A small modest location but don’t be fooled. What we had was fresh and tasty, best of all the price was very reasonable. Skip the place on the corner w all the flashy lights and go up the block to Marcy’s

Today was my second visit to this place . Last time I came I had tacos, which were pretty decent nothing great about them but good to have a quick bite. But I will not list this place as my GO-TO taco place if I have to come here specially to eat, yeah but if I coming to mission beach I won’t mind having 1 – 2 taco . Well what brought me here back was mango with tangy salt and churros, which are pretty amazing . We took churros to go, they were hot b fresh and properly wrapped . Also if you book ur order online in advance u get 10% off Overall decent place

I was here a few months a go and knew I loved it but couldn’t remember what I had that I loved. I came by and had a hard time deciding what to get and I went with the chicken taco. As soon as I took a bite into it I fell in love. It was so freaking delicious. They have a salsa bar which is awesome as well! Definitely will be back next timr I’m in town.

I had the gringo breakfast. Not bad at all. Pleasantly surprised! I wish the inside of the building was cleaner. However we ate outside and the food was great

Good spot for a quick bite to eat after playing on the beach. My husband and I were craving Mexican food and stumbled upon this place. Very pleased and our tummies were happy. I had the fish taco combo which included rice and beans and 2 fish tacos. It was amazing. Simple and just the way I wanted it. My husband had the carne Asada nachos which he wiped out in 2 seconds. Great flavors all around. My son had the 3 rolled cheese tacos and loved it. All and in all very great food, overall great place for a quick bite.

Don’t be fooled and mistake this run down place for a gem — we found a dead fly in our food!

This place is easily able to become the #15 star mexican food restaurant in Mission Beach with a little work. With 3 mexican food restaurants on the same block, all they need to do is differentiate themselves by being a little healthier and a little cleaner than the others and I really hope they take my advice! A simple paint job, update to the menu, and elbow grease could easily double thier customers. The other mexican restaurants in the area alow holmeless to hang out and it’s drunken fight club on the weekends, by updating to service more of the locals in the area with what we want, light, healthy, fresh, simple, clean they would be busy all year round.

My favorite Mexican food place in San Diego. Never fails anytime I visit here. Plus the beach is nearby too!

Let me just say this… My family cannot figure out why people would actually eat at the Mexican place on the corner next to Marcy’s. That place was horrible!!! We ate at Marcy’s today and we were in Mexican food heaven:) from the California burrito to the carne Asada mini street tacos and the taquitos, we’re all amazing! Hot! Fresh! Awesome tortillas, and nobody in there. What!!! They’re all on the corner waiting for crap. The ladies are very nice in there too:) we will eat here every weekend. There’s lots more we have to try! I should have taken pics but we ate everything so fast. also it was super fast! The other place took forever!

first time at this place. it’s right near the beach and the rollercoaster park area. I’m not too familiar w San Diego so bare with me lol. anyways. it’s delicious. I wasn’t too hungry so I just got a chicken tostada, very quick service and the woman working the front counter was knowledgable and kind. the food came out in less than 5 minutes! and it was cooked to perfection… the one and only reason I give 4 stars is because there was three of us and the seating is typically for two. other than that this place is awesome.

Got the cali burrito with carnitas. It was big and tasty. You’ll pay an extra dollar for your burritos at marcys because of their location inside belmont park. Other than that everything is pretty standard order at the counter Mexican food. Buzzin by the beach? Marcys is for you.

This really is an underrated burrito joint right across from the beach. Now I know, a place outside the amusement park and the beach properties = tourist trap until proven otherwise, but it really was not the case. When you first walk into the joint, it is incredibly unassuming, with a few seats in the back and a colorful menu directly above the frying stations. However, each burrito is made from scratch, and I especially loved the warm tortilla flour, which was very reminiscent of the homemade tortillas I had when I lived in Kentucky. I ordered the surf-n-turf burrito, which is not on the menu, but I strongly recommend. The surf-n-turf burrito contains freshly cooked shrimp, steak, and a special sauce that was out of this world. The burrito may be a bit on the pricier side, $ 12 total, but it was huuge and satisfied all the authentic burrito cravings. Just be careful, as the burrito will drip and get everywhere. I had to end up scraping all of the left over meat with my hand, and made a mess everywhere on the beach. But it was totally worth it. Food: 4 stars *get the surf and turf burrito. Service: 2 stars Ambiance: 2 stars Price: 3 stars

I ordered a carne asada burrito and paid almost $ 8.00 for it. I was expecting a pretty amazing burrito for that price. Sadly, it was bad. The meat was old meat from earlier in the day or something and it didn’t have much flavor, plus there was hardly any meat or guacamole, but there was plenty of tortilla! The only good part about my burrito was I could eat it on the beach on this gorgeous day.

We had an early Sunday morning(7:30am) breakfast at Marcy’s, and we couldn’t have been more delighted at the delicious food!!! Our order consisted of a bowl of menudo, 3 carnitas mini tacos and 3 al pastor mini tacos. The menudo was hot, tasty and a homemade kind of yummy good! Served with a side of hot corn tortillas, and some lime, onions, cilantro and red pepper flakes to add to taste. The mini tacos tasted like true authentic street tacos with crispy tasty carnitas and mildly seasoned al pastor pork meat. The tacos were topped with diced onions and chopped cilantro. Everything was so so so very good and tasty! Service was nice and friendly. Will definitely come back soon for more menudo and tacos!

The Spicy California burrito will literally knock you out. Never have I ever been unhappy with my decision to eat here. Burritos the size of your forearm. Great salsa bar. And open late night.

I had a great experience the staff was nice and accommodated us in our order. I got a surf and turf burrito. Now that’s not on the menu but they said they could make it. The burrito consisted of shrimp, carne Asada, grilled green peppers, grilled onions, rice and sour cream. It filled me up. I left with a smile.

I stopped by here for an emergency burrito(I know my fellow SoCal-ers will understand!) before a long day, and it was right around 3 stars – A-ok! Parking: surprisingly easy considering it was a warm Saturday next to Belmont Park. YAY Menu: Seems to have all the expected stuff at a taco shop: enchiladas, allll kinda of burritos, taquitos, carne asada fries. Nothing stood out that I can remember! Price: Also really average. Good value for the size of burrito! Food: I got the California Burrito and it was good! Not amazing, definitely not bad. Seems like this place has some fans and locals, which I always appreciate. Bottom line: I am not itching to come back, but if I ever need another emergency burrito, this isn’t a bad choice.
