Ocean Beach Canine Carnival

The 8^th Annual Ocean Beach Canine Carnival is coming up this Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, 10 am — 4 pm at Dusty Rhodes Park (corner of Sunset Cliffs and Nimitz, across from Robb Field). I’ve been a few times (even before we owned a dog), and it’s a lot of fun!
They have a street fair, games, doggie costume parade, crafts and food for both pets and people. It’s FREE to attend, but if you want to participate in the Costume Contest and Parade, it’s $ 7 for single dogs, or $ 10 for groups and floats (one or more dogs riding on something, like a wagon).
Registration for the costume contest is 11 a. m — 1 pm, and Parade is 1:30– 2:30 p.m. I’m always amazed at all the creative (and often hilarious, costumes). A fun event to attend to get in the Halloween spirit!
