Would give zero stars if I could. Went to have a shirt dry cleaned. Posted price list indicated $ 2.50/ shirt. I was charged $ 3.00. When I questioned about the price, and pointed out the sign, I was told«That old sign.» I then inquired about another sign indicating 20% off dry cleaning, and the clerk repeated«That old sign.» I took my business elsewhere, and would suggest you do too.

I live in La Jolla and go to the Ocean Cleaners in PB because of there amazing service, drive thru and that they know me and my entire family! My clothes are always perfect and when they arent which has happened once in the 10 years I have been going there they corrected immediately. I may add to the 1 star below 80 dollars and attached cuffs that can melt does not an expensive shirt make… I am not sure who you were dealing with but it most certainly was not anyone who works at Ocean!!! Too bad that more people do not write reviews about Dry Cleaners I assure you Ocean would have 5 stars

I used to be loyal customer of Ocean Cleaners as I was attracted by it’s proximity to my home and the convenient drive thru drop-off. I bought an expensive, new dress shirt for New Years Eve and dropped the shirt off a few days later to be dry cleaned. I picked up my shirt, brought it home, and tried it on the following week. At this point, I noticed that the permanent cufflinks on my new shirt were completely destroyed; Ocean cleaners had cracked the top of the cufflinks and melted the snapping mechanism. I figured that as a loyal customer, I would inform the employees of the problem they created and they would resolve it. I wasn’t asking for them to replace the shirt($ 80). I in fact gave them the option of replacing the cufflinks themselves or if they’d prefer, I could go to a tailor and they would reimburse me. Instead, they chose to give me the shaft. The employee told me that he’s never seen the shirt. Before this fiasco, I didn’t go any other dry cleaners. Further, I’d only worn the shirt once and certainly didn’t melt the cufflinks that night! There’s no doubt that they had my shirt and that they damaged it. He then asks another employee if she’s ever seen the damaged shirt. She also denied it. Again, it’s not a question if they possessed the shirt or not! Besides, they see hundreds of shirts per day. The employee claimed to be in the business for 20 years and is personally responsible for sorting the shirts to which shirts are laundry and which are dry cleaning. The fact remains, although he does not remember tossing my shirt in with the countless other shirts he cleans, I know with full conviction since I brought him one shirt, THAT shirt. They had no problem calling me a liar and had no interest in resolving(let alone taking the blame) for the problem they created. Stiff-arming loyal customers is bad practice. Apparently they aren’t a minor alteration to a shirt is worth more to them than losing my business, YOUR business, and their reputation. Sad.

I dropped off my laundry here in their funky cool drive through window. What a great idea! they did all my linens, under things, and t-shirts for $ 1.50/lb. That is about $ 20 for a basket of laundry. Ouch. Maybe their rent is high since they are so close to the beach. They also dry cleaned my clothes, 1 dress, 2 sweaters and some pants for about $ 22. So a $ 40 trip and I have sparkling clean smelling clothes again. It did seem expensive(so minus 1 star) but the drive through window makes up for it. For the first time I dropped off my stuff by 7am and got it back at 5. Yeah baby!!!
