Stopped by for 2 sandwiches before going to the beach. Not many options, but they were good. No vegetables, just meat and cheese. They warned them up and added mayo for us

Yum. The banana nut bread and the chocolate chip banana bread are both divine. I followed my best friend here(she lives across the street) to get some sort of ham and cheese bread for her son, who adores them. We were sidetracked by the freshly baked loaf pieces, which we were told had only then cooled enough to be sliced and individually wrapped. At first, we only bought one piece, but after that was opened and passed around, we each got two more to-go. I didn’t eat one of the pieces until a couple days later(I stored it in the fridge when I got home), and it was still lovely. I want another right now justing thinking about it.

Love this place — super cute shop with delicious treats and tasty coffee. Prices are reasonable, and the owner is great. The spread in the window reminds you of an old school bakery shop, esp with prices like $ 0.50 for a cookie. Looking forward to trying all their baked goods!

I am a MB local and let me tell you that this place has the best stuff. ANYTHING they have is good. I love their latte’s and muffins. I can’t really go to any other coffee place because nothing tastes like theirs does. Also, you can walk 20 ft to the beach and have your goodies while watching the waves :-)

Mission Beach has a new gem«The Olive Baking Co». Their Sourdough starter is over 100 years old and the bread they make with has no commercial yeast or preservatives. They make it with flour, water, and sea salt yummy. Next time your in Mission Beach it’s a must to stop in and try everything they have to offer Boars Head Meats, pastries, and of course the bread. Parking is s snap at the Aquatic Center on the bay side of Mission Bl and Santa Clara Pl

OMG, where do I begin? I was walking by the beach and was really hungry. I stumbled upon a brand new bakery, Olive Baking Company. The smell drew me in. I was overwhelmed by all the fresh baked goodies on display. It was hard for me to decide what I wanted to eat first, but I ordered a ham & cheese panini. This was one of the most delicious paninis I’ve ever had. They use Boar’s Head products, so you know you’re getting quality. I could really tell that I was eating freshly baked bread! While waiting for my panini, I was looking at all the temptations in the glass cases. How to choose between canolis, tiramisu, brownies, lemon bars, granola bars, macaroons, cinnamon rolls, and more, all made from scratch and in-house? I got my grilled sandwich to eat on the outside patio, and figured I would go back in for dessert. Unfortunately, the sandwich tasted so amazing and was such a generous size, I couldn’t stop eating it and ended up eating the whole thing! I guess I’ll have to go back another time for dessert! The Olive Baking Company is part of the Olive Café family, which also includes the Creamery. I guess being able to walk in and have no line will be a short-lived experience. Once word gets out that Sarah has another perfect destination for local foodies, I’m sure it will be mobbed. Although I live in North PB, I have no doubt that this will be my go-to place for fresh loaves of bread, rolls, grab & go sandwiches, and tasty treats. By the way, I understand this place may be closed for a few days in the coming week(s) so the new a/c can be completed. If you go and it’s not open, go back!
