UPDATE 05−19−16: Fire Doors Have been finally fixed! As far as everything else I talked about in my previous review, the problems still have not been taken care of or eliminated @ The Cero Vista Condominiums.
Dear N. N Jaeschke, your current response to my previous review was «How Sorry You are I’m experiencing these issues» but when I spoke to you about the major hazards and health violations, you decided to ignore the things brought to your attention. You should consider lowering the fees that are being charged to the current home owners for the services & the upkeep of the property/​building that are NOT being provided by your POC company! If this building is safe, clean, cockroach free, Free from trash and debri, Come spend the night in this building with your family, wife, husband, child, or yourself and tell me how safe and comfortable you feel in the morning. So again, please tell me how sorry you are I’m experiencing these issues?

WORST HOA /​Management EVER! Hiiiiigh dues and low value of customer service. IMPOSSIBLE to reach anyone, even if you leave voicemail after voicemail. When you do finally get someone, they’re unbelievably rude and completely unhelpful. And i’m not usually one to complain.
I’ve been under them for years now, and they are SO awful that I sold my place. Sooooo glad to be under new, cheaper, kinder, more helpful management elsewhere!!!

The company manages our HOA at Liberty Station and provides terrible customer service. The manager is rude and does not take responsibility for problems they are required to handle.

In late 2014, N.N. Jaeschke sent a notice to my HOA members stating a $ 10 per month increase in fees beginning in January 2015. We didn’t receive the notice and of course, didn’t increase our monthly payments. There’s no way to know what happened. The notice fell on the mailroom floor? USPS didn’t deliver it to us? We lost it before we read it?
We have lived in this neighborhood for 16 years and have paid all our assessments when due for a total of more than $ 20,000. It’s obvious that no one looked at our account – a half-​wit could have figured out what was wrong in two minutes. An additional copy of the notice could have been sent, a phone call or e-​mail could have been made. Instead, computer generated late payment letters arrived, late fees were added as if we had made no payment instead of underpaying by 8%. The letters were obfuscating, not signed by a person, and only the corporate receptionist“s phone number was given.
In mid-​2015 when I decided to investigate, I made three phone calls to the number referenced in the letters and each time left a message in a voice mailbox which was never returned. I also told the receptionist the subject of my inquiry, with no further response by NNJ. We feel we were set up. In my 50 years as a responsible adult, and almost 25 years as a corporate accountant, I have never experienced a situation where the debtor has to track down the person holding the debt to get the necessary details!
In early April I persisted. Do I wish I had persisted earlier? Of course, hind-​sight is always perfect. I made an additional seven phone calls to NNJ before I got a voice mailbox of a vice president saying she would return my call within one business day. The next day I finally got a phone call from a live person who had access to my records.
On April 5 we received a letter from an attorney. This letter of course, was signed by a real person, gave an address, and a real phone number. The $ 160 in underpaid dues had mushroomed to $ 654. The amount due was detailed with a full explanation of charges.
Do I accept part of the blame? Of course, but there’s plenty to go around. 50% to me. After all, it is MY money. 10% to my Board of Directors for lack of oversight. 40% to NNJ. They’re not managing my HOA account. They’re just using their software and hiring a computer operator. In addition, their corporate communications and corporate culture of incompetence are deplorable.

I downloaded Unilocal just to complain about this company, have never used Unilocal before but this was the only way to voice my opinion. Words do not begin to discribe the frustrations this management company give with there lack of ownership and the run around you get when you need something from them. There a bottom feeder management company, no beter than s.h.e.

They are supposed to help HOAs run according to the rules all agreed to. They don’t. They are biased towards whatever rules the President likes and ignore the rest. Homeowners have to pay their fees to administer the Rules and Reg but they do whatever they want, not what you hired them to do. Local «government» run rampant. They favor certain residents and decide they don’t like others. They are unprofessional. They don’t work on the homeowners’ behalf but only for those that are in charge of paying them with our dues’ funds.

When moving out of a condo managed by NNJ, I had to pay a $ 250 move out security deposit. Nothing was damaged when I moved and I was told that I would receive the deposit back. This was back in November. It has now been 2 and a half months and I’ve sent over a dozen emails to Cheryl trying to get the money back but have yet to receive it. Cannot even get a reply. This company is a disaster and not well managed. If you can’t even reply to an email in months how can you manage a property.
Edit: Update: 3 weeks after writing this review and over 3 months since moving I have finally received check. I was advised that the process for moving has been changed, and the check will now be held rather than cashed; however, I cannot confirm this. I still standby this review as it was the only means of actually getting someone to email me back.

If you CAN NOT send eStatement in the year 2015, quit your damn business. You just cost homeowners more money!
I’ve been asking and asking for eStatements and still got paper statements in the mail. First I couldn’t create an online account with the information provided like street number printed on paper statement. The person in charge of my community said she would work with accounting but then kept sending me the same useless information I already knew. Couple months later in 2015 their system was upgraded, I went through their online process to opt for eStatement and 5 month laters still paper mail. Very frustrated.
I think this NNJ is owned or partner with Associa which is a bigger company but their IT support sucks. I requested their help with this issue and they’re been passing me around. I felt like talking to idiots.
2 months ago I almost burst out in tears when I saw another property’s HOA statement was changed, with the Associa logo on it.
Beside this estatement issue, they always seemed to be busy whenever I called them for other issues.
(Life has taught/​force me to good record keeping and the sight of boxes and boxes of paperwork drive me to the Cloud. I have to scan and e-​store all paperwork; the statement via email saves me scanning time, readable, and takes up less kbyte than my scan version.)

