Any one in the San Diego area or visiting that wants to catch some tuna, pay attenetion. My friends and I went out yesterday on a ¾ trip with captain Joe, however we only needed half a day. Even with half of us being sick most of the trip we still called it an early day, because we ran out of room to store the fish. In a matter of 5 hours we caught 16 yellowfin tuna. I got sick and had to lay down after I caught my first two, Captain Joe made sure that we got the most out of the trip and hooked two more for me so I could reel them in. Captain Joe is a smart and great captain who has a great instinct on where to find the fish. The first trip I went on was in the middle of a thunder storm, where there was a hurricane down in mexico, and we were one of the few boats who actually pulled in a Bluefin tuna. I recomend him to anyone. No matter your skill level or experience captain Joe is there for you. I highly recomend taking motion sickness medication, even if you are unsure, don’t take dramamine, I made that mistake on the second trip as the first trip I took bonine and was fine all day even in the rough weather.

Captain Joe Epp is great! He is fun, friendly, positive and always knows where to find fish. We’ve caught yellowtail, rock fish, barracuda, and more, also saw schools of dolphin and even a whale within a few feet – that was exciting! The boat is clean and comfortable for those who’d rather enjoy a boat ride than to fish, but if you like to fish it has a big bait tank, lot’s of deck space and it’s easy to walk around the whole boat. As a female, its really nice that there’s a private restroom, too. :) Great boat for avid anglers or those who’d like to enjoy the San Diego sunshine on the water. Thanks Capt. Joe!
