Papa John’s Pizza

Ordered 2 times the same week. Both times was a disappointment. The bread tasted like it was old. Barely any cheese. Toppings were hard and dry. Manager was really nice but they need to step up and make better pizzas! I used to love papa johns but now I rather order Pizza Hut or dominoes.

From the location to my office is only 7 mins away. I placed the order at 11:28 and the driver left the location at 11:50 and arrived at the office parking lot at 12:20! From 7 min drive it took him 30 mins!!! And plus the driver was in the parking lot for 5 mins and came with a cold ass pizza!!! Who wants a cold pizza!!! now I’m starving at work. Worst delivery EVER!!!

Pizza was typical Papa Johns, but the service was outstanding. Pizzas were delivered on time and I chowed down, only to have another driver show up 20 minutes later with another pizza. Apparently one of the ingredients on the original order was wrong and they noticed it before I did, sent someone out, and delivered the correct one! Best pizza place I’ve ordered from in a long time.

I have eating Papa John’s pizza before but I usually have it delivered. My husband decided he wanted to do a takeout order. This location is smaller than I expected, they do deliveries, takeouts, and pick up orders.
The counter area was neat and clean and you could actually see the crew members making the pizzas behind the front counter. Dough being shaped, toppings of your choice being added and then baked to perfection. There were pizza boxes of all sizes stacked and waiting for a pizza as the crew prepared them.
They offer several types of pizza: Specialty pizzas ranging from $ 12.99 to $ 22.99 (10 inch –16 inch). BBQ Chicken and Bacon, Spinach Alfredo, The Works, Spicy Italian, Tuscan Six Cheese, Garden Fresh and one other called The Meats. They generally offer a special «Featured Item» right now it is the Garlic Knots for $ 5 and a Two Topping Pizza for $ 10. You can of course create your own pizza: choose your crust (10 inch $ 8.00, 12 inch $ 11.00, 14 inch $ 14.00 or 16 inch $ 17.00), choose your toppings ($ 1.75 extra per topping) and choose your signature extras (.25 to .50 per item). Finally, there are the sides and beverages: Cheese sticks, Chicken Poppers, Wings, Breadsticks, Chocolate Chip Cookies, 20 oz and 2 liter drinks.
My husband created his own one topping pizza. It took about 20 minutes or so to prepare.
The flavor of the pizza was okay but the crust was doughy. If it had cooked just a bit longer it would have been crusty and more enjoyable.

Love this pizzaaaaa! Always receive great customer service, if you don’t want to wait than just call in your order and be smart.

First time ive ever tried papa John’s pizza, it was tasteless no cheese on my xl pizza honestly I wanted a pizza for the cheese and it was scarce. I got pissed off because I feel that I got robbed for $ 16. I should have stuck with What I know is good. .pizza hut. Never going to any papa johns again. What’s Worst is that I ordered it with two toppings and they barely put that lmao like seriously wth did I buy, bread? Cashier was nice.

Very nice! Great customer service. Deliver to Lemon Grove so you don’t have to deal with the terrible customer service of the one in LG.

Not sure exactly why this place has to have such greasy pizza with everyone on a health kick in San Diego. We ordered a pizza not long ago. The pizza came with in a timely manner and the delivery person was nice. Papa Johns just is not what it used to be. The only thing consistent here is the garlic dip. I wonder if there was a way to order them healthier. I realize the cheese can make a mess with its oil but that is not where the grease comes from. Just sad. :-(

We order from here faithfully and every time it’s been oh so good. I ordered a small pep and jalapeño with BBQ wings and a 2-​liter Pepsi. Every time we order it’s always correct and they always come FAST. The pizza was hot and fresh and I practically burned my tongue tearing into this pizza. It is sooo good. The delivery girl was bright and friendly. My only issue was the wings. They were a little rubbery and had quite a bit of fat but still pretty good considering it’s a pizza place and not BWW or Wingstop. I’ll be ordering from this PJs again next time I get a craving for pizza but I’ll probably skip the wings

Took over an hour to deliver… Pizza was warm, not hot. But looked great and tasted good.

We’ve ordered pizza from here before and they do a good job making pizza in the hood. The two other times we’ve had it, we had it delivered. The two female drivers were prompt and very nice. We just picked up or pizza (carried out for once). The guy with the ‘LA’ tattoo on his neck was quite rude and dry. I’ll continue to get pizza delivered from this location.
