I stopped by the bar while in the area on business. The bartender(Jennifer? blonde?) waited on me promptly and I tried one of their specialty cocktails. It was so good that I tried another. I will be coming back!

Great food and great service! I always enjoy coming here after a long hard day at work for a refreshing cocktail. There is one very friendly bubbly blonde bartender that stands out to me. Jennifer S! She is always so sweet and remembers my name and what I like to drink. It makes me feel important :) thank you for always making my crappy work day better Jen!

cute outdoor patio with pretty good food, decent service and a fairly limited menu. There is pretty much NEVER a wait here and the food comes out quickly, so in that case it may be your best bet on some nights for a quick and reliable meal in the downtown area. I’m surprised it isn’t a little busier, but then again there are really great options nearby. I suggest coming during happy hour when the prices are much more reasonable. Without the happy hour prices, I think it’s high for what you get. The ultimate margarita is $ 11.00 and not strong. It tastes good, but definitely doesn’t have that bang-for-your-buck factor. I got a Reuben($ 13.00) which was pretty good. Melty and tasty but the meat was a tiny bit overcooked and there wasn’t much thousand island. The fries were killer though! Maybe the best fries ever! We’ll be back for happy hour but maybe not date night.

Stopped in for lunch while walking around near the Midway Museum. It’s pretty much a sports bar in the lobby of the Embassy Suites. No issues with the waitstaff but it took a really long time to get our food. We only ordered 2 salads, hamburger, sandwich and a kids Mac and cheese meal. it took about 45 min to get our food. When we did get the food I couldn’t let my 2 year old eat the Mac and cheese with a clear conscious. The noodles were pretty much just a big sticky over cooked blob with some kind of fake nasty cheese. I’m not a health nut but there is no way I’d let my kid eat it. Fortunately the wait staff agreed and brought the Mac and cheese back and gave extra veggies for my son and he had some of my meal. The salads weren’t cheap 15 – 17 $ with the added chicken or salmon. They were small for the price and the lettuce was brown around the edges. Seemed like the bacon was bacon bits type fake bacon. The avocado wasn’t ripe. I didn’t try the burger or sandwich but they looked better than the salads. Comparing price, the burger or sandwich is a much better deal than the salad. Overall I was not impressed with this restaurant. Food wasn’t anything special and the Mac and cheese was gross. On the plus side the wait staff was okay and they didn’t charge us for the kids meal.

Stopped in for lunch during a break from the Gartner conference taking place across the street at the Hyatt(I was staying at the attached Embassy Suites). Since I was in a hurry and had some work to catch up on, I ordered my food to go. I was surprised by the lack of fish options on the menu; in fact, the only fish option that I saw(outside of fish tacos) was on the specials menu. So, I went with the tilapia and vegetables. It was VERY good, though I was surprised by how small the portion was(less than 3 oz of fish). All in all, I am rating this place with 4 stars… but really only because the service was good and the fish was so tasty. That said, there is a big opportunity here to update the menu with more fish options, especially with a name like«Pacific Fish Company.»

A great neighbors bar that’s so happen to be in a hotel. Came here feb ’15, and the environment here was pretty good. Wait staff were helpful and the environment is nice and chill. I was quite surprised that members from the neighborhood came here to grab drinks and a quick bite. It’s interesting to be a hotel guest and see such community. It’s great. Food was tasty. Salad comes out in record time!