Terrible management company.
They never take care of issues, always have excuse.
I do not recommend this company to your service.

Cockroaches are in our building at the Cerro Vista homes! Maria Wright is choosing not to fix the problem that she has been notified about for 8 days now. The building also has a huge trash issue from homeless people getting in the dumpsters and making a mess. The dumpsters are not locked and have no lid on them. They totally side stepped all of these concerns and wrote a homemade letter please put your trash in bins! Thats not fixing the problem! I work for a hospital and I know this is a major health violation. Disgusted with this place that’s why I contacted the health dept!

Just received a second notice via signed certified mail for a violation to remove 2 potted plants from the railing wall that surrounds my patio (or put drip pans under them). Not a big deal. I simply moved the pots off the rail onto my patio.
The problem is I never received a first notice and the letter was very threatening and said legal action would be taken.
As a new homeowner, this is quite concerning. I have lived in the complex for 3 months and already the HOA wants to sue me? For having pots on my patio railing?
I am upset by the tone of the letter and even more worried by the other reviews.
Way to make a new homeowner feel welcome!
PS…don’t worry about the huge looming dead tree next to my neighbors back patio. With a good rain and a little wind, that thing is coming down on my patio railing you are so worried about.

As a property manager THIS COMPANY IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST I’VE EVER HAD TO WOIRK WITH.
This year alone I’ve been without hot water several times (probably 5). Once was for 4 days straight because they couldn’t slab leaked fixed so they made everyone in the complex suffer.
The most recent problem is that we had someone fumigate the buildings which required thee gas to be turned off and everyone to move out Wednesday and then turned back on back on Friday when the work was complete.
1. The pest company Your Way Fumigation Inc. was the contracted company chosen to do the work. Let’s just say I have some other issues about this company which I will address in their own review…
2. The bigger issue is that no one thought far ahead to have SDG&E back once the work was complete to have the hot water turned back on.
So I called Saturday AM at 820 to try to figure out what was going on and got a call back that the water will be on between 8am-​5pm. Ok, take your time why don’t you. Whatever, I’ll be gone the rest of the day.
Last night, Sunday, 1am still no hot water — left a message.
This morning 11am, still no hot water call back.
a. Sir the hot water will not be on until Monday. Unaceptable you need to have someone call me back.
b. Call back: Sir, we no longer service your property as of today. You need to call your new property manager.
REALLY??? So what you’re really saying is you took our money (again) provided shitty customer service (again) and did nothing to help the situation while you were contracted because you’re Contract was ending?

If you are considering using this outfit as your property manager… think twice. You have been warned.

When I hear from this company, 9 times out of 10, it’s a strangely accusatory email notifying me that they have completely screwed up, but won’t be admitting fault or fixing the problem. A few real examples…
1) «The security company we hired and the security devices we installed didn’t work, so all of your stuff got stolen from your locked storage unit. Not our fault. Contact the police.»
2) «Whoops. We accidentally broke a bunch of the pipes in your parking garage and all of your cars and storage units were flooded. Not our fault. We recommend you only store waterproof items down there.» That was seriously their recommendation, like I was an idiot for storing anything other than an umbrella in my storage unit.
3) «Yes, we see that you booked the amenity room, but we didn’t notify the on-​site staff, so they double booked. In the future, we recommend that you confirm your reservation with the on-​site staff.» Yeah, good call. By now, I should know that you won’t do your job, so I should do it for you.
Basically, their approach to property management is «shit happens and you’re on your own.»

I am an owner in the Capria development and have received pitiful customer service. I have called their office 3 times and emailed 3 different groups to obtain information which should be readily available. Thus far I have not received an answer or call back and this lack of information is affecting my loan eligibility. After reading the reviews, I can understand why and that I am in good company.

Have had several questions and request in to N.N. Jaeschke and they have always responded quickly and have been really professional. They are better than the HOA I had in Los Angeles.

WORST experience I have had with a property management! I ordered a lender questionnaire service with expedite service on ⁹⁄₂₈ for $ 500 USD which is just filling out 2 pages of questionnaire. The turnaround time is suppose to be 9 – 32 business hours and I was expecting to get it back by ¹⁰⁄₂. Due to the urgency on locked interest rate expiring on the following Monday I made an attempt to call the management office to see if they can process my order faster. It took me 10 calls for receptionist to pick up once and they started transferring my calls to the responsible person before I even finished my request. Sonia, the person who was responsible, never picked up the phone after I tried to reach her for 4 STRAIGHT DAYS! It was absolutely the most horrible experience I have had with any lines of services.

Shear incompetence no one knows what they are doing
No communication at all zero customer service and follow up!!!
Maybe they need different approach to be dealt with !!!

They’ve bit off more than they can chew. I’m not impressed, but will keep the details to myself as of now. Contacting the higher management to see if issues can be resolved. I’ll update afterwards…
Management took any issues and personally rectified them above and beyond what I expected. I was very pleased with their willingness to accept their error and help make things right. If you have an issue with their property management, their higher level management cares to keep the company honest.

I am a Realtor in San Diego and I deal with a lot of Companies like Jaeschke N N Inc,
and usually I get decent Customer Service. But there are the times when you really need an Angel to come and save the day and today was that kind of a day. I found Natasha Tafao, I spoke with her 2 times today and the two times I spoke with her I got result! she went above and beyond the call of duty and not only helped me and my client but she stayed on the line until she was sure all was taking care of. I want to thank Natasha very much because she saved the day! with her smile, great disposition and willingness to help!
