WHYWEWENTHERE: — TACOTUESDAY THELOOK(FROMTHEOUTSIDE): — honestly I don’t even remember; it was dark and I was pretty involved with conversing with my cousins THELOOK(FROMTHEINSIDE): — has more of a divey/sports bar feel to it — servers wear plaid/flannel shirts and shorts WHATWEORDERED: — I can’t really tell you because the PB Cantina website won’t tell me what the menu is so I can job my memory, but what I DO remember is that we ordered 2 of the super large drinks and a TON of tacos, each at least one of the meats available THETASTE: — the drinks were good, but would prefer less ice for more drink — the tacos weren’t the best, but at the same time, you can’t beat the price on Tuesday’s — the best tasting taco meat was the ground(beef?)! — I also like how the tacos come with rice and beans(if I’m not mistaken) but if you really want the most out of your money, eat more tacos and less rice and beans! OURSERVER: — Tien! So cute! So nice! — so my cousins took me out to this place to show me what’s good with Taco Tuesday — they told Tien, «this is our cousin in the Bay, we’re just trynna show her what’s up» — our meal wasn’t really finished yet when Tien told us she was gonna clock out and wanted to know if we wanted to close our tab or if we wanted to switch it over to the next server — we told her we’d close it so we can tip her vs whoever she was going to switch the tab to — the total was about $ 40, and I gave her a $ 10 tip — she seemed very gracious about the tip, which didn’t seem like a big deal to me(I mean, it’s only $ 10) but to show her gratitude she gave me a complimentary birthday shot — what’s funny is that my birthday is in August, so my cousins and I think she misheard them when they said«Bay» and she probably took it as «Birthday» — nevertheless she was great!

It’s a cool place for the most part. I gave it 3 stars because maybe i was just having an off day. For some reason it’s really hot in there and drinks were whatever

I love the sunset rolls and most of the food is great but the service, sucks!!! It’s a bar and I don’t really blame them but when it’s empty, your food shouldn’t take forever. I don’t recommend it!

Where do I start? OK, I“ll start with the positives(ish)…This place has a lot of TV’s so that’s good if you come to watch sports. They have food and drinks… the food isn’t too bad, but its mostly all fried bar food, so nothing to make you choose to come here over any other bar. Now the negatives… and I’ll only mention a few so you get the point. What would keep me from coming here is the fact that its filthy, as in, there is barf all over the mens room from the night before, because its only noon when I showed up to watch the game. Another thing to keep me from coming here… $ 8.50 for a beer, a Pacifico, not a craft IIPA pint, but a draft Pacifico. Another thing would be the added 4.9% tax they charge(and don’t mention to you anywhere on the menu or by your server) to help them cover their minimum wage increases. I don’t think I’d have a huge issue with this if I was told about it before I ran up a bill… but really, its easier if you just raised your prices a little bit and no one was the wiser… Problem with that is, your prices clearly are raised. I mean, really, $ 8.50 for a beer. If a minimum wage employee served 20 of these $ 8.50 beers an hour you should easily be able to pay them minimum wage. Also, you shouldn’t have signs that say«NOSMOKING before 10PM» and allow smoking at noon. Just Sayin’

Shawn was fantastic as normal. He knew exactly what I wanted when I walked up to the bar. That’s the welcome I love when I come here. Shawn always leave a great impression. Will be back for his white gummy bears

We’ve been here for taco Tuesday a few times. $ 6 for unlimited but you have to get a drink. They have the everywhere so your game will always be on. It’s owned by the same ppl from Cabo so it’s the exact same thing.

I love this place. The bartenders make good drinks and have great personalities. I love a bar with excellent service and here you will get that. I always come here when I hang out with my friends that live in PB. It’s fun here !

I’ve definitely had way better. Mexican food in San Diego should be good no matter what. We popped in for a fun Taco Tuesday… And the only thing that was fun was walking out of there after our experience. Tacos were pretty dry and not flavorful. Margaritas were ways too sweet. Sevice was the only thing that gets the two stars in this joint. I’d suggest waiting the extra 30 – 45 mins to go to the spots around the corner.

Jenna is the only reason we keep coming in here. That and the manager Balto treats everyone like royalty. Chef Joe needs to go! I mean line cook Joe.

The food sucks… esp the«lobster» corn chowder– it had nothing to do w lobster. The carne Asada tacos sucked too– were edible when smothered w guac and salsa. Everything on the menu was super unhealthy and pretty much all apps were fried… def would not eat here again The place has obviously good drink prices and pretty cool spot to watch games, which is way I gave it 3 stars.

