I was looking to hire 2 caricaturists for my wedding. I reached out to the Launch Live Art crew using the emails on their website. A week passed by and I heard nothing, so I sent a follow-up email. Another week passed and finally I received a response with pricing info. I responded asking for their availability and a contract, but didn’t receive a response until a week later after sending multiple emails; no contract. I called a week later and finally got a copy of the contract… At this point, I was done. I felt like I was almost begging them to take my business, so didn’t respond. Not until 5 days before did I actually hear from THEM to confirm if I still wanted them to do my wedding. Huh? I actually really wanted to hire them based on the examples of their art work on their website, but couldn’t do it. It was too much of a risk to hire a company that was so unresponsive. How would I know if they would even show up if they couldn’t even respond to a simple email?!

Impressive! As an unknown artist myself(or that is what I think) I could not stop thinking: I also want to dance while painting!!! Last Saturday, at Harrah’s resort during the San Diego Fashion Week show I had the opportunity to see one of the guys from Launch Live Art working in action(I think his name was Clarione). Action means: dancing, dancing, smiling, more dancing, a brush stroke here, jumping, canvas rotating… and Madonna was the end result under the influence of one of her perennially famous songs! Just wow. My friends and are were equally impressed as we had never seen anything like that. Not only the end result was a painting depicting Madonna, but also it started and finished perfectly along with the song. For me, this was the milestone of the night. I am looking forward seeing them again at another event. Absolutely great.

I saw this show in Downtown Disney and the artist performing was Clarione. It’s a pretty amazing thing to witness. I got a chance to talk to him after the show and he was so enthusiastic about what they do so I ended up booking them for a private event I held. I was surprised at how accommodating they were(since it was last minute) but they totally made it work in the space I had my event at. My guests were pretty much amazed and I gotta say, we hired them as entertainment but they ended up being guests because they’re that awesome. Definitely catch them in action!
