Gung Hay Fat Choy! It was the beginning of Lunar New Year, and Panda Express had sent me a coupon for a free chicken egg roll. Since I hadn’t Unilocaled about this location, I figured I’d grace them with my presence yesterday after work(and get a little something extra to eat, seeing how my lunch was less than satisfying). Every time I’ve been to the food court at Westfield UTC, I’ve been impressed with how nice this Panda Express kiosk looks. The staff are friendly enough, and they even offered me a free sample of any of the main entrees; I chose a bite of the Honey Walnut Shrimp — it’s a premium item, but it tastes oh so good! Anyway, even though the coupon for the egg roll said no purchase necessary, my stomach was rumbling a bit, so I got a 1-item bowl of chow mein and a fresh batch of chicken and green beans.(Most of the stuff on the steam table was empty, and I had gotten the last chicken egg roll; I hope they were able to get the chefs going before dinner service started.) While my order was delicious and fresh, I kinda wished they’d trimmed the ends off the green beans… and that the cashier had offered me the chance to buy a drink before ringing me up. Still, a solid if not spectacular option in the Westfield UTC food court.

On the afternoon of 11/24/2015 I placed an order for my work associates for a group order with the total cost of $ 77.22. I was charged for $ 290.00 from my debit card using the online ordering service through the Panda Express website. The food was supposed to be ready at 10:15am 11/25/2015. Upon my arrival(10:15am) I was highly disappointed to hear that the employees had no record of our order entered the night prior, even though I received a receipt and order confirmation number(48740; which I had all copies in hand during visit) my debit card charged 3 ½ times the original total amount. To further my frustration, the manager and employee began to become defensive and stated that the order was not placed correctly, even though my debit card was charged AND I had an order confirmation number which I presented to them. Their attitudes at this time became increasingly unprofessional; the manager then left the store without addressing us that he was going to leave and left the associate to further assist us. The associate was very unprofessional in the way she talked to us and kept saying this isn’t her fault and that WE placed the order wrong. We would have been much happier if the employee apologized for the inconvenience and then helped us. Instead she persisted that we needed to put the order in correctly. In addition to our order not being readily available. We had to wait an additional 50 minutes to wait for food to be prepared because they didn’t have enough food to serve our group order that we ordered in advanced. Also, brown rice shows to be on the menu but the associate persisted that brown rice is not available rudely and then stated we had to choose something else because it could not be made. Due to this unprofessional experience my company and I feel as if we can no longer do business with Panda Express. This group order was made to serve our managers, and the fact that we were 1 hour late to serving the food was a huge embarrassment not only on my behalf but on Panda Express as well. Rude service.

Panda is the greatest, not sure why there are so many haters. Let’s be clear — this is not real Chinese food but they have the best orange chicken in town and it’s always consistent. Huge win. Bonus points for the Shanghai Angus Steak.

I was craving greasy Chinese food bad! There was no one else waiting in the line, so the portions were huge! Got the 2 entrees and 1 side: rice, string bean chicken, and tofu and eggplant. The green beans didn’t taste that great and were pretty hard. The tofu was delicious and spicy! I couldn’t eat the skin of the eggplant though. Rice was meh. Also ordered the cheese rangoons — my favorite! They were decent. Giving this place 4 stars instead of 3, because our portions were huge and the staff was nice.

I admit that I’m *that* Asian girl that turns her nose up to PF Changs. PF Changs just cannot appeal to a true Asian. That’s what I’d say because, well, I actually don’t like PF Changs. Second admission is that I *used* to say the same thing about Panda Express BUT I’d secretly crave their sweet, overly breaded, bright neon orange chicken. Like, BAD. And, let’s go for total confession, I think their black pepper chicken and mushroom chicken ain’t half bad either. The trick to ANY Panda Express is to look for items that just got put in the glass counter for you to choose from. Do NOT pick anything that obviously looks like it’s been sitting there for over 20 minutes. This location is alright. It gets massive busy during peak lunch hours but the line moves quickly. Kudos to them for offering veggies(instead of rice or noodles) for low carb peeps out there. I’m sad to say that I come here alone sometimes, get a 3 item combo for about $ 9 bucks, watch people ice skate or play hockey, and not think I have no life whatsoever.

NEVERORDERFROMHERE!!! I order for large groups at work all the time and decided to give Panda Express a try. I placed the order with the store manager and the order came out to $ 1000 for 110 people which I was excited about as it was $ 200 cheaper than what I am used to spending at other restaurants. The order was to be delivered at 11:30am. At 11:40 the driver shows up unloads a bag of fortune cookies, five trays of food(I ordered 37) and a stack of plates and walks out of the door saying I will go grab the rest. I was thinking he was going to go to his car to grab the rest but he hops in and takes off. I call the restaurant as I have 110 people sitting in a room waiting for an 11:30 lunch and it is now 11:50 and the person on the phone said they didn’t know when the driver would be back as he had left the rest of the order at the restaurant and they were busy with the lunch rush so they couldn’t send another driver with the remainder of my order… Finally I get ahold of the corporate office and they tell me they will call the manager and to give them another 15 minutes. Fast forward to 12:45 — An hour and 15 minutes later and I have $ 1000 worth of cold orange chicken, soggy egg rolls, burnt chow mein and the only explanation I get is they were busy…

Nothing special from this Panda Express. It’s exactly what you would expect. Definitely not my favorite place to eat in the mall, but it does the trick when I want to mix it up during lunch.

