I wouldn’t even waste my time going here if I were you. Just came back from here after trying to sell my Harmon Kardon Black Onyx studio speaker that is in good condition and wireless. They told me they could only give me 15 bucks for it and «stretched» it for 20 bucks saying that this was how much it was going for and that it was because they had two more newer versions. Yes, there are two more newer versions but looking online, this speaker was going for way more than a measly 15 bucks. The man then proceeded to tell me maybe I could make 50 from a private buyer and tried to get me to make my decision quick because they were closing in 10 minutes. The two men (don’t know their names) weren’t all that nice and definitely were trying to snake me out of my money. I don’t recommend selling here, you can do MUCH better.

My Husband and I were recently on vacation in San Diego and we happened to stroll by Palace. Had a very cool old look to it– and we’re no strangers to pawn shops, flea markets, and antique malls, so we strolled right in. A very nice older gentleman encouraged us to browse, made us feel very comfortable. Nice mix of instruments, collectibles, and some beautiful jewelry. Pricing is reasonable. I fell in love with a gold pendant, couldn’t justify buying on our trip. However, when we got back it stuck with me– so I fired off a quick e-​mail to their website. Chrissy– from the shop replied right away with picture, shipping option, etc. Very professional. My item shipped with no issues and I will be one happy girl when I get that at Christmas. This place is fair and interested in making a deal with you! Check it out– just don’t wait to buy if something catches your eye!

Sarah is a really sweet person. She let me try ALL the rings that caught my eye until I fell in love with one. She gave us a deal when I decided on my band and engagement ring.

I am not familiar with pawnshops. I won’t pawn anything, so I never saw a use for them, until these last three days! Who knew it would be such a great place to shop!
The folks there were super friendly, and the deals I got were awesome! A 1956 Olympia SM3 typewriter for the ‘writer’ and collector in me, a brand new belt sheathed Schrade Tough multi-​tool set, and even DVDs (4 DVD = $ 10)… If you shop, and you like deals (Christmas is coming!), try shopping here for some GREAT deals!

The owner is a jerk. Doesn’t care about your stuff. You have jewelery? Go to a jewelery place. Go to Freedom Guitar when selling your guitar. This place is awful. Even one of the employees was telling us «man if I was the owner I’d give you more $$ for your stuff. sorry about that» and he was saying he doesn’t care about what the people think of him and his shop. That he doesn’t care about what we think, the customer. Go somewhere else. Don’t go to Cshco or this place. Trust me.

Not what I expected from a pawn shop at all, the staff here were all very friendly and helpful I forgot I was in a place where people go when their vices outweigh their ability to pay for them. You other pawnbrokers better pay attention. I think the next episode of Pawn Stars needs to come to San Diego.

I love love love this place! The owner is the most down to earth and kindhearted man that I’ve met in a pawnshop. All of the workers are more than willing to help you with any piece you want to see. Sarah is especially wonderful. She treats you with respect but talks to you like a friend, suggesting things that look good and that are good prices. The shop is clean and bright. They have a huge selection of jewelry and musical instruments. They are amazing with payment plans, also. I currently have a diamond ring that my girlfriend is paying off and they are so flexible with payment. I definitely suggest going to this place for any of your jewelry needs, they won’t let you down!

THE TRUTH!
I was robbed back in 2010. The thief was a major junkie that Palace Pawn Brokers have been buying from for years. Well that junkie sold them a plasma TV and surround sound system… all of which were stolen from me!
I talked to the manager and showed him evidence that all of this belongs to me and not the strung out junkie he purchased them from. Not only did he not care but also belittled me and talked to me like dirt.
Next visit, I showed up and called the police. As I waited outside, the manager sent one of his female workers outside to tell me «I’m so little priority that the police won’t even show up.» Nice way to insult our San Diego Police Department!
Well she was wrong because not only did they show up BUT they got my belongings out of the Manager’s greedy, heartless hands!
When I showed up to get my belongings back, he was still very belittling but this time threatening as well.
If you support these people, you are just as filthy!

They have a huge selection on jewelry, video games, electronics, movies.
Palace Pawnbrokers lets you test out the electronics and fiddle with the instruments prior to purchase.
If you want something in particular, they encourage you to call them every so often to find out if they have it.

We bought a nice specialty bike off Craigslist from them for a somewhat expensive but reasonable price. They were friendly and we’d definitely buy from them again.

Nice place to shop and is packed full of good stuff. I didn’t pawn anything buy if/​when I do, I’ll come here.

Great local shop, stopped in to check out the guitars (my latest hobby) Sarah was so helpful while pointing me in the right direction! Definitely worth stopping by again!

Walking around downtown i encountered a few pawn shops none of them caught my eye like this one. they have a huge selection of jewelry, electronics, and most of all a friendly staff that was knowledgeable about the area and there inventory. I will for sure return! Thanks again to the staff!

My friend and I had just finished having a late lunch at Ra. We were on our way to get dessert when we noticed this pawn shop. My friend and I were like «I’ve never been in a pawn shop before.» To give you a tiny history, my friend and I have this thing of recognizing «firsts» that we’ve done together ie 1^st time getting an annual pass to Disneyland, first time drinking together, 1^st time GOING TO A PAWN SHOP. So that’s what we did, we both went to our very first pawn shop together in wonderful SD!
The people were really friendly saying hi to us and asking if we wanted to see anything in particular. I looked around and they have such a variety of things for sale old and new! They have a small collection of past decade DVDs, guitars, violins, 5 cases of jewelries. I was surprised that they were seeling iPod nanos! I mean, it was the most advanced technological thing in the whole store (and that’s okay, just saying). You would think there would be older things, but NO, don’t be fooled by this store, they have things!
It was hilarious because my friend had every intention of finding a Disney DVD cause they were selling them. However, no luck due to finding out that Disney DVDs were a very hot commodity at Palace Jewelry. Worker said it’s one of the first to go usually. I know now, if I don’t feel like doing the Ebay thing, I have another place to go to!