During 2014 Comic-Con I tried to get a hamburger with fries for takeout. This was around 8pm or so and the place was not crowded at all, maybe 60% full. Walked in, placed my order at the register, and paid on cash. 30 minutes later, after other takeout orders picked up by customers who ordered after me, I asked the wait staff on the status of my order. They get back to me and say«It’s coming», I give the kitchen staff the benefit of the doubt and think that it may be just a few more minutes. Nope. After another 15 minutes, I ask the wait staff again about my order, same response«It’s coming». I give up and tell the person at the register to cancel my order and refund me my money. They, all 3 waiting staff, say that I will have to wait for my refund. Another 15 minutes, still no refund given to me. Even though all 3 of the wait staff have been back and forth using the register/POS and walking right past me. At this point I’m pissed that the staff is ignoring me. Luckily the dishwasher/busboy guy comes out from the kitchen, i guess after noticing me standing at the register area for an hour, and he points out the manager to me so that I can get some resolution. Luckily the manager immediately goes and gets my refund. I also tell the him how the wait staff kept ignoring my numerous requests for a refund. Got the hell out of there(now that it’s almost 930pm), crossed directly across the street to the Cheesecake Factory, and placed an order for hamburger and fries(at a cheaper I might add). 15 minutes after placing my order at the Cheesecake Factory I’m out the door with my food, even with people still waiting outside to dine in! Never, ever coming back to this place. Save yourself both time and money by walking an extra 50 feet and eating at the Cheesecake Factory.

Stopped in for Taco Tuesday. Great experience! I ordered the traditional Baja, Mahi Mahi and pork carnitas tacos. All three were delicious, substantial and presented beautifully. My kids split a quesadilla, and the server brought it out on two plates with a wonderful amount of fries. The kids were thrilled! The only complaint I have is that you cannot order the tacos to go on taco Tuesday night. I live a block away and would love to have this option available! Overall, great option if your in the area!

Arrived in San Diego in the evening and was hungry for dinner. Stayed in a hotel near the restaurant and ran into this place. The small restaurant is located under the Embassy Suites and the seating area contains several booths, a bar, and stool-type seating. They also have several tv’s for your viewing pleasure – of sports. The waiter/bartender was very nice when taking our order. I ordered a Dr. Pepper and Fish & Chips, which comes with a small side of coleslaw. The fried fish wasn’t greasy, the coleslaw wasn’t dowsed in mayo-type dressing and the fries had sprinklers of salt and pepper. The fries came in a cup, and not on your plate. Gave it a nice little touch. Overall, I really enjoyed my late dinner. Well worth checking out again the next time I visit San Diego. Why I only gave it 4 stars? There were some drunks(not sure if they were homeless) talking very loud near the outdoor seating area. As a diner, this was TOTALLY unacceptable. One actually came over and started talking to us and I was afraid he was going to lose his temper and start hitting me or my husband. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but what got me irritated was that none of the employees made repeated efforts to get these people off the premises. One spoke w/this one time and that was it. Honestly, I would have called the police to have them removed. That makes for a very uncomfortable atmosphere. I would give this place a try, but go during the day.

We ate here during our stay at the Embassy Suites. One of my negatives about the hotel was the dearth of decent restaurants nearby, of which Pacific Fish is a serious offender. I normally avoid hotel restaurants because they’re usually overpriced and underwhelming, but given the lack of options around, we went here anyway. Unfortunately, it lived up to its hotel restaurant«overpriced and underwhelming» reputation. Located at the end of the lobby, Pacific Fish has an open kitchen, large bar, lots of TVs, and feels more like a sports bar than anything. The menu is kind of all over the place. For a restaurant that calls itself«Pacific Fish», I’d expect a little more fish on the menu, but apparently not. You’re more likely to find wings, flatbreads, or burgers here, and maybe that’s part of their problem: trying to do too many things at once and ending doing none of them well. Food: My mom and I ordered fish and chips($ 16) and my godmother ordered calamari($ 10) and a California chop salad($ 11). The fish and chips were pretty greasy, with a heavy batter on the fish, super greasy skinny fries, and a bland, unmemorable coleslaw. Before you say fish and chips are supposed to be greasy, well, maybe they are, but I’d still like to actually taste the fish in them. My godmother’s calamari looked pretty greasy too, but the salad looked okay(it’s kind of hard to screw up a salad though, honestly). All in all, kind of a let down and certainly nothing to write home about. Service was so-so. Our food took a long time to arrive and our server seemed disinterested in waiting on us. Mediocre at best. I’d skip this one if I were you. Unless you’re desperate and have nowhere else to turn but the hotel restaurant, it’s not worth the visit. I wish I could recommend something else, but everything around the Embassy Suites seems equally lame, too.

