Parker Tree Service

Cannot review work as it was never provided. Called 2 weeks ago and asked for an estimate to trim my tree. As of this writing, no estimate done. Either: a) the business is going so well Parker Tree doesn't need new business or b) they are so disorganized they cannot even provide an estimate quote. Either way, don't bother because they can't be bothered with you.

Five stars because he responded and completed the job. Apparently there was a misunderstanding on the scope of the job.

A neighbor’s 30′ tall dead pine tree fell on my property recently. It’s essentially a dry rotted Christmas tree and it’s a huge fire hazard. The neighbors insist on using Parker tree. He allegedly came to inspect the tree and determined that it was not a hazard. This despite the fact that the neighbors have an exposed hot water heater within feet of the dead tree. So Parker decides to schedule the removal 18 days after the tree fell!
When we called him, he never returned our first call, finally called back after we complained about customer service. Basically told us to pound sand and that he was too busy to put a rush on things. Said that all tree trimmers were busy after storm and appts running 3 – 4 weeks. I found three guys who could do it same day but a-​hole neighbors refuse to do it. They say it’s Parker or nothing. They have about five other dead trees about to fall over so I don’t think he’s been out there much or often.
I would not trust or recommend this guy to anyone and am skeptical to even let him on my property after his determination that my family is not in danger. Temps have been in the 90’s this past week and Fire Marshall has been called to inspect. This guy is a tool!

Parker Tree Services just completed a job at my home this week. I have used them in the past and have been a very happy customer. Met with Peter several weeks ago to review the job and received a competitive price. The work was done as scheduled and his crew did a fantastic clean up job. Even my wife was very complimentary of the overall work and clean up! A job well done once again!

Parker Tree Service has been taking care of the three large olive trees in our front yard since they were planted 8 years ago. They came out this past week and thinned and shaped the trees, and they look beautiful again. The yard was completely clean of leaves and trimmings when they finished. This company is extremely professional, and we will always be loyal customers.

Parker Tree Service recently completed tree trimming service on our property. We had two large trees laced and a large area of tall trees trimmed on our property line. Their pricing is competitive, they scheduled an appointment with me at the time of the estimate, the crew was on time and did a fantastic job. The only way I knew they had been on my property is that the trees looked great! There was no mess and they did beautiful work! I will call them again for our next round of trimming!

After reading the review. I found that he may do a great job. I got a quote a month ago, he said he would be out in two weeks. No show not even a call, that’s not how you win over customers.

I can’t get a return phone call from this company. Horrible customer service.

Just had them come out and remove 4 big trees, a big long hedge in my back yard and lace a big tree in the front. Peter came out to do the quote before I made my decision, I was surprised that the quote was better than the others I had gotten. Peter was very helpful, professional and responsive to my projects needs. The crew and Peter showed up on time, got the job done in the time that they said it would take and due to the stump grinding on one of the trees, when they hit one of my sprinklers, which I was warned could happen and they couldn’t fix it that day, they came back the next day and fixed it. For finding them in the HomeMag publication, with out any recommendations, I was pretty pleased at this find, I will definitely use them for any future tree needs.

I felt this company is very unprofessional based on the fact below. And you can see this is my very first review on Unilocal… So how upset I am (and how tolerable I am as a customer) you be the judge.

I had Mr. Parker stopped by to give an estimation on some tree trimming earlier this year. and I started to call his office to schedule a time to do the work. How many times I called? Maybe more than 5 times! I bet the operator lady would get tired of me already! He never give me a call back. Not even once! If he felt my job is too small for his busy money-​making schedule, fine. Just let me know. Everybody has the right not to serve someone. But every time I called, the answer was the same: he will call you back. Do not waste my time! This is not where you figure out «he is not that into you», This is doing business! Even Peter Griffin would be polite enough to take out a sign of «Closed» when he was working at DMV!
I would single-​handedly gave a 1-​star based on the unprofessionalism and wasting my time. I was trying to state only the facts, so even that Peter Griffin part is real, I mean, real on TV…

I was very pleased with the recent work of Peter Parker and his team. They did a complete job of trimming my two dozen palms in my yard efficiently and they cleaned up and hauled all of the trimmings. They are bonded and responsible. They came highly recommended by a neighbor. I suggest you at least give them an opportunity to bid on your business.

