Same thing different week. 2 booths not available because no one busses them until asked. When asked, they just wipe the food into the floor. After he wiped the table the bus boy says, «sorry it’s wet». I say, «can you find me a towel so I can dry it myself». He says«I can do it but I’ll have to use paper towels». Seriously? I stand there and wait as he strolls over to the paper towels, strolls back with no sense of a need to hurry. Did I mention I am holding 2 drinks and a plate?

Most filthy and disgusting experience ever! Tables abandoned with dirty plates unattended for way too long. There is no leadership here whatsoever– if you ask them to please clear the table they sneer!!! What is wrong with these entitled overworked grouchy people? Ugh. Overpriced and mediocre food to boot. $ 26 down the drain. Stay away!

I’ve been to this Panera several times. Unfortunately, this location tends to run out of items quickly. You’d think they’d order more of the items they run out of from then on, so they don’t have this problem again. I’ve avoided this location many times because of this, but recently gave them another try. If it were not for Jorge, I’d be giving them 2 stars! His customer service makes that much of a difference to this location.

I have always been a fan of Panera Bread. I think it is a great lunch or dinner option if you need something quick and light. This was my first time visiting this location and I was really impressed with it. The restaurant itself is very large, clean and inviting, while the parking lot is not at all crowded and provides plenty of spaces. I opted for the soup and salad combo which also includes a french baguette. I knew I wanted the Cesar salad, but I hadn’t quite picked out a soup yet. I noticed they had an Autumn Squash soup and asked the cashier if it was similar to a Butternut Squash Soup as I really like that flavor. She claimed that it was, which unfortunately was not the case. The Autumn Squash soup is VERY sweet and I did not like it at all. I threw out the entire bowl after a few bites, so that was disappointing. My salad was good though and I am not thrown off by Panera or anything. I’ll stick with what I know next time!

So I came here around 3:30pm today and as usual the customer service was great! I then ordered my food and my usual latte for myself. However when the food arrived it was wrong, here are the numbered mistakes: 1) In my food I asked for a parfait, It was never put int he system 2) I told them that I want my latte on a mug and I wanted almond milk and no whip(highly sensitive lactose tolerant where I will VOMIT If I consumed dairy) and even told them ¨…no whip because I am lactose¨. When the drink arrived I got it on a TOGO cup and with whip! I told them about it and they kindly told me they were going to replace it. Before I found out there was whip cream though, i told my mom to just get me a for here mug. I was sitting right next to where they get the food(there is a wall in between) and I heard my mom say to the person(section where the foods arrived) if she could get a ¨FORHERE glass cup for something hot¨ … and guess what they gave her… a plastic to go cup, the one that you get when you order fountain drink… what??? Are we not speaking English here??? That was when I saw the whip cream inside my cup and wanted to have my pumpkin spice latte remade. I was forgiving and I told myself people make mistake. I reorder more food because my cousins were still hungry. And then the food arrived… –I order extra 3 pieces of RYEBREAD and even had the order repeated saying there was 3RYEBREAD(The cashier even held out 3 of his fingers while he repeated it). The food arrived with 2RYEBREAD and when I looked at the receipt they only charged me with 2 rye bread! What is happening here? –As if the bread was not pissing me off already, my remade drink finally arrived. I thought it would calm me, but it was WAY worse. I got it in the mug(that´s good) but the taste was horrendous. It was the sweetest latte I have ever tasted in my LIFE, I did not even ask for a remake because they made so many mistakes already that I just wanted to finish my food and leave and nor did I drink it. *p.s They do not have black bean soup here(mira mesa has it) What was so disturbing was that it was not ONE person who made the mistake but if you carefully read this review, it was FOUR people who made the mistake, not ONE(which is usually forgiving) but FOUR!(Cashier, barista, 2nd barista, pick up food person) I love panera bread and I would still continue to come here but only at mira mesa where I usually go to 2 times a week after school with my mom, and they never once made a mistake in my order. Two stars for the customer service but actions speak louder than words. Thank you and good bye Carmel mountain, but you really ruined my day.

I couldn’t repress my desire to revisit my childhood any longer. After eating at so many different restaurants, from high end to hole in the wall, I started craving Panera again. Oh those times of ordering the sourdough bread bowl to the frontega chicken panini after high school tennis matches or track and field events — those times are all part of my childhood. Everything was expected. All their soups are delicious and comforting — even the garden vegetable one. However, my favorite is the broccoli cheddar soup with a half of the mediterranean sandwich. The soup is creamy, chunky, and very satisfying. The sandwich, on the other hand, wasn’t how I remembered it. Although it was decent, it was missing some kind of sweet salsa or tapenade and the bread was way too thick. We also discovered a wide variance in food execution from Panera to Panera. My mom ordered a flatbread, she told me that unlike this one here, the one in 4S Ranch stuffed it with fresh leafy greens. The one here seemed on the skinnier side and only sprinkled with slim pieces of chicken. I would come back anytime for the soups but not sure for the sandwiches again.

I come here about once a month and customer service is always hot and miss. The sandwiches and soups/sides are always good but inconsistent service costs you two stars. On going training for your employees would go a long way

Place is always dirty and slow. Every Panera we go to is dirty. Food is decent. We needed to eat something quick. Does the job.

Tried to make a phone order yesterday. First of all, the woman who answered was very rude — seemed cranky and not happy at all. I simply called to see if they had salads. Never ordered from there before… Wanted to get some food on my break so I decided I wanted a salad from Panera. Firstly, the woman who answered said, «Panera bread. This is Pam» No, how may I help you? Or, what can I do for you? Okay Pam. Next, I asked if they had salads, given I’ve never ordered or been there before. She answered, «Uh… Yeah? We have a lot. What do you want» OK… Not helpful at all. At that point I hung up. Didn’t want to deal with such a rude«employee» from what I thought. Called back, same way she answered the phone. «Panera Bread. This is Pam» So I asked to speak to her manager. She said, «this is she». If you are MANAGER how dare you treat your customers with such a rude manner. Not only was she not helpful, she was rude. Not informative whatsoever. How are you going to work in a food service and not give excellent customer service given that you are a manager. Sorry you work at Panera… But lighten up. Treat your customers right.

