Josh is a awesome massage therapist. I just got a 2 hour deep tissue massage, josh was very detailed at it, I always gotten massages at other places but this was the best in my experience, josh understood my needs in my area from my shoulders and neck, plus my back too. Is you ever go to massage and tea ask for josh, he will understand your discomforts for your sore areas. Thanks josh I will return soon.

The worst. So over priced!!! I got a head, neck and shoulder massage and also paid for a 30 minute foot massage. Massage is stretching it. It felt like she took a pencil eraser and poked my feet for a half hour. Will never return there! Paid $ 70 for some poked feet and a few pushes on my scalp

Came here for a quick foot massage on my lunch break while in town for a conference. The place was a no-frills kind of place but serene and clean. Freddy had strong hands and my feet felt so much better afterwards. The owner(I think?) at the front desk was also very friendly. Overall, good experience. I would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable massage place!

You have to walk up a long flight of stairs to get to this place so my first impression wasn’t a good one. We walked in and just wanted a foot massage. They sat us in recliners facing a wall, covered with sheets and put our feet in a metal bowl to soak. I still wasn’t impressed. I didn’t like the atmosphere. However, our massage therapists were really good. It started with a mini head massage then foot salt scrub and massage. It felt great. I also thought the price was too expensive. $ 35 for sea salt foot massage only. 30 minutes. You could go to happy head down the street and get an hour for that price. Because of the message therapist we give it 4 stars. Dont expect a lot of frills here.

My companion and I had a couples massage. I became a little sketchy when we arrived and walked up the flight of stairs. Not quite the spa atmosphere that I was expecting or anticipated. There were no other customers, but we had an appointment anyways. Both of our masseuses were great. My male companion had a male therapist and I had a female therapist. My companion and I walked out feeling very relaxed and I would definitely consider coming back!

It was definitely easy to get in as a walk in. I got 30 min foot massage with sea salt. The sea salt part was kinda rough but the rest of the massage was enjoyable. After walking around downtown for the weekend it was just what I needed.

After flying into town and being a tourist for 1 day, my neck and shoulder were giving me major problems, so much so that it was difficult to enjoy my vacation any longer. I’m a regular for therapeutic and deep tissue massage due to chronic joint/muscle pain and see my own therapist at home in Texas about every 3 weeks. Additionally, I also see a chiropractor at least every 2 weeks. I researched spas in the area and read positive comments about Massage and Tea and decided this was the place for me(the fact that they state that all therapists are licensed with 3+ years experience also played a big factor in my decision, as well as that they are within walking distance of the Omni Hotel in the Gaslamp area). They also have an accurate(prices as advertised for example) and informative website as well. I am very pleased with my choice. They called and gave me an appointment within the same hour, and even texted me to let me know that they could get me in even earlier. Mie, the therapist, was interested in my health history and concerns. She paid extra attention to my shoulder and neck during the 60 min. deep tissue session, and let me know that I should speak up during the session if pressure was too much or if I experienced any problems. It was obvious by her confident muscle maneuvers that she had ample experience behind her belt. Afterwards, she even gave me tips on some exercises I could do to help alleviate discomfort even further and provided a receipt with her license number so I could attempt to have my medical insurance reimburse the cost. The whole experience was professional and comfortable, and first time massage clients or out of travelers need not worry… Massage and Tea is a great choice for a massage!

A life filled with airline seat hours for years and into your sixties creates a body that needs a little help. Things can hurt that you never realized were there. So 2 years ago I gave myself a life changing gift: a long massage every week. Yep, 2 hours once a week with a great therapist can do wonders for your body. This past week I was on the road again. While in San Diego I thought I would get a massage — help some problems with my feet and back and help me sleep in the hotel. With a little research I found Massage and Tea. It was one of three candidates. I took a walk from my hotel to take a look. It is a modest studio or shop. It was spotlessly clean. And the people were friendly, polite and respectful. I thought jackpot. So I got a 90 minute massage. The therapist was a wonderful and talented young lady from Japan. She gave me a wonderful massage. And as a bonus, we had a wonderful chat. When done I swear I could feel the blood flowing in my body. The energy was tremendous. I thanked her, gave her a very good and well earned tip and told her I might return in a few days. Tonight was the second visit… just just 4 nights later. I opted for a two hour massage. Tonight with the knowledge of my body structure and muscles, the same gifted therapist gave me an even better Massage. It was incredible. After two hours, I was at peace and totally relaxed. I felt like I had removed a decade or two of body fatigue Massage and Tea is a wonderful massage studio. There is peace within its walls and tranquility awaits those that allow the therapists to transform your body from whatever it’s current state to a relaxed and rejuvenated state. Just go. Don’t think about it. You’ll be glad you did. I know I will return. And I will be and feel the better for it. Thank you to the proprietor and hank you to my therapist. She knows who she is if she reads this… and with that… see you next time. Your are a talented and wonderful lady.

While in San Diego, I treated myself to a «spa day» at Massage and Tea. Mie gave me one of the best shellac manicures I’ve had and a wonderful massage! Sue provided helpful information on facial products they sell. Services were fairly priced, the environment calm and quiet on a Thursday afternoon. Conveniently located in the Gaslamp district.

I found myself in San Diego for a business trip and luckily stumbled upon this gem of a massage studio! They were open late so after my dinner I was able to relax and enjoy a great massage! I highly recommend if you’re in the area and are looking for an oasis from the city!

Went last night and had the most amazing reflexology foot massage in my life! Its right next to Suki Day Spa so after my massage I enjoyed a manicure and pedicure. The service was impeccable, the pricing you cant beat and this is the best place in san diego. So excited to send more of my guests as well as go myself! Thank you