Unlimited mimosa? Unlimited mimosa. How was it you ask? Good question. I would not know because I did not order the unlimited mimosa. But I did order their tower of mimosa. Was one enough for a party of four? No, one tower was not enough for a party of four. Solution? We ordered two towers of mimosa.

PB Cantina SD: PB 6pm Sunday 23rd August 2015 Four Stars This Pacific Beach classic was great on Sunday evening. The place had a good energy without the ridiculous frat boy feel. Plus you can actually carrying on a conversation. I had a couple double patron and sodas for $ 11 each. They serve their drinks in clickclacks which is understandable. The bartender was nice and attentive. Note: no smoking on the patio during the day.

I only like coming here for the huge margaritas and fiesta fries! Today my coworker and I decided to try their Taco Tuesday. Tacos weren’t that great but definitely hit the spot because we were starving! Our waitress was very nice and other waiters came by to check on us. The drinks are always strong, but very tasty!

Must be 21+ to enter. On Tuesdays they have $ 5 all you can eat tacos, with a purchase of a drink. I ordered their watermelon margarita. Man that thing was huge and strong! I was expecting a slushie type margarita, so the liquid was gross. They give you 2 tacos at a time, with a small cup of salsa. The tacos are soo bland and dry that the salsa that they give isn’t enough. They also double wrap their tacos with corn tortilla. I recommend peeling off one of the tortillas so you don’t fill up on bread. This place gets really crowded on taco Tuesday’s where some people have to stand to eat. Loud music, and has that pb vibe. They have a lot of waitresses and there always there to check up on you, which is a plus!

I am going to update my review because I did give this place another chance but my review is solely on the food. I love cabo nachos hands down the best nachos ive had. I have been getting them a while now when I go to cabo cantina. My opinion on this place still remains the same. They had a band when I was there it was okay not something I’d return to see staff was friendly. I did feel I should add another star for food but def not giving this place a better review.

Ahhhh I freaking love this place! Great music, chill vibes and good drinks! What more could you want?! Also, if like spicy drinks, order the Diablo margarita. Soooo delicious! They have a lot of tvs inside so great place to watch sports, they have a beer pong table and outdoor seating. Only one side of the outdoor seating was smoking only which was inconvenient for me because I like to smoke when I drink – oh well. A lot of people also brought their dogs in so I assume they’re cool with that. Overall, yesss I’d definitely come back!

Came here on Monday(Memorial Day) with a few friends to grab their happy hour specials. The have a buy one get one drink specials and half off appetizers! We ordered our drinks & snack to munch on while we watch the golden state warriors game. We ordered chips and salsa and a side of queso dip for only $ 2 and some change! They have a bunch of tvs with all different sports on. The ambiance was like any other sports joint, tipsy/drunk sports fan cheering on their team. Our waitress was nice but she was forgetful. She forgot our drinks the second round and she only came by once. Can’t really tell who works there since they’re in regular street clothes and a little black apron around their waist. So we just sat there with empty cups trying to figure out who can help us! I would come back here again to take advantage of their happy hour. But wouldn’t come back and pay full price.

This place makes my ADD explode. Too many signs, too many tv’s too many menu items, too many activities and flashy things! My boss has dragged us here twice he loves their ginormous cucumber margaritas that are the size of his head. We went here the first time a few weeks after I started working there and he sucked down like 3 of them and I was still on one martini. They have no goose so I ordered a Belvedere slightly dirty martini. well they fcked that up, way too durty. sent it back they fcked it up again. I said Ok no dirty at all just make it right. The 3rd one was drinkable… anyway so the new boss thought i was some primadonna picky betch I am sure, but then I got up and sang them some Gaga and well that night went down in history. We all had terrible headaches the next day. I never get headaches unless it is cheap alcohol… but I ordered Belvedere right? So maybe just a fluke? Fast forward several months and I quit my job so the boss is sad I am leaving takes us here again I remembered how they can’t make a durty martini and order just the Belvedere martini since they don’t have goose… guess what? I am home hungover as hell today off of 2 martini’s. WHATTHEHELL? This is no fluke, they MUST be switching out the good booze with cheap stuff. I NEVER get hungover from 2 martini’s of quality alcohol, which Belvedere is… when it is actually Belvedere. All of us had migraines today. The food sucks here big time don’t do it. It’s like frozen boxed taquitos and shit. They have the worst chips and salsa I have ever had. Thick stale and gross. The salsa tasted like canned. The bartenders need to learn how to make a drink. I am onto them switching out the good booze with fake cheap stuff so stick with beer here. The only good thing about this place is we always have a very nice friendly waitress who is on top of things!
