Miramar Memorial Services

First went to El Camino Memorial Services. The prices were out of this world. We then went to Miramar Memorial because it was close to the Miramar National Cemetery. They were great. My husband was a victim of homicide and they knew about having an autopsy and they checked on that. They helped us with the Medical Examiner ID and associated fees, and also with the cemetery. They were so caring. I cannot remember the names or who helped us, but I will remember how caring and helpful they were when I needed it most.

I called this Funeral home on Monday morning to begin arrangements for my Brother’s funeral. I spoke with a woman and answered several questions and was told that the director would call me back before the day was over. The same woman called me back about 2:30 Monday afternoon to ask more questions. She stated that the Director would want all of his questions answered before he called but reassured me that I would hear from him by the end of the day. I just received a call back after noon on Wednesday. I don’t plan funerals every day and was desperate for guidance in this matter and am pretty sure that most people do not wait for two days to start this process. Luckily I found another funeral service near by who has made all arrangements including coordinating military burial and Masonic rites by the time Miramar memorial decided to return my call. Go somewhere else.

I was underwhelmed by their presentation. They certainly do not come across as a family-​owned business. The representative did little to communicate empathy. They were competent and delivered services on time, but little else. And of course their urns and other products are overpriced. Purchase such items on line and save yourself a lot of money.

I would like to personally thank Lori Lukatch for her loving and caring spirit as she helped my family deal with the loss of a family member. We didn’t really know what to expect, after reading negative reviews of other memorial services, so, I came with my guard up expecting a negative experience. Not so here, Lori explained the process thoroughly, and a «closer» never appeared to upsale any additional products or services. Thanks again, for a very pleasant experience during our time of mourning.
