I have received your mis-​directed self serving message to me via Unilocal and here is my response to it… After take my case over from Robert Baumer and making
representations about possible outcomes all of which were
those which Mr Baumer promised, and earning close to 30 thousand
dollars full paid, you worked a settlement out with Ms. Viviano (opposing counsel) and when I agreed to it in your conference room you threw your arms in the air declaring to your staff «We closed the Ross/​Matsushima case for all to clearly hear and instructed me to sign the oncoming e-​mail in the next few days with all the agreed upon agreements. That e-​mail never came. What did come was an insensitive termination of representation with the ball on the one yard line. You dropped me unexpectedly hours after an all smiles meeting and hand shakes. Many many moths of hard work, huge overpriced bills for e-​mails, a few phone calls and streams of creative non-​sense with huge amounts of money being billed. All you had to do was e-​mail it to me and opposing counsel for signatures and it was a done deal. Oh no, not you… you had to blow it all up and take me back to square one in worse shape than when I first met you. You did nothing constructive… nothing that cost you money was ever done by you or your underling Jaime Cage except for a few hundred dollar subpoenas to places that have no relationship to my wife. She never got deposed and you never found any of her hidden business, hidden banks or hidden retirement money nor did you get any of the other 17 outstanding issues. I am 73 years old, in poor health, and dependent on my wife who has control of my created business to support me as thanks you you I am broke… no really broke… and that is probably the issue… you saw that you drained me out of all of my money and instead of seeking legal fees from her or allowing me to pay you out of my support funds, you saw that you drained me and consequently dumped me when I needed you the most. Now that’s the truth of the matter regardless of your non true reply to my original post. Awful and inujurious… BTW…I did get the MOA sent to me after I threatened to file a complaint with the BAR who in my opinion should take away your license to practice law and prey on others who need good legal representation. It is difficult to find a Family Law Attorney who has heart, compassion, care, expertise, experience and skill My case is a simple case… I got nothing, she has the money, my business and my Mom’s ring. /​/​/​/​/​/​/​/​/​/​/​/​/​TIRED of continuously going to Court for nothing. Last time a few weeks ago, I went again for the Judge to make the wife pay me what she was supposed to pay me a year and a half ago and never did. She repo’d my boat, stopped paying on our credit cards all in my name ruining my credit, and now enjoys a $ 40,000 a month income of insurance commissions that won’t stop because the insurance companies are paying my Corporation and has driven me to the doorstep of bankruptcy all because of two vulture lawyers who took all of my money
$ 120,000-+++ and today I am now better off than I was after the FIRST DAY IN COURT. THAT’S THE TRUTH. THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING AND RIGHT NOW I HAVE $ 453 TO MY NAME WAITING FOR MY SOCIAL SECURITY CHECK AND THE ORIGINAL AMOUNT OF SPOUSAL SUPPORT MONEY THAT WAS BEING DOLED OUT WEEKLY ALSO IN DEFIANCE TO THE COURT. BTW FELONY CHARGES FOR ELDERLY ABUSE WERE FILE AGAINST MY WIFE STARTED WITH HER STEALING MY CHILDREN’S INHERITANCE MONEY AND GAMBLING IT AWAY WITH E-​TRADE IN A MONTH AND HER GUN AND THE POLICE. SCREW ME RIGHT? YOU ONLY CARE ABOUT YOUR OWN SKIN AND ANOTHER UNSUSPECTING NEW CLIENT.

I mean no disrespect to the few negative reviews that have been made regarding the ethical and personal practices of Nancy Bickford and associates, but I would venture to say that there are more than two sides to every story and my experience was quite different. I’ve been fighting a losing battle trying to find legal support in my very complicated divorce. I couldn’t find the answers to my most simple questions and my pleas for aid were ignored by the judge, the administration and the so-​called legal facilitators. At my wits end, I called upon a Nancy and Matt Blado because I knew, having worked briefly in Nancy’s office as a high school student, that although busy and focused, she would find the time to fight for justice and get the job done well. I had seen it many times before and recognized the morality and delicate nature with which she addressed each case. As Matt could better answer some of my more complex administrative questions, I was forwarded to him and found his personality and efficiency to be ASTONISHING! Family law is an emotionally charged area, as very personal subject matter and situations arise daily. Matt had no problem talking me through my specific queries and letting me know what all the options are. I was so impressed by the ease with which they handled my inquiry that I was led to tears and relieved to have found a group that might be able to turn a new page in my case.

