Used Unilocal to search for some pizza because we are from out of state. After reading he other reviews we decided to give it a shot. I ran down from the hotel and pick up a few slices and I didn’t realize it was a pizza quarter! Awesome! My wife and I and our two year old could not even finish two slices!

If you like pizza with no sauce this is the place to go. Empty pizza place on a friday night is usually a red flag i should have left. I see why they are closed on the weekends the only business they get is from kaiser employees that have limited options

I moved here from Los Angeles in 1981. Ever since I have tried to find a good Pizza. I had almost given up, until I found 3 good Pizza places. Simply stated Mom and Dom’s is One of the three best Pizza is San Diego period.

I’ve ordered from here numerous times. Not only are they super fast but their food is so good and their customer service is superb. Always a great experience. Also, prices aren’t too bad especially for lunch.

Oh god dont bother. This was another example of if the restraunts empty at 6pm then dont bother. I was greated without a smile which in a restraunt called Mom and doms doesnt resemble a family friendly restraunt. Their pizza is black and crunchy on the bottom. Thier was no pizza sauce im my large pepperoni. and the crummy mananager never swung by to see if we were happy so i feel compelled to warn his future customers/victims to go anywhere else. also the shysty owner charges for ranch for my crunchy burned crust. Lol. Just so the owner knows i do know good pizza. Manhatan pizza in encinitas. Luiggis pizza in mission beach. Bucca di beppo in gaslamp. California pizza kitchen in solona beach and carmel mtn. Ranch. Fillipis pizza in scripps ranch… Boooyah!!!

My new favorite pizza place. Came here with my dad for dinner and it was great food, friendly service and quick! Next time I’ll have to grab a craft beer with my meal(which is awesome that they have them). Definitely coming back! After I go through all my delicious leftovers that is!

Great lunch special. A slice of pizza is like a full pizza it’s that big. Free soda and salad too. Can’t beat that for 5 bucks. Tastes great. I like that they have golds peak sweet tea too. A little lunch favorite of mine, love the non corporate little hidden gems. Unique for the area too… because it’s not Asian food. Very much recommend this place.

Our Meetup users group has met 38 times since October 2012 and with minor exceptions this has been our Pizza. Mom and Dom are real people and usually present to serve and thank you. This is not a franchise. It is a locally owned business and, as striving entrepreneurs, that is important to us. You might say that this place has become tradition. Angelo and all the crew are excellent… as is, of course, the pizza :) Try it. You will love it!

This place never disappoints! If you’re a pizza lover, I recommend this place! Its little hidden if you’re not familiar with the area, its behind Arbey’s and across the street from the Kaiser parking structure.

UPDATE: about 5 min after I posted my previous review, the gentleman at the front thanked us for reviewing the restaurant and even asked my bf if the French pizza was okay. He offered him a fresh pizza slice from the kitchen. We’ve NEVER seen this done before. GREAT customer service. Definitely coming back in the future.

Excellent! As everyone said, one slice is HUGE. It was awesome to pop in and have the whole family eat for $ 15! Plus, the pizza was fantastic! Everyone working was super nice too.

The place do the job! I was looking for an enjoyable pizza and I found it thanks to other Unilocalers. Today was my diet«Cheat» day, so everything goes! I got a 10′ Pizza Pie. Chicken/Ham/Onions. Great flavor from the first bite. Tasty, fun to eat, well balanced. I felt guilty right away(in a good way). Pizza was completely gone. Why not four stars? Because it wasn’t an unforgettable experience. It’s the best pizza place in the area, that’s for sure. Crust was ok. Overall experience, good. Four stars well deserve. I definitely recommend the place if you are craving a good pizza.

Location: This is behind the Arby’s in a grey rock building. I think its also next to the bike shop. Park in there. Décor: Hard top table booths and table with chairs. Nothing too crazy. Has some TV’s for viewing pleasure. Food & Drinks: If you want a great combo of salad, drink, and pepperoni pizza slice. COMEHERE. Their deal was really cheap and the pizza slice is HUGE. It was more than enough for me and coming with a salad and soda made it less than 7 $. If you just want more Pizza you could get 2 slices of cheese or pepperoni for 6.50 $. It’s a great deal. I haven’t tried anything else yet, but when I get the chance I will and update this :). Happy Cheese and Pepperoni eating my friends!

Finally got to try it. Great slice if I must say so myself. Thick and big is the best way I can put it, not bad for $ 3.50. First thing I noticed was the delicious dough. It had an aged aroma and taste along with nice air pockets which is big for a pizzaiolo like my self. Sauce was good went well with pepperoni and awesome contrast to sweet fermented dough. Didn’t get a balanced proportion of cheese so couldn’t tell or taste the origin of it but from the little I got tasted mostly Californian. No doubt I’ll be back. A must try if you don’t want to drive all the way to the 15 or utc. Keep it going Dom I’ll see you soon.

So often when I talk about a place, I usually find the food pretty good, but there’s so much at fault with everything else that I knock off a star or two for the review. I do think this will be the first time I will have ever pushed somewhere up a star because of the high quality of all those little things. Because the food is pretty average. The pepperoni isn’t fantastic, but it’s not bad. Sprinkled mozzarella melts well, giving it a nice chewy consistency with every bite, while keeping things not too salty. But, the crust is fairly flavorless, with no corn meal, or sourdough, or paper thinness, or anything to bring it up passed that level of ordinary. However, everything else here at Mom & Dom’s is top notch. I got the pizza combo, a great deal that comes with a side salad, a drink, and a slice of pizza twice the size of a dinner plate. All of this for about $ 7, which is a pretty fantastic deal that fills even empty stomachs easily for lunch. A lot of places cost a pretty penny, but leave you wanting; this is certainly not the case here. That salad is very clean, chilled, with a nice cut of greens, purple cabbage, and sliced carrots; this made it nicely difficult to distinguish the line between fresh or mix. They serve Coke, and not from one of those horrid machines with 120+ flavors that all squirt out of the same nozzle. And you get enough ranch dressing for your salad and to dunk your slice into and add a little flavor that the red pepper flakes can’t. Plus, the premises are tidy, very welcoming(I’m pretty sure the owners are in the back or sitting on the side, greeting everyone that comes in with a smile for most and a hug and laugh for the regulars), and in kind of a cool spot(hidden behind an Arby’s in what feels like the edge of an industrial zone). So, very average fare, but the atmosphere, location, and, especially, the price, really do boost Mom & Dom’s up there for me. Not gonna lie, thinking about bringing my girlfriend out just so she can experience it for herself.

Luckily, I was warned ahead of time that the pizza was enormous, so I didn’t try to order 2 slices! This thing was freakin’ huge, 1 slice taking up pretty much the whole pizza box. I got the combo with a salad and drink to go, for about $ 7. Very good taste, crust wasn’t too thick. The inside of the restaurant was very nice, not fancy, but well maintained. I got it to go, so I didn’t spend too much time there. The parking lot can be kinda hard to get in & out of, but you can always use the backside & alleys to avoid the crazy Kaiser/Walmart/Freeway traffic. I will have to go back and try some of the other menu items, like Chicken Parm sandwich or Lasagna.
