSTOMERSERVICE: They were quick & friendly!

I absolutely love Pieology. I love the thin crust and customization. They’re always friendly. I frequent this location, and the one on Valley Pkwy in Escondido. Both have consistent quality and customer service. I’ve never asked for a pizza to be re-cooked in the 20+ times I’ve been to a Pieology, but I came on a late night and I assume the oven had just had a long day. This night, Pieology ran out of grape tomatoes, which is my favorite ingredient, but hey, it happens. They of course said that I could replace it with any other ingredient for no extra charge. When I received my pizza, I had a slice and a half and noticed that it had a very strong taste of burnt crust and bread. I looked at the bottom and while it didn’t look particularly charred, except for a bit on the crust, there was a lot of residue from the oven. I know this isn’t a fault of the workers — maybe more attention needs to be given to the oven itself(cleaning), but it’s understandable. I’m not a rude customer who thinks we live in a picture perfect world. Ovens get used and they get dirty throughout the day. It’s not a dirty restaurant, just heavily frequented. I politely asked for my pizza to be re-baked, hoping maybe this time they place it on an area in the oven where it didn’t have as much build-up. It really makes me uncomfortable to ask for anything to be re-cooked, but it was late and we were starving. The pizza just tasted burnt and it was, in our opinion, inedible. After they re-made it, the pizza was relatively the same, but I just took it at this point and went home. However, before we left the dining area, one of the workers gave me a free pizza coupon and apologized for the pizza, saying,“I just really want you to be happy with your food. I spoke with my manager and we’d like to give you a free coupon for another pizza.” It was an awfully nice gesture. I wanted to share this experience because it’s nice to see how caring the employee was. She seemed really concerned that I wasn’t getting a quality product. I took off one star because I’m not going to give a five star review when this happened to the product, and they ran out of ingredients about two hours before closing, but it was a pleasant experience regardless of what happened, and they did try to remedy the situation with no problem. Will visit again.

Personal Pizzas! The concept of having the customer create their own personal pizzas is pretty funny because you’ve been doing that when you go to Dominos/Pizza Hut/etc. I think it’s having the visual of seeing your toppings go onto your pizza that makes these sort of food chains super appealing! My go to is to have the garlic crust along with the marinara sauce! I generally tend to ask for only meat because i love meat and vegetables… are good for other occasions. They don’t really charge you extra for asking for more meat, so don’t be shy to ask! I personally love their sausage, pepperoni, and bacon! This location is really big~ It can fit huge parties and after you guys can get some delicious breads from 85’C! You can top off your pizza with their sauces for no extra sauce! If you feel like ‘saucin it, try the bbq! It’s my favorite!

I’m a fan of these make your own pizza places. You get a quality product and a plethora of ingredients to customize to your liking. This particular location is clean, has plenty of seating, and has friendly service. My only issue is that the crust can get burnt at times. Some times the crust is perfect golden brown, other times it is burn and black in some places.

Pizza Heaven! Pizza at Pieology Pizzeria is like subs @ Subway or Mexican @Chipotle. You just cannot go wrong. At $ 8.45+tax, you can create your own custom pie with unlimited toppings. This includes extras of everything, as much meat, and anything you can imagine your perfect pizza to be: D. and let me tell you, you can go all out!!! I am usually too excited to make my own so I haven’t got the chance to try any of their signature pizzas, however, the Alfredo’s Alfredo looks great! So basically, you walk in and choose your pie base(whole wheat or white), followed by oil or herb butter, and then go on to pick cheeses, veggies, and meats. Then they pop it in the oven and let it bake into deliciousness :) Also love their«after Bakes» which is extra sauces — they have Pesto, BBQ, house red, and buffalo. Love the pesto one. I love the inspiring quotes around the restaurant and customer service is great! Awesome spot for vegetarians because you can get tons of veggies without feeling shy!

Stopped in here because I’ve been craving a pizza and boy am I glad I saw pieology! It’s a cool place with a simple ordering system. From what I understood, they only have one size for pizza and 2 different doughs: white or wheat – awesome! I hate when places have way too many sizes and prices and this and that. So it’s also unlimited toppings! Hello! That’s amazing! They walk you through ordering if you’ve never been and then they pop the pizza into the open fire oven. Takes about 5 minutes and bam! Time to eat your pizza. I shared my pizza but I’m sure one could finish it on their own. One pizza came out to about 9.25 which isn’t bad in my opinion. The only downfall is that there is no TV in there so we couldn’t watch Sunday football. I would still come again!

Great place for lunch — DIY thin crust pizza fired up in a big oven, by friendly employees. Wheat or white crust? Alfredo or tomato sauce? And toppings galore. They also have pieology creations… I ordered the vegetarian one and added extra toppings. The result? A most satisfying, hearty pizza that I can proudly call my own… Next time more basil topping and garlic Would make it even better. I didn’t want to stuff myself so I took the rest to go in the boxes they leave out for customers. Dave, the manager was super! He went from table to table to make sure customers were good with their meal. Good family environment. Service was very good and fast. Plenty of seating. Easy parking in a big lot(can get busy). I’ll be back!

