OB Hair & Nails

Not a really good experience. My girlfriends and I went here to get a manicure and was not a great experience. One of my girlfriends had a plain ol’ manicure and it was a mess! I believe I could have done it better. The nail polish was chunky and corners of the nail was missed. It was so bad. We stated that it doesn’t look good but she kept saying it will get better. It never did. When she was almost done we asked for it to be redone. Another employee came and cleaned it off and repainted lickity split. It was a lot better.
For my sister, she wanted her nail done in shellac. She had short nails on a couple and the tech put fake ones on it. A price was never mentioned and was charged. I am not happy with this place and will make sure I will steer clear of it. Word of caution… If they are doing something outside of what’s normal, ask if this is an extra charge!!! It probably is.

Literally sitting in the pedicure chair as I write this. I have been a customer to this facility for over 6 months now. I am leaving for vacation today and booked an appointment for a mani pedi two weeks ago. Upon arrival we were told to have a seat where we waited for 15 minutes. One woman started my pedicure, cut a huge chunk of skin off my big toe, and drastically cut the corners on only two of my toes, then left me to go cut a mans hair… Sat in the chair for over 25 minutes waiting for someone to complete my pedicure. A different lady comes to finish (kimmy) she states that the woman before me cut the corners too much and attempts to fix it. Mind you I’m still not upset at this point. I only got upset when the polish did not turn out good, wasn’t even brought down to the cuticle. I was told they needed to take off all the polish and start over, kimmy then left me and stared working on another customer again… Another women then comes over and ask me what was wrong, I told her about being cut, the nails being cut wrong and the paint not being put on right… She in return argued with me on everything and pretty much told me to leave. Will never ever be back to this place again.

Best place for nails in OB I’ve found so far. Clean, fast, friendly and reasonably priced.

This place is the best! $ 25 gel manicure? Can’t beat that. And the quality is top notch! Kimmy is amazing at full sets — look what she did for my wedding this Friday! Thank you O.B. Hair & Nails for the amazing work :)

Very poor quality service. Women were friendly, however, I was in the salon for about an hour ½ just to get a gel manicure. My nails turned out looking like I did them myself; they were not painted all the way where the base of my nail met the cuticles, and the gel has already started chipping after two days. Maybe this quality of service was just an off day for OB Nails, seeing as the other reviews are good… but I would not go back.

The best nail tech in SD — Kimmy was friendly and paid attention to every detail. This was no easy task with my neglected beach battered feet. She is a magician, every toe is perfect and my feet are super soft.
The spa is clean with plastic bag lined trays, and the massage chairs give you a nice deep kneading.
Top shelf experience :)

Have been a loyal and Happy customer for many years. Nancy is amazing for Men’s Haircuts at an extremely fair price.
I have brought many Men to her and they are all loyal and Happy as well.
Her haircuts are consistently great and the way she throws in the extra scalp, neck and shoulder massage makes you want a haircut daily.
Kimmy has also made many of myself, female and male friends Happy and relaxed w her expertise and artistry in Manicures and pedicures.
I have known these wonderful ladies for years and with their New Gorgeous location, they should flourish for years to come.

Visited OB Hair nail salon last week for a pedicure and shellac manicure. Terrific experience! Very friendly, experienced staff. The salon/​spa has a very relaxing atmosphere. The massage chair is so comfy. Prices very comparable to others. I got a smudge on my nail and in the past at other salons they have gotten annoyed but she told me «stop saying sorry, let’s fix it» and she totally fixed it. She did fabulous job on my hand (fill and gel). I’m SOOOO happy I came to OB salon. This salon is amazing. I will absolutely come back and highly recommend that you check these ladies out!!!

Highly recommended. Got my nails done for This valentines, Im in love with the works that they done, The lady who did my nails was very gentle and pay attention to every details, she do exactly what i asked for. The salon is sparkling clean, organized. They have Sterilizers pouches for their tools and plastic liner for pedicure which I really like. They also provide great customer service and offer water and chocolates. This will be my future salon in OB

Sam did an amazing job on my gel manicure! He is very detail oriented and spent a long time on my paws making them look perfect! The price was also very reasonable. Don’t hesitate to go see him today for your manicure/​pedicure needs.

5 Star Service! We just moved to the area and saw this place while walking by. We decided to try it on a rainy Sunday and came as a «Walk in». They were a little busy and kindly asked if we could come back in a half hour. We came back, picked our polish colors and were seated in the massage chairs.
I loved how hygienic they were! Each pedicure basin was covered with a plastic liner. All the nail tools came out of sterilized peel packs for each use. They even had small files and buffers that appear to be one time use! The place looked to be very clean and they even have two hair chairs as I think they do hair and waxing also.
All the staff was very friendly and helpful and apologized for our initial wait. Next time I may try and plan better and have an appointment to make it easier on them too! I am very happy with my experience and will return!

Love this spot! Stopped in today for the first time (after a quick call to check availability) and was so happy I did! $ 30 for a mani/​pedi with great service! They offered me water and chocolates which was super sweet, and the ladies that worked on me were very genuine. Everything was clean, the massage chairs were comfy, and they accept card (over $ 20) which is pretty rare around here. I found my OB nail spot!

Just tried out the newest nail salon in OB.
Not only are they friendly and HYGENIC but also professional at a great cost.
I’m on the border for telling anyone about this place as I am sure they will fill up quickly. Their gel manicures are done with precision and Sam was sure to check for any flaws.
There were a few regulars that had popped in during my time here and by the looks of it they were more than happy with their work and attitude.
Thank you for opening a wonderful nail salon to the neighborhood.

Great service! I called in only 10 minutes before wanting a simple manicure, I was a little hesitant when they could get me in right away. But, upon arrival Kim asked me to pick my polish while she finished up with her client. She did an excellent manicure! I rarely get my cuticle cut, I don’t like how «cut happy» some technicians get but she did the BEST job I didn’t ever have to say anything. My nails sparkly, my cuticle look healthy & over all great experience, clean & attentive ~ $ 14 for a basic (not spa, not get) manicure I couldn’t be happier!

This place is amazing! The owner is precious and the workers are genuinely caring and friendly as opposed to most of the nail salons I have been to. Along with being friendly they did a fantastic job! I highly highly recommend. I had an anniversary that I wanted to get pampered for and they did my hair, nails, eyebrows all at a reasonable cost.

They did a beautiful job with my gel manicure and pedicure. While they couldn’t do exactly what I wanted due to not having loose glitter, they got as close as they could to the look I was going for. They paid a lot of attention to detail and were friendly.

Nancy is the best! She used to be with another shop of similar name. Thankfully she has gone off on her own! She has a lovely, caring staff. They actually want you to be happy with your services. Clean, new, relaxing salon!

Service was friendly and I like the way they took the time with my gel nails. They covered the edges which usually helps it last longer for me!

This salon is brand new with nice comfortable chairs. I got my pedicure done by Kimmy who is very easy to talk to and did a great job! She spent quite sometime on my toes and also massage my feet and legs. Great relaxing experience and a very reasonable price too! Ladies you got to check it out :)