Good location. Clean. Was able to enjoy a few delicious cups of hazelnut coffee and just enjoy a nice morning on my day off. I am a fan of Panera because they provide refills on coffee and that is a very good thing!

Went here with my husband over the weekend for a quick breakfast. Every time we go we always get cold coffee. It is NEVER hot and fresh. Tables were dirty. And I found a bug cruising by on the dirty wall while we were trying to eat. Also way too expensive. Probably the last time i’ll eat there. Should have just gone to Starbucks.

Really close to a location of Fit Athletic Club where I work out so super points for connivence in the AM when I need an egg sammie full of protein stat after a serious cardio sesh. I’ve been to Panera’s that are exceptional on Customer Service and the general happiness vibe(Solana Beach) and this one is just A-ok. The coffee station is well stocked and if you ask they’ll give you soy milk from behind the counter first. My orders are processed pretty quick too. Parking in the AM is okay before all the stores in this shopping mall open, but once 10AM hits it can be a bit crowded.

My daughter and I ordered one of the new item from the you pick two. I got the soba noodle chicken and half sandwich and my daughter had soba noodle chicken as well and steak salad. For $ 2 more, you get a full bowl with half sandwich or salad and apple, chips or baguette as sides. We were surprised that the soba noodle chicken to be so fresh and deliciously fusioned. We will definitely be back for more… I hope that they put this permanently as part of the menu. :*)

I’ve recently discovered this Panera in carmel mountain. AMBIANCE: Much bigger than any other I’ve been to. Abundant seating indoor and out. I enjoy studying at Panera more compared to Starbucks. Panera in general is nicely lit with background music that isn’t too loud and you don’t hear blenders going off once in a while(less distractions). Outlet availability is limited at this Panera, compared to Mira Mesa. SERVICE: Is great, similar to the Mira Mesa Panera. Staff is very friendly and personable, they don’t mind people studying here. You order and in just a few minutes your order arrives to your table! FOOD: Food is about the same at all Panera’s. Bland, healthy and overpriced(small portions for what you pay for). You get unlimited refills if you get a regular drink. I like the iced green tea! And don’t forget to sign up for a MyPanera card(free pastry after sign up and more goodies the more often you visit).

Service is much better here, especially today since it was rainy and jam packed, the workers stepped it up for sure. But it’s still 3 stars because the food was extra salty. Everything just seem loaded with tons of salt, from the soup to the pasta. Like I said previously, not one of the best Paneras but it’s fine in a pinch.

One thing I can count on Panera Bread is providing some good coffee and some pretty good scones as well. I stopped in this location to get some work down and the the forementioned. I had their light brew which was pretty good. It was definitely light, but it had good flavor. For my scone, I had the brown sugar and orange scone with a nice orange icing( ). The flavor of the scone was very good with a hint of orange, which surprised me because I thought the orange flavor would be more intense. Its texture was moist and crumbly with small airy pockets( ). Service was good, but a little rushed at the register, but than again, they did have quite line when I was ordering. The place is a large location and they have plenty of seating on their outside patio as well.

Came here yesterday for lunch with my gf at around noon and it was almost a full house. Luckily there was no line at the register and we placed our order fairly quickly. No complaints about the service, cashier was nice and the lady who brought out our food was nice. Our Frontega chicken panini was delicious. The bread toasted to a crisp but still soft, cheese melted over the chicken, and the tomatoes and onions were fresh. The serving was a good size as well, and with the bag of chips, I wouldn’t mind paying 7 and some change for this meal again. The inside was pretty clean, floors swept and tables wiped down quickly. I saw some people with laptops on the table so there’s probably free WiFi here, but probably limited amount of outlets. Overall, wouldn’t mind having lunch here again.

I don’t get what the big deal about this place is. I’ve had food from here once. I didn’t even actually eat here as it was brought in. I had a turkey sandwich. Pretty simple. But why oh why was there not one but two gigantic pieces of romaine lettuce on my sandwich? These things were like the size of the damn pickle. I’d imagine this would be like eating a serving of playset plastic food. Do people really eat sandwiches with these giant romaine stocks in them? Absolutely disgusting. The sandwich itself was okay when I took the lettuce off. I mean, it’s a turkey sandwich. But I really don’t get what people love about this place. Looking at the sandwiches on Panera Bread’s website it’s pretty obvious that they’re using a regular head of lettuce for their pictures, as I’m sure if a giant chunk of romaine was included their portraits wouldn’t look as nice. That, or this location ran out of the good lettuce and thought this would be an acceptable replacement. Yeah…no.

I haven’t been at this location for a while and today I remembered the reason why: place is overcrowded and under staffed. The archifamous broccoli-cheddar soup(one of the stars on their menu) arrives cold to the table. This happens every single time… Today the day was gray and was asking for warm soup… not the place to get it. Even the pasta of my friend arrived cold to the table. I remember long ago those days of excitement going to Panera bread to get the deal of soup+half sandwich. Well, quality has gotten worse and the paninis are so small and they don’t look like nicely crafted. The bread still is very good. But, what is with that bad smell when you open Panera Bread restaurant(not only this one, but noticing everywhere) these days? Reminds me the smell of Subway or Submarina… not nice. Also, the combo meal is not that great of a deal. Will think twice again or just go for bread!