Good for low carb eating because you can have veggies at a side. Not a lot of people buy the eggplant tofu I guess so you have to wait for them to make it, which mean it is fresh. I don’t mind waiting most of the time. The portion size is kind of small but I guess it’s good if you are on a diet and watch your portion. I do get full after the meal surprisingly. I try the steak which is good and tender but you have to add $ 1.25. I like the eggplant tofu so I guess I will come back for that.

As the past reviews I will have to agree that the portions are really small, also i had the walnut shrimp and it’s the worst of all the Panda’s I’ve ever been to.

Foods good, but portion sizes are ridiculous. This one serves less portions compared to every Panda Express I’ve been to and it makes me sad because I love their food. Better customer service is needed here too! The same worker I see every time I’m here(I work at the mall, so I see her often) always looks like she doesn’t want to work and gives no friendly presence behind the counter whatsoever. There’s never a line when I order from here, but she acts like she’s in a rush. Someone needs to sprinkle some happy dust on their workers.

Mostly yucky food.)-; Skip Panda Express in the UTC food court. I tasted 4 entrees as there were 2 of us, lunch for 1 adult and 1 child. Only the Kung pao chicken was actually edible. The chow mein noodles have a poor texture. The shanghai angus steak looks good but tasted sour. Not sure how they ruined it. The broccoli beef tastes gross, but it was my little granddaughter’s choice because she recognized the broccoli. She wouldn’t eat it. I tasted it and I had to spit my bite of broccoli beef out! Yes I know I’m gross, but Unilocalers don’t want to eat gross food, nor do we want to risk getting sick from iffy food. With such a variety of places to try in the UTC food court, there’s no reason to eat such disappointing food at Panda Express. Some of the other food vendors were even giving out free samples!

Received horrible service today! This location is cutting back on their portions sizes! Asked for orange chicken, the lady gave me like 4 pieces of orange chicken! When I asked for a little bit more the lady said I had to pay extra! Y’all a multimillion/billion dollar company, what’s a couple more chicken gonna do? Ugh, so ridiculous!

Fresh, flavorful, and good portions. Beats every other Asian option at the mall. Service is fast, efficient and friendly. Couldn’t ask for more in a mall food option! I also like that Panda gives back and recently donated over $ 100k to Haiti relief.

Good location, tons of options. The food was really fresh when I went(you really have to go during busy times). They were sampling the new chicken entrée — it was pretty good. Can’t go wrong with Panda. mmmmmm

We the family stopped in here to get the boy a kids meal after a day of shopping. The food was nicely displayed, service was great, selection was great, clean, and a good value! The portion was generous. The kid was happy and I ate his leftovers. The fried rice was made with brown rice(healthy, and the kid didn’t even notice). The kids meal included two hot choices, a cookie, and a drink for under $ 5. Not bad. There was plenty of clean places to eat in the food court, and the family was happy!

06/21/2013 — lunch I didn’t know Panda Expresses could be any different. SO. GROSS. The only reason I’m writing this review is because this food was horrid, even for Panda. I eat at other Panda Expreses and I have never encountered a place that has soft lackluster orange chicken, over salted mushroom chicken and almost rancid chow mein… Its amazingly bad. I’m still astounded.

Ok, so we were desperate and wanted something FAST… Andy decided on the kid’s meal($ 4.50) and I opted for a side of small chow mein($ 3). The employees are super friendly here and offered samples — COOL! Andy later got upset with me because he could have gotten more bang for his buck if he went to Noodles ‘N More for the amount he paid for a kid’s meal… O well…(tee hee)

Not a big Panda Express fan and if not for wanting cheap soup, I would never had ventured the line and gotten food from this fast food misnomer. Although there is always a quick service, there is always a line to P.E., why I never know. I knew they had 2 choices of soup, hot n sour and egg flower soup(really its just egg drop). Since that will not be filling, I also ordered a single item — Beijing Beef and white rice. As I was looking at the other dishes that were available, I can sincerely say that most others probably taste and look the same. One might have some pepper on it but in the end under the heat lamp, it becomes all just sweet or spicy substance. For all of these including a small drink(cheaper than water), it cost almost 10 bucks. I know that in other circumstances, it might seem like a bargain. However, consider this, at least 3 of the 4 items were meh. The soup was bland but hot and that was its only saving grace. I guess for those who don’t appreciate real chinese food, Panda Express is the best they will ever have. I have had Chicken Feet at Dim Sum and that looked and tasted more appetizing than what I got from P.E. BLAND! BLAND! BLAND! Leason learned and remembered!
