Ate way too much pork, chicken, and beef, which was all delicious! Buffet style makes for quick service. Staff was very friendly.

The best Filipino restaurant in the Penasquitos area. The owners are very friendly. The food is just like home cooked foods back home in the Philippines. Gives large servings and its hard to finish the amount of food they give you. They treat you like family when you eat there. Been going to this place for more than 15 years since they were in the old place and when they moved to their new place, nothing has changed except it got better. Keep it up guys cause going there and eating has always been a pleasure. See you tonight…

They’re tucked away in the same plaza as 24 Hour Fitness, Stater Brothers, and Phở Saigon and Grill. I didn’t even now Orient Valley was in this plaza so I decided to visit one Sunday late morning. They had 1,2,3 item combos as well as a la carte selections. I ordered: PORKSISIG The colors of this sisig was beautiful. So many purplish red onions, peppers, and tart vinegar. But I tasted mostly that over the pork that was in this dish. I felt more of the veggie-crunch versus the pork-chew that I like about sisig. The pork pieces were smaller than what I’ve had in the past as well(notably at Chic-Boy). TWOITEMCOMBO I think I ordered the two item combo but asked for double pork. I think the pork was Lechon Kawali. There was a decent amount of vegetables in the noodles but everything tasted bland. It needed more salt or seasoning added. The kawali looked amazing(see pic) but the skin was tough to eat and the meat tasted a bit tough. They offer a liver and a vinegar sauce for the kawali. CHICKENSKIN They purchase these chicken skins from Lola Happy Bakery. I’m not sure when these were made as the restaurant wasn’t sure either. The chicken skins tasted nicely crispy regardless. I wish they were seasoned a bit more. But the ones here from Orient Valley(or Lola Happy Bakery) weren’t bad and suffices as a low-carb potato chip of sorts. Service was ok. I had a ton of questions to ask about what to order but I felt a bit out of place to do so that afternoon. I think I’d come back to try more items and learn more about Filipino dishes

I’ve been here in San Diego for two years but i didn’t know about this store. Very close to where I live. Its my first time. I just bought the combo set(steam rice, adobo, lumpia and pancit). It was sooooooo good! Highly recommended. And very affordable. I wish i can give 10 stars. Thank you for your service. Employees are hospitable and friendly.

Nanay hooked it up!!! I’ve never had Bangus Sisig before but I’m pretty sure the devil thought it up… so delicious! Add on some Pancit Palabok, Arroz Caldo, Lumpia Shanghai, Ginataan and some Turon that lovely Nanay threw in and we had a feast! Not only was everything that we sampled delicious, but we were served up like we were part of the Orient Valley family… they were all so sweet and welcoming as it was our first time there and I felt like I was being helped by my own aunties. And I don’t mean the aunties that tell you that you got fat, question why you haven’t had kids yet, or compare you to their far superior kids… I’m talking about family that loves you unconditionally without judgement. I had such a horrible week with my Popz being in ICU that anything could have set me off that day. I was so happy we came here after finding them on Unilocal… thank you Unilocalers! We wanted a nice home cooked meal and they went way beyond the call of duty to make us feel welcome and fed until we were stuffed to the gills. I can’t wait to take my family here! Love this place.

Date of visit: 11÷8÷2015 I really wanted pancit and adobo without all the cooking, so my family and Cam went to Orient Valley for a quick lunch. Everything is prepared in hot trays, so you just order a combo plate or a la carte with whatever you want. I got pancit bihon, pancit malabon, rice, chicken adobo, and lumpia. It was really great and definitely took the edge off of my headache. My parents also got some lechon, which was good, but I didn’t like the sauce that came with it since I’m used to having tomas tomas. Overall, I really like Orient Valley — I know my family usually order Filipino food from here since they’re closer to home than other Filipino restaurants. They also have some groceries that you don’t find at your typical supermarket.

Wow. there was a line of customers waiting when it opened at 930 am. While they were slow in bringing out food; with each diish they brought out, the food looked more delicious and authentic. So while we were greeted with the tocino and loganisa mix; next was chicken adobo, then lumpia and a few other dishes… until Lechon(at 10 am!) beyond the choices, this place is clean, big has a greaet selection of other authentic products you can find in a grocery and the location is of being in a high end version of chinatown, where there are other ethnic restaurants, and stores… next to a 24 hour fitness. Nice mix of retail!

Bangus(fried milkfish) was really good. Ginitang had vanilla flavoring added so it was on the sweet side. My sis tried a balut(duck egg) for the first time. Not bad for $ 1.50. Fresh lumpia and plenty of seating. Cantaloupe juice was yummy. Will have to try the halo-halo next time though. My family finally got to try this place after so many to come here during our trips to San Diego.

That lumpia! Definitely becomes the star of any party or potluck you’ll be going to. Place your order a day or two ahead of you can, and it’ll be ready by the time you specify. A box of 50 runs $ 21.60 after tax.