Thanksgiving dinner was amazing! Last year my family was in town visiting for the holidays. I have a real small kitchen with no room to cook a big thanksgiving meal. I was looking around for a restaurant that was serving a turkey dinner. It was an amazing spread of food. The turkey and gravy was delicious. I have some family visiting this year for Thanksgiving. I called PFC to see if they are going to be open for Thanksgiving. They said that they are and will be serving a 3 course meal. I asked about reservations and they said that it is on a walk in basis. It is a very reasonable price of $ 22.95 and kids are half off.

Sports bar & grill with 5 or 6 LCDs, mostly showing local sports. Open kitchen design. I came in for drinks and food a few times during my stay at the Embassy Suites. Great friendly and responsive staff. They remember you and take care of you. Nice lineup of local craft beers on tap. Nice patio too. The ahi fish sandwich was great, as were the baja fish tacos! I’d recommend either of those wholeheartedly at the prices they’re at. The crabcakes were just ok… I wouldn’t get them again but the salad that came with it was good. The scallops on special were perfectly done, but it was a very small portion, and the sugar snap peas and lemon risotto weren’t impressive. Most surprising to me was that I met locals at the bar. I expected only hotel-people to come here, since it’s attached to the lobby, but that was not the case. People who live and work in this neighborhood also come here(at least for drinks).

We stopped in for late night dessert cravings as we made our way back to the Embassy Suites. We arrived past the posted closing time but the staff didn’t appear to mind. We were greeted upon entering and happily served by a nice gentleman who effortlessly rattled off the dessert offerings. The chocolate cake and cheesecake were calling our names! The chocolate cake was decadent, smooth and balanced with just the right amount of fudge, icing and cake. Given the essential inhalation of the cheesecake by my friend, I’m assuming it was quite good too. One star off for the cost to size ratio. For $ 8, I expected a much larger piece of cake!

Our staycation was at the Embassy suites in downtown San Diego. It was pouring rain so we didn’t venture outside the hotel. We wanted to watch the charger game so we went to the PFC… really that is the only reason we entered the doors. We decided to order some food so we ordered a burger with side salad and some Parmesan fries. Burger was good, nothing terribly exciting but it was cooked exactly medium well(as I ordered) And it was big. The salad was good… it even had sunflower seeds in it! The fries were friggin amazing! Prices were in line with«Hotel restaurant prices», which is overpriced. My major complaint is that there were six televisions, all with NFL games on and the charger game was only on one tv!!! Some other game was playing on 2 screens… and they wouldn’t change it! We had to rubber neck to see the game. That really bothered me a LOT!!! Later that night we returned for HH apps… We enjoyed everything except the calamari … My mom had a fish taco the day before and said it was the worst and stickiest fish taco ever!!! So whatever you do… don’t eat fish at pacific fish company… funny huh? Stick with the burgers, fries and salad

It was a stroke of luck that we left the hotel in search of a Starbucks, and ran into the Pacific Fish Co. for brunch on New Years’ morning. It is located within the Embassy Suites Hotel, and OMG, there was a Starbucks right next door… woo hoo! The memory of our experience at Harbor House was still lingering as we sat down to order. This tine we did some research before. LOL. I ordered the Mahi Tacos, and wifey decided on the Blackened Salmon sandwich. Wow. I have to say that we were pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh, beautiful, and very satisfying. My tacos were very good, but the star of the meal had to be my wife’s blackened salmon sandwich. Se gave me a bite(as always), and I realized once again, she scored the better entrée… it was damned delicious. Juicy, seasoned, generous portion. Sandwiches like this, and hey, a «salmon» sandwich at that, are not the norm for us out of fear of getting an overcooked piece of fish. Not here. Excellence on a plate. I had to resist that third bite, and let wifey enjoy the fruits of her good choice :) High marks for the Blackened Salmon sandwich, and for Erin, our server as well. She was personable, cheerful, and a joy on a day when most of us are nursing hangovers from the night before… good times!
