Dr. Pavel is great.
As a patient, he has treated me though a bad jaw infection that required bone grafting. I’m now almost done getting my implant. It has been a great experience! nobody likes having surgery, but he provides sedation (or one can opt for local) which makes it painless. Well, at least the procedure.
As a professional colleague, I have taken care of any of his patients. None have made comments that were poor. And when an immediate consultation or discussion was needed, Dr. Pavel was always available to discuss his patient’s care.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Pavel’s since 1995. I have a full mouth of implants and he has placed most of them. He has done bone grafting and a sinus lift as well. I moved out-​of-​state and went to three oral surgeons for consultations on a recent unexpected condition that required removal of 8 teeth. I was devastated. The teeth were lost due to dry mouth, and no surgeon I saw in the Boston area would touch the job. I ended up going back to California and my very talented prosthedondist and Dr. Pavel coordinated the extractions and 6 immediate implants. Within days my prosthedontist was able to install a fixed temporary bridge which looks like natural teeth and functions well, too. The implants will be ready for final crowns in another few months. Dr. Pavel is THE BEST! I don’t know what to say about the experience of the other reviewer, because I’ve always known the doctor to be extremely professional, masterful as a surgeon, and his staff has always been clear and helpful with the cost of procedures. Many of the oral procedures done in this office are not covered by insurance, because dental insurance is woefully lacking. Companies would rather a person get a poorly fitting partial plate for a few hundred dollars and allow their gum and bone to shrink away. This causes poor chewing, hence poor nutrition. Also, the shrinkage of gum and bone can change the shape and appearance of the jaw and face. I highly recommend Dr. Pavel to anyone who is looking to obtain the highest quality oral surgery available.
