Update: CLOSED They’ve closed their doors. Hopefully it’s for good and we get a restaurant who thinks customer service and the quality of the food they serve is important. I have a feeling that they would have done just fine if they didn’t allow their ungrateful and disrespectful daughter to interact with their customers.

I give this 2 stars, it was ok. Nothing to rave about and I’m still living after eating the food. To address the other reviews, the 13 year old at the window was not annoying and did not seem bothered, she probably just has a resting bitch face and can’t help the way she looks. I would be upset too if I was missing my best friends quince on a Saturday night to serve shitty customers after late night drinking. She does give plenty of hot sauce. They are out of things often. And my dog did eat the discovered fat found in my machaca burrito, he too is still living.

This the spot we go to Everytime we in SD. Hotsauce is bomb. Everything here is ok but the sauce is what make it so damn good. I keep askin how they make it but the lady won’t budge. My gf has an idea tho. Bkfst burrito-super good and huge! You’re probably like how wrong can u go with a brkfst burrito? That’s what I said the first time I tried it back in ’02. I’ve never stop coming here ever since. Most of the time I’m here because of it. It comes with potatoes but I like mine w/o it and I’m still full.

Having boycotted this shop when it was El Chile, I had a renewed hope when I recently(3÷30÷15) found myself in IB and hungry. The reasons for which I’d first boycotted the shop were still there, sadly: food, that while affordable, is barely edible, and for the quality, feels like a rip-off. I ordered an Adobada Burrito for $ 5.99 after having asked what was in it(pico de gallo, guacamole), and got it as-is. The wait was just as long as it had been previously(about 5 minutes) which was weird, since there had always been a line to the street before, and this time I was the only customer in the outdoor eating area or the drive-thru. I have yet to find a taco shop that provides good(fair) customer service in the South Bay, so I didn’t expect a smile, greeting, or repeating of my order.(None of those happened.) I got my burrito, paid my $ 6.95(burrito+tax+.50 debit/credit card fee), and made the 10 minute drive to the area I now call home. Ugh. I wish I could say«I can’t even…», but I did, and I’ll tell you guys about it. The burrito was as big as they’d always been. This one measured 8″ by by 3″ wide and weighed a mega 23 ounces. Huge. The smell was a bit off, but with there being so many different, and still delicious Adobada recipes, I still stuffed it in my face. First bite: a 3 ounce, 4″ by 2″ chunk of barely cooked pork fat. Like chicharron size pork fat. Out it went. That first bite also told me that the pico de gallo was old with flavorless and colorless tomatoes, withered cilantro and onion so old, it had turned yellow and sweet.(They were very clearly not supposed to be yellow or sweet.) Yeah, I took another bite. Gag. More chicharron. Otro, otro, otro. I didn’t get a bite of meat or guacamole until I had bitten into(and spit out) about 3 inches of seriously, the grossest burrito any business has ever had the nerve to call food. Of this monster 8″, almost pound and a half burrito, only about 4 inches of it was actually comestible, and what was, was barely heated through, gristely, and so spiced with cinnamon that I suspected it was used to cover up a just-starting-to-go-bad flavor to the meat(all of it, really.) My suspicions were confirmed later that evening. I will spare everyone the details. What a disappointment. How can a taco shop so close to la frontera get it so, so, terribly wrong? I got better Mexican food in Kalona, Iowa in 1995. Que lastima. My boycott continues. You should implement your own boycott too against this shop. Waste of money and time.

Nope don’t do it. I’ve been to this place 3 times and each time I was disappointed. Pros: Drive thru Open 24hrs Cons: Nasty food 1st visit i ordered the carnitas plate. The meat was so tough and dry I nearly choked to death while eating it. Plus the meat was bland. 2nd visit I ordered rolled tacos. Now someone please explain how u mess that up. That’s like taco shop 101. Anyways the tacos weren’t fresh and they were so stingy with the toppings. Barely any lettuce and cheese on it 3rd and final time I ordered a breakfast burrito that was the most decent thing I had there. But who can’t scramble some eggs and bacon throw it in a tortilla. Overall I don’t recommend and I won’t be going back

Wow should have read reviews before coming here. Ordered fish burrito. How could they possibly sell a worse product? Overcooked dry rubbery fish. Inedible I threw it away. Do not waste your time. El Amigo to the west or Armandos to your East for a 24 hour option.

I give this place a 2 star for the drive-thru and that it was open late night. I give it a negative 1 star for the food. Thus, a net of 1 star. Carne Asada fries and Carne Asada burrito– where the heck is the beef? Not only was the beef lightly sprinkled, but it was made up largely of pieces of fat and tendons. It was so gross I couldn’t even give it to our dog to eat! Machaca burrito– WTH, if I wanted only the tortilla I would have ordered the tortilla by itself! The machaca burrito was tasteless and mostly made up of onions. I did feel a crunch, which must have been part of the eggshell. Shiny Quesadilla– check out the picture for yourself and you’ll know why I call it «shiny». This thing was so slick and greasy that I would be embarrassed to even donate it to a homeless person. I paid $ 25.23 for garbage food. If you are in the desert and starving to death, you are better off eating the sand that you are standing on. A few years ago, this place was worth going to for some decent Mexican food. Nowadays, the only customer it should be serving is the garbage truck.

ok now I’m annoyed. Every time I come through and theirs a underaged girl that works she only gives one salsa for your order. ONE. UNO. Then gives you the dirtiest look huffs and puffs if you ask for more and she still doesn’t give any for your order of 5 rolled tacos, quesodilla and carne asada burrito. 0 star for updated review. Mexican food without enough salsa is like being served an incomplete order. I don’t even thin she’s suppose to be working yet. Waste of money and didn’t need this annoyance

Never again. We stopped by to get a quick bite to eat and decided to go through the drive thru instead. We ordered two tacos adobadas. $ 6.01 for two tacos, which IMO is unreasonable for this part of town. Anyway, after about a 10 minute wait, we get our tacos. They are big tacos, larger than most, but the adobada was disgusting. The meat had chunks of gristle and no flavor and was overloaded with fresh cilantro. The tortillas were microwaved and were even more gross than the filling. Even though I only took one bite, it took 4 toothpicks to get the cilantro out of my teeth. After the one bite that I ended up spitting out, I didn’t bother finishing it. Never again. Yuk.

If I could rate a 0 I would stopped by on my lunch break out of convience and was told they didn’t have any Carne Asada today, WTF Really??? I won’t be back, I don’t have time to waste at shops that aren’t prepared for customers.
