I had a great experience here yesterday! After driving out to Home Depot and shopping around with the intention of renting a circular saw afterwards, I was curtly informed that the Sports Arena location doesn’t rent tools. I called the local OB Hardware shop asking if they did and they pointed me in Mark’s direction. I called up and he had what I was looking for, so I popped on over and picked it up. A quick tutorial and an extra extension cord and I was on my way. I rented for one day but my carpentry skills were better than I had guessed and I only needed it for a few hours. When I dropped it off early he was so kind to give me a refund for that additional time! Knowing this shop is close by makes me feel much better about living without a set of power tools. Thanks Mark!

We’ve rented from here several times now and Mark and his guys are always very helpful and have reasonable pricing on their equipment. I def prefer renting here than anywhere else.

I rented a trailer yesterday, and the trailer had a hole, the tire was almost flat, in the 24 hours that I had it, I aired it up three times. when I was about three miles away I realized the tire had no air and next day when I returned it and showed it, they said” I know, I know”. so it means they rented the equipment that was old and they did not care about the safety. when I went there to return it, by the time they got to me they said it was 30 mins late while they had to disconnect the trailer and they helped 2 other costumers, before helping me. They charged me another $ 11 for that 30 minutes. The owner Mark is rip-​off. I will never rent there again nor I would recommend it to a friend.

Good prices, intelligent staff, very convenient location if you are working in OB or point loma. Call ahead to make sure they have what you need as they are not a huge renter like el camino rentals.

Extremely convienant if you’re in PL or OB. The owner, Mark, is always very helpful and can provide great insight into your project. Not always the lowest rates but nice to support local business.
