La Tienda de Linda Vista

Amazing food. Very authentic and so so so good. The best tacos I’ve tasted yet in San Diego. The only thing I disliked was in the dulce de pan there were lots of flies trapped in the cabinet. Some flies around the kitchen, and cardboard boxes that can attract roaches at night. Other than that the food was amazing.

This place is the true heart and soul of the Linda Vista Community! This taco shop is makes everything fresh and always includes Sour cream and guacamole on its items like carne asada fries, California burrito, etc. which is great because most of the taco shops you have to pay extra for that, which you shouldn’t cause it use to come with that about 5 years ago everywhere. So if you have been disappointed by a Taco Shop and had to toss that food, come to this one, it will not disappoint. The Service is great as well, great place to go to if you go to Mesa College or live in Linda Vista, Kearny Mesa.

My bf has a few words to say:
«Them shrimp tacos and fish tacos be pretty good. Who needs taco tuesdays? Rubios be having it for like $ 2 or something ONLY on tuesday. Their Fish tacos only like… $ 1.79 or something. Like double wrapped corn tortillas and everything. «
well.anyways. This place has AMAZING tacos, super stuffed with meat for around $ 1.69. I’ve never been disappointed in all the times I’ve come here. As you order the nice older man in the shop takes your order by memory and cooks it right away in front of you. The food comes out steaming hot, I usually can’t pick up the tacos right away because they are too hot for my fingers. Don’t forget to get their special hot sauce from the fridge to eat with your food =]. They also sell Mexican Coca Cola with the real sugar and I always get one of those, goes perfect with the food. =]
I always get the tripa mini tacos, that is my favorite. I get around 3 or sometimes 4 mini tacos and this fills me up. We went here with a group once and someone ordered their ceviche and it is SUPERB. I highly recommend that also.
I’ve never tried a burrito here because whenever I come I can’t say no to the tacos, but almost all of their burritos are $ 5.49. So cheap =]
A+ for service, food quality, price to food ratio. =]

My go-​to clean hole-​in-​the-​wall mexican food place. i’ve only had their mini tacos but each experience has been just fantastic.
all are good: lengua (tongue), tripa, buche (stomach), birria (some kinda brown delicious meat), adobada (marinated pork), chorizo de res (some kinda ground beef), carne asada (no translation necessary!). not your typical taco items but you’d be amazed if you just give them a chance! and for $ 1.69 each. and their 3 kinds of hot sauces are amazing. one has avocado bits in them!
they also have burritos, soups, and breakfast items. and their sign says 100% Mexcian food. they really do taste authentic!
50 CENT CHARGE ON DEBIT/​CREDIT IF UNDER $ 10. and parking is limited, but there are nearby street parking.

OMG really great ceviche! very fresh and done in the authentic way. What this place lacks in charm it has in spades in quality and price. The other items are authentic Mexican food as well just haven’t tried them –YET!
They have a few plastic tables and chairs so you can eat there. Great place for quality food and fantastic price –local style!

This place is rather small & very interesting! The set-​up of the store is puzzling. Why would anyone put up a 5′ candy display where the cash register line should be?
Regardless, they have an AMAZING Mexican candy selection for cheap & their avocados are to die for. They are nice & buttery, and well worth the $ 1.49/each.
I agree with Betsy about the fly situation, perhaps they should consider a screen door instead of leaving the door wide open?
