Molly’s Hair and Nails

These girls are absolutely FABULOUS! I’ve gone to Molly and her sisters for 9 years. Molly has always done my eyebrows, Kim does my color and Phally cuts my hair. I will forever go to them lol love these girls!

I just recently moved to San Diego and found Molly’s Hairs and Nails in my neighborhood. I couldn’t be happier with my choice because Molly did an AMAZING job on my eyebrows. I have never had anybody wax and tweeze my eyebrows in such a meticulous manner. On top of Molly doing a fantastic job, it was only ten dollars and it’s so close to my home. I will return to see Molly religiously. Highly recommend this place to others! Very friendly atmosphere. Definitely my kinda place, I’d give it more than 5 stars if I could!

Molly has been doing my eye brows for 4 to 5 years now and I never go anywhere else. I moved for 6 months and I could never find anyone to replace her when I left. I’m so glad I’m back. She does such a great job! I totally recommend her! I’m such a picky person when it comes to my eye brows that I now only trust molly.
Phally has been my hair stylist for 4 to 5 years now also. Shes the best. I highlight my hair and taking care of it is so much work especially when I was out of town. I had to just fly in to take care of my hair because I didnt want to look ratchet! And I cant trust anyone else since I’m so use to her color, high lighting, and cutting my hair. She honest about what you should do to take care of your hair and I have to make an appointment because she has 2 jobs and shes every busy. I’m happy she always squeeze me in whether its early in the morning I would take it.
Kim is also great with color and nails! When it comes to an event and I need my nails done, shes the person I go to!
You wont be sorry if you try this salon. You’ll leave happy and return for sure. They also remodeled the inside. It looks so good. I believe the only down fall of this place is that the parking sucks. Especially when you do color and high light the longest parking across the street is 2 hrs! If you park infront there is no limit!

Molly, Kim and Polly have been providing me with exceptional salon services for about 13 years (since I was 15 and I am now 28… you do the math!)
Molly does an amazing job on my eyebrows. People are always commenting on how «perfect» they look. Back in the day when she was at another shop on University Avenue she used to cut, color and style my hair as well for every school dance, elite event or work related formal. He has done my nails as well on a number of different occasions. I have followed her to 4 different shops over the last 13 years and the 1 time I made a mistake of using someone else to do my eyebrows and nails/​Molly didn’t hesitate when I asked her to fix it. She is very nice and she will definitely treat you like family.
Kim does wonders with make-​up. NO ONE (Not Mac, not Sephora, not Macys, JC Penny’s or any other «make-​up» artist touches my face! You have to understand I do not wear day to day make up. The most I roll out with is mascara and eyeliner. Because of this, I never had an interest in learning how to «blend» eye shadows or which concealer to use where. A HUGE reason I don’t is because I am spoiled and I know it. Kim does my make-​up for a night out on the town, events or something as simple as a bday party where I want to look like a star. She has also done amazing hair coloring for me over the years. My hair is naturally jet black, thick texture and hard to curl. BUT Kim has brought my hair to platinum blonde, high and lo-​lights of all sorts of colors and more importantly we have done amazing things with the curling iron and bobby pins!
Polly has done several hair styles for me through the years as well. She has given me some amazing day to day looks as well as elegant looking formal hair. She has cut my hair several times in many different styles. She is available mainly on the weekends or «as-​needed» But some of the work she has done for me is truly beautiful.
I will have to mention that this is a «family» shop. They are all sisters here. I have followed them from working for other people, C’est le hair in mission valley (their old shop) and now back to this shop. I do not hesitate to use either of them for any service I need that’s why my review seems like I use all three for the same services. I am a family friend but more importantly a very loyal customer. I will post pictures of SOME of the work they have done for me over the years so that whoever is reading this doesn’t think it is a «fake» review. Also, I trust these girls so much that I have brought A LOT of friends to them for weddings, bachelorette parties and day to day salon needs. !
Over all, this shop has great prices and I love how easy it is to talk to them and get exactly what I want. I failed to mention it before but they also do nails. Lida is a lady that works there too who does great pedicure/​manicures. Kim has personally done acrylics for me.