She will wipe out all of your bank accounts. There are so many great attorneys out there, she has a reputation. Shop around. I found out too late.

As I was looking for referrals, Nancy and her colleagues were repeatedly identified as some of the very top family law specialists in San Diego and the lawyers that other lawyers go to for expert advice. And Nancy and her team have definitely lived up to the reputation. Nancy has handled every aspect of my complicated financial and custody matters with savvy insight, determination and tireless advocacy without inflaming emotions on either side. Just calm, cool and a total pro.
If you want your children still to talk to you and to avoid a stroke from the stress after a separation, go hire Nancy.

Nancy Bickford took over from attorney Robert Baumer who billed me over $ 30,000 and got me $ 4000 a month and nothing for my Corporation After more than 4 months of constant working and billings of over $ 25,000 at least, I got nothing. Ms. Bickford notified me that she no longer wanted to represent me and refused to send the MOA offer to opposing counsel. After threatening to refer it to the Bar she sent it to me. I am now back to trying to find another lawyer to start all over again. Why did she drop me? It was never made clear to me and she refused to answer that question. From the beginning she told me that I was only allowed to send her one e-​mail a week. I am 72 years old and retired while my wife runs my business and I filed an elderly abuse case against her and then filed for divorce. Bickford’s job was to re-​negotiate for a proper settlement for both spousal support and for the wife to buy my business. Bickford got neither of these nor could she get my inheritance that I deserve. Basically she got me nothing over Baumer’s small settlement. I definitely would not recommend Bickford Law under any circumstance as she caused me loss of time, loss of money, and zero results.

I had a great experience with Nancy and her staff. My divorce was very difficult, and she constantly not only advised me very well, but looked for a path that was fair for my ex. In our original meeting, she told me what to expect for support/​alimony, and after a lot of back and forth between the attorneys and several court dates in front of the judge, we ended up EXACTLY where she told me we would be, and even my ex is satisfied with the amount. Hard to ask for more than that!

Having Nancy & her staff on my side through the divorce was invaluable, helping me to look to the future with excitement and anticipation. Your attention to detail combined with your compassion gave me hope in a difficult time.

I am in total agreement with Susan B. I should have gone with my first choice for attorney, but ended up with Nancy. I felt at first that I could trust her (my FIRST mistake) I paid her an outrageous amount of constant retainers during my divorce. I made a huge mistake at a vulnerable time in my life. The total amount paid to her is unbelievable only to lose my case and still causing me troubles with my ex-​husband due to her horrible work. DO NOT HIRE NANCY!!!

BEWARE OF THIS ATTORNEY!!! I am a family law paralegal who hired Nancy Bickford for a post judgment matter. She depleted my $ 5,000 retainer in only 5 weeks!!! I was horrified by her lack of professionalism and outrageous billing. I informed Nancy Bickford that she was fired the day of my hearing. She misrepresented her status as my attorney to the judge and got a fee award for $ 7,000 for future fees from my ex husband.
She refused to refund this money to me. She then took 3 weeks to sign the substituion of attorney form and billed me another $ 3,700. When I refused to pay her for all her ficticious billing she sued me!!! I blindly went through the San Diego Bar Association’s arbitration process only to find out that it is a sham. The arbitrators are all attorneys protecting other attorneys. I should have sued her for malpractice. I have spoken with former clients of Nancy Bickford who all share a similiar story about her. If you have been duped by Nancy Bickford, SPEAK OUT!!! The public has a right to know so they will not be victimized by this unethical attorney.