This is solely my review about their lumpia. I had ordered 50 lumpia to pick up the next day at 5:30pm as I was going to bring it to my workplace for our potluck on a Friday since that was a three day weekends because of Memorial Day. The only reason I decided to call in was because they were sold out the other time I tried to drop by — but that was also my bad as it was the famous Mayweather and Pacquiao fight that day. They took my order and agreed that the next day(I was calling on a Wednesday) I would pick it up. Due to some work problems, I ended up being a half hour late — also because of traffic that date. But I called them once I was leaving my workplaces — and they told me they would have it ready. By the time I got there, I was a bit nervous as I was afraid that they would not have anything left. Getting there, I came in contact with the usual lady that works the cashier(I never got her name) and she had given me the sad news that the food was all sold out but I told her I had ordered lumpia for pick up. She then smiled and called someone in the kitchen who brought out the lumpia I needed to pick up. I got my order and headed back home. Once home… I devoured 5 because it smelled so good and tasted so good. Would definitely go again — just for the lumpia!

Terrible service! Craving lumpia so stopped by since we were in area. Asked the auntie behind the counter if we can get just lumpia(since everything else looked grossed!). She said I have to buy 25 pieces then she proceeded to count out the remaining pieces in the pan for another customer. I said can I buy a few… She ignores me and walks away. So we left. Wont be back.

I ordered 100 beef lumpia for a party which was of course a hit. When picking up my order we HAD to eat here before our party! Everything looks soo delicious ! My man and I split a 3 item combo. Garlic rice with eggplant dipped in egg, lechon, and langonesa. We also orders two calamansi juices. We were STUFFED and very satisfied !! Service was top notch and all the food reminded me of my moms cooking ! Comfort food for this sesame cracker ;) highly recommend ! I’ll be back very soon !

Went here yesterday and the food was almost all gone. I guess that means they had a lot of customers that day. It was good for me because I got to try a little of everything. The owner hooked me up. The BBQ pork, dinuguan, and sisig were our favorites. Next time I will take my family for there for lunch instead of doing take out.

I have been coming here for years now. The food is great and almost grandma cooking style. Some staff are friendly but others seem like they have personal issues. I like their lechon kawali but they always run out of the brown sauce. 3 stars for good food but sometimes bad service.

I never knew this place existed. I walked in here for the first time and was quite surprised at how nice it looked inside – especially up front. I’ve been to a handful of Filipino places, and this is definitely the best looking one(as far as décor and cleanliness). Now to the more important part: the food. I ordered a two item combo with half Pancit/half rice along with the Pork Adobo and Sisig. The pancit was good and had flavor, but probably on the average side though. The Pork Adobo meat were riblets. There was a boiled egg in there, which I liked. The sauce was on the sweeter side, which I didn’t mind much, but I think I would have preferred it less sweet. The Sisig was too spicy for my taste. Upon close inspection, I saw that there were tons of onions and jalapeños(or whatever spicy chili pepper was in there). And not much meat. I did like that the lechon pieces that were in there were still crispy. I ended up picking out all the chopped chili peppers to make the last few bites tolerable. I would definitely like to come back to try their other offerings. This first visit didn’t impress me with the food, but maybe next time…

I finally got to try this place the other day, and its the closest Filipino restaurant in PQ without having to run down to Mira Mesa or National City. And I have to say, that i wasn’t bad at all. 1 Item Combo ~ $ 5.99 2 Item Combo ~ $ 6.99 3 Item Combo ~ $ 7.99 Substitute steamed rice for pancit noodles is an extra $ 1 Balut $ 1.50 each! First time I have ever had Balut at a restaurant instead of at home and it was delicious! They had the right size egg, with the right size fetus, and served hot! Dinuguan The dinuguan here is too watery for my taste. I prefer my blood soup thicker. Bicol Express I was warned that this dish was spicy before I purchased it. And it definitely had a spicy kick. I think this dish was ok. It looked better than it tasted. Lechon I was very disappointed that my portion of Lechon literally had two pieces of meat(one was dry and the other was normal) and the remaining portion was all pork skin. But I do have to say that the pork skin was the most crispiest I’ve ever had. Usually most places, the pork skin is too hard or too chewy. But the pork skin here was crunchy. Kare Kare This was good. Plentiful of meat with green beans and other veggies. Meat wasn’t too dry. Sauce had good flavor. Pancit I was a bit skeptical about their pancit because it was half rice noodles and partial chow mein noodles which is not very traditional. It is also fairly mixed with vegetables. But it was good. Ginataang This was delicious. Coconut cream pudding with corn and jelly. Just the right amount of sweetness and served warm. Overall, it wasn’t the best but I would probably come here again. All the ladies here are really nice. They greet you and say bye to you. They also have other Filipino desserts, drinks, and snacks. P. S. If you don’t know what any of these dishes are, feel free to message me and ask!(:

My parents love this place. It covers the basics of filipino. Food. Beware going on a sunday during lunch the line gets. Pretty long and i believe they’re closed on mondays? But very nice family owned restaurant. Gets a lot of business in this community.