Pete’s tree knowledge is encyclopaedic! And his professionals do first rate work. I was having real issues with huge invasive roots in my side yard after planting the wrong trees on my own. Pete advised much better alternatives — beautiful, drought tolerant and non-​invasive. Then took out the old, rested the soil, and planted the new. We couldn’t be happier with the results.

Been using these guys for 8 – 10 years. Here’s the most amazing part — after they have been here and done the work other than the trees being trimmed you can’t tell they have been here! Super cleanup in addition to excellent work. Highly recommend.

I really hate to give Parker Tree Service a poor review because I’ve used them in the past and was happy with their service. But that was a few years ago and now I can’t even get a quote. After coming to my house, Parker said that he’d email me a quote. I’ve already called or emailed 3 times, but it been over 2 weeks and still no estimate.

Parker Tree did the service on two large trees on our property. Five stars because when we weren’t happy (not enough trimming), Peter sent his crew right back out the next day to make it right.
Scheduling was a little tricky — the whole answering service is a little annoying only because sometimes you have to wait a day or two for a call back. And then when we decided to do the job, it had to be scheduled two weeks out. But hey, I guess that’s a sign of a popular business.
All in all, the final work was great and the price was competitive. We will use Parker again.

We had Parker Tree Service remove three trees from our front yard as part of a landscaping project that we are about to begin. Pete Parker had given us a VERY good quote as compared to anyone else, partly because his crew would be working at our next door neighbor’s house on the same day.
The crew (6 guys) arrived right on time and began without delay. Carlos was the crew chief. All of the guys were exceptionally professional and nice to have around. Trees started coming down quickly and run through the chipper; the larger pieces of trunk were picked up and put in the truck. They ground all stumps down 6−8″ below the surface and completely cleaned up each area.
The crew was quite careful and managed to avoid some sprinkler lines near the stumps.
We would recommend them to anyone needing any sort of tree trimming or removal. Fantastic experience and great price!

Great personal attention to my requests on how I wanted my trees pruned. Carlos did an excellent job pruning my trees. Good communication, fare price, knowledgeable and friendly. I have recommended them to friends and will use them again.

I received a coupon for Parker and needed quick tree service.
I gave them a call and they were immediately able to help me the next day. They came out and removed a huge tree from my yard. It was a coral tree with 4 large trunk sections. The base of the tree was at least 15 feet in diameter.
I left in the morning and when I returned, there was just a stump — which I had not paid to have removed. The yard was cleaned up. No bits or pieces were left behind.
The price was reasonable. Their service was great. It was nice to deal with a professional in an industry not known for always being professional.

Sorry, have to down vote this guy. Left two messages (with the live answering service) and no call back. May be a great guy — but if you can’t even get him on the phone…
EDIT: I actually got an email from a Unilocaler saying don’t rate 1 star if he won’t respond — he could be sick, or on vacation, or busy…
Allow me to address those concerns:
1) The original 4.5 star rating that caused me to call this service twice several days apart is misleading if the business does not return calls. High ratings should be reserved for businesses that provide a positive experience for the willing and reasonable consumer. I ended up wasting my time.
2) If the proprietor is sick, on vacation, etc he has a live answering service that could have been given a new script. Just like us working schmoes who need to call the boss when we’re ill or out on vacation, the owner needs to update the answering service.
3) If I am totally off base, and this review is the exception, then I expect my review to soon be drowned out by Unilocalers joyously rating him 5 stars, 6 if they could, because they had a job well done. I really feel that a non-​response (after a couple tries — just in case they missed the first call) is enough to rate a business.