I’ve never been to a place like this before. I was really excited to try and make my own pizza, but in the end it wasn’t as great as I expected :( ORDER/SERVICE: First thing when I ordered, girl in the front asking for our crust was pretty grumpy not gonna lie(I do give everyone the benefit of the doubt, so I’ll take into consideration she was having a bad day). She put on my cheeses and then moved on to the pizza. I waited a while for the next person to help me with my vegetables. I put on garlic, artichokes, olives and onions. I topped my pizza off with chicken and bacon. TASTE: The taste of my pizza was okay. Probably my fault for not mixing good flavor combinations. I would recommend not getting the garlic. It’s not fresh at all and leaves a sour taste in your mouth. Also, the bottom of my pizza was a little black and tasted pretty charred. Overall, this place is ok. I would recommend going simple with less choices than with more, or go with one of the pre made ones. Sometimes you get so excited that you put too much stuff on the pizza and it comes out bad.

Another make-it-yourself pizza place with $ 7.95 pies. This one is next door to 85C. Blaze is the other one across the street in the Target plaza. I was pleasantly surprised with how good my Pieology pizza was. I was sure I’d like Blaze better because of the ‘fancier’ toppings(like caramelized onions, caramelized whole garlic cloves at Blaze vs. red onions, chopped garlic at Pieology). I think it was perfect balance of sauce, toppings, and crust. The lady that made my pizza put a lot of toppings on so there was only a little sliver of crust, which is how I like it. Also, they can pre-brush the crush with herb butter(herbs, garlic, and butter) and then top it with your sauce. All of the toppings are uncooked(kind of like what you’d find at Subway), so a little bit more humble than other DIY pizza places. You can still add herbs and even an afterbake of additional sauce.

I’d always meant to go to this Pieology location — especially after my girlfriend brought me to the one in Chino Hills a few months back — so I figured it was time when I got a BOGO coupon for my birthday that came due yesterday. Let’s see… a 11.5″ pizza that’s 8 bucks, and a free one besides? SCORE! The way Pieology works is this: you choose the thin crust you want(white or wheat), the type of sauce and base, your cheese, veggies, and proteins. The friendly staff puts it in the oven, and eight minutes later, your pie is done! And for those of you who may get overwhelmed with what to put on your pizza, there’s also premade recommendations on the menu as well. On this visit, I went with the following on both pies: wheat crust, garlic and herb butter base, red sauce, mozzarella and gorgonzola cheeses, onions, kalamata olives, bell peppers, artichoke hearts, extra garlic, pepperoni, and sausage. As expected my order turned out great — the flavors blended well, and while it was a bit tough to cut through the crust with the butter knives provided, I was able to finish off most of my pizza and bring some leftovers(and the remaining pie) home to the family. They liked it, but wondered why I added so much garlic. I told them, «If you want to make your own, head to Pieology!» The ambiance is pretty chill — I liked the wall of inspirational quotes near the entrance and along the soda fountain. Love this place! Can we get one in Mira Mesa, please?

Pizza meets Subway/Chipotle concept! There are pizzas made to order or you can customize your own. &, they are cooked in a wood fire pit, that is my type of pizza! I ordered: Alfredo’s Alfredo = Olive oil, Alfredo sauce, parmesan, mozzarella, garlic, artichokes, basil, grape tomatoes, black pepper on a thin crust — Yum! A flavorful white pizza! Even though it is a speciality pizza, you can add additional toppings for free! Perfect to share between 2.

I have fallen hard and fast for the make-your-own artisanal pizza chain restaurants. With unlimited toppings, you could create a pizza desirable to your liking within minutes utilizing various sauces like garlic herb butter or marinara to different meats like spicy chicken to pepperoni to sausage to varying sauces on top like BBQ or pesto. Pieology is set at a decent price, and just 1 pizza usually can last me for 2 meals. It’s fast and easy. There’s nothing to not love about it IMO.

Where has this place been all my life. I LOVE pizza but can’t eat it all the time because it’s so unhealthy… but this place gives me the alternative to have a bomb-ass delicious pizza + make it healthy if I want to!!! oh and its $ 8 for UNLIMITEDTOPPINGS!!! I would come here everyday if I could… I usually get the 12-inch pizza with pesto sauce, lots of mushrooms, pineapples, buffalo chicken, regular chicken, spinach, tomatoes, and it goes on. You can get as much as you want for just one price! They then put it in this huge oven and it’s ready within 5 – 10 minutes! I love it how the crust is so thin & crispy too. Would definitely be coming back :) I recommend: — Get anything that your heart desires ;)
