Kensington Park Salon

I found a groupon for this salon and I am so glad I went! My stylist was Alisha and she did not disappoint. I went for highlights and I was nervous because it was a salon I haven’t previously been too and it is always scary having someone new work on your hair. I was seated at my appointment time and I told Alisha what I wanted and she got to it right away. The appointment didn’t take long and she gave me exactly what I wanted and my hair looked beautiful. She even took the time to put curls in my hair which I really appreciated. If you are looking for a new stylist I would highly recommend Alisha. I have blonde hair and she made it look very natural and beautiful.

A hidden gem in idyllic Kensington! In major need of some highlights, I found Kensington Park Salon through Groupon. I was a little worried at first, since I didn’t see any reviews for my stylist anywhere, but I did see the salon seemed to have consistently good reviews all around, so I trusted their reputation. I called and texted with Alisha to easily make an appointment within a week, and she also confirmed with me the day before.
I arrived at the salon (free parking!), which is cute, comfortable and very stylish. Alisha was friendly and warm, and listened to my requests to only lighten the regrowth (less damage to the ends). The time flew by as we talked and she put foils through my hair. She is super professional, knows what she is doing, and it was one of the fastest highlighting processes I’ve ever been through. The best part was, my hair looked Amazing when she finished. She even gave me some curling tips when she styled it. I was able to curl and recreate what she did later for a photo shoot. Thank you Alisha, you have gained a repeat customer!

I don’t know why they are hiding all the good reviews for Gia – what’s going on? She has bent over backwards for me regarding scheduling, she is seriously cool, and she has always given me a great cut. I wouldn’t go to anyone else, because she is consistently awesome. When we were there one time, another stylist actually shushed us, which I thought was pretty damned rude, but Gia was cool about it and still gave me a rocking cut. GIA – YOU ROCK!
And, seriously, why is THIS review being hidden?

I just got my bangs trimmed by Alex, she has dark hair and looks sorta punk rock, I just walked in– and mind you– getting your bangs trimmed by a new person is always scary– She did such an amazing job– and she was really easy to talk to. Im am def going back– btw– she was busy and still made time for me– great multi tasker

Gia is fantastic – I’ve been going to her for a couple of years now, and she always takes the time to give me exactly what I want. She’s friendly, very accomodating, and gives a great cut. I also had her do my hair for my wedding, and it looked fantastic and stayed in place all day and all night, which is a big deal for my fine, unmanageable hair. I plan to continue going back!

I was refered to Alex from a friend and she did a great job. I used a box dye on my blonde hair and it came out orange. Alex was able to fix it and give me a lot of tips on how to keep my hair healthy. I will def be going back in a couple of months.

So I had to get a Unilocal account just so I could write a review for Gia at Kensington Park Salon. I had never been there but it’s the closest salon to my house, and I needed a cut. I called the place at 5:55pm, expecting them to be closed already, but they were open. I talked to Gia and asked if she could get me in this week — she said she could do it tomorrow night at 6. When I asked if tonight at 6 worked, she said, «No problem, come in at 6:30.» I was amazed that she was willing to stay late on such short notice. When I went in, the place was super cute and welcoming, Gia was SUPER nice, and she did a great job! Done in 30 minutes flat, haircut looks great and it was half the price of my normal salon. I will definitely be going back and you should too.
