I got a livingsocial Brazilian blowout deal. I usually go to someone else but they were unavailable so I decided to go with him. He was very personable and I enjoyed our conversation, HOWEVER, my Brazilian blowout was AWFUL. I have very coarse/​frizzy/​curly hair. The Brazilian blowout normally lasts for 3 – 6 months in my hair and makes it look flawless. With Keith, it looked great once it was finished, but after my first wash, it was already drastically different. By the second wash, it was GONE! In less than a week, my hair was completely back to normal. I was so upset. I tried to call and left voicemails because I wanted it fixed and NEVER heard back. I definitely don’t recommend getting a Brazilian blowout with Keith.

Don’t depend on this hairstylist if you need any service for an important event or when you have to ask for a dayoff. He ignores your request for appointment, then after a week agrees to a date. Then keeps changing and cancelling. He does not care about customers. He must not need any. So avoid giving yourself grief, go somewhere else who actually cares about getting customers.

He texted– no apologies for his bad customer service and for not honoring his commitments– only to say deal with Living Social. Living Social was never the issue. I already paid for the service but does he care? Because it was paid he does not care if someone had scheduled the appointment as such, due to an important event or work schedule. No apologies. What a shame– this absence of simple business etiquette

Keith is awesome! He is offering a groupon currently (17 for male haircuts 27 for female haircuts), which is how I found him. Keith is officially my San Diego hairstylist. He took his time and definitely has attention to detail. He won’t let you walk out of his door if he/​you are not happy with your hair. He is talented and really pays attention to what you tell him you want. Plus, great conversation. He is most see!

Sadly I never got to meet Keith. I had an appointment made with him for a hair cut, using a Living Social coupon. I utilized the «new» google for directions, and was directed to make a wrong turn, so it made me a few minutes late. Then there was no parking available when I arrived, so I had to park quite a ways away. So this made me about 10 min late. Not a good thing, I realize. (I also have a service business that runs on scheduling clients — so I understand the importance of being on time for appointments.) The door was locked when I got there, with no sign of any activity. I
called and left message right at that time, and when I arrived home I sent an email. I have gotten no response. So… this rating is based on poor customer service and business practice.

Keith is amazing! I discovered him in search of a brazilian blowout. I now will go to nobody else. I have had many and he does the best job at the BEST price. He always offers great deals!

Keith did a good job with my curly since i had bad cuts from previous stylist and he took his time to straighten and fix it, also he did not rush me because of next customer waiting so i really appreciated that! he is definitely good at cutting men curly hair. coming again for sure!

EXPERIENCE:
I am sorry but I need to give a bad review even though Keith is such a nice guy.
I went to him for my Brazilian Blow out based on his deal for $ 99 and all the good reviews here. But not only I had to wait for such a long time cause he was running late on the last costumer, also my hair wasn’t done good that I had to go back to him again cause it was all FRIZZY again after one wash!
He was nice enough to accept that he hasn’t done a good job (might be his Brazilian material) with no charge to do it again for me. But again after 1 week my hair went back to what it was!
COMMENT ON HOW IT WAS DONE:
I also feel that he just paid so much attention to might roots, and not much to my ends, cause he kept putting so much material on my roots and just a little would get to my ends… and most of the time, if you don’t have natural curly hair and it’s just frizzy, it’s the end of your hair you want to get it fixed and look good… he didn’t listen…
anyways, I have a super straight 3-​inch from my root hair now and all the ends are super frizzy and I have to iron my hair all the time!
HIS ATTITUDE:
He is such a nice guy, and I am sure he would say come back again after a week and I re-​do it for you for free, but how much your hair can get… it’s all chemicals and you don’t wanna mess with those chemical a lot…
SALON ENVIRONMENT:
nice salon, nice people, very clean, huge window open next to his table so you don’t smell all those chemicals from birzilian.

I’ve been going to Keith for a couple of years now and he’s the only guy I let touch my hair… And I’m a hairstylist so I am extra picky. He’s always available and squeezes me in (I have a bad habit of being last minute) and really takes his time and has mastered my men’s cut. I love you Keith!!! :)

I had a Bloomspot deal to get a Brazilian Blowout with Keith and my experience was as follows:
After Keith began handling my hair he informed me that due to the huge amount of damage my hair had incurred from me letting my friend bleach it to put chunks of colour in, he would be processing my hair at a heat much lower than recommended for the brazilian blowout. He didn’t want to go any higher because he didn’t want all my hair to break off. Because of this he wasn’t sure what kind of results I would see from the treatment or how long they would last, but I trusted that he knew what he was doing.
That was kind of a bummer, but then he told me if I came back after all the damaged hair was gone, he’d give me a proper Brazilian Blowout for free! He also said he’d be checking on me in a month’s time to see how the treatment was holding up. He then asked me about my current hair routine & products and told me how best to care for and style my curly, frizzy hair. He recommended products that would help my sickly hair after the treatment had worn off — products his salon doesn’t even carry, so I knew he wasn’t just trying to peddle the salon’s wares and was instead giving an honest recommendation. And this guy knows hair!
Throughout the process, Keith left a nearby door propped open which helped vent the fumes from the product and prevented stinging eyes, etc. I have read enough horror stories about people getting keratin smoothing treatments in areas with no ventilation to know I am very thankful that he did that.
When I was done, Keith walked me to the door, gave me a hug and refused my tip because he felt bad for me. I assume he meant because he wasn’t sure how long the treatment would last (and maybe because I drove from Orange County to see him, which I would totally do again. I’d love to see what he does with a pair of scissors). I told him he deserved it anyway because he at least did what he could, but he still refused. I take that as a show of integrity, which I appreciate.
It’s not even been 24 hours yet, so I can’t speak about how well the treatment’s holding up, but even after the horrible humid, rainy, windy weather we had yesterday (and walking over a mile in it) my hair looks like it’s just gotten a professional blowout
All in all, I don’t have a single negative thing to say about Keith or Jean-​Claude Salon Spa, and would definitely make another appointment with Keith in the future.

I moved to San Diego county and had to find someone new to do my brazilian blowouts. After reading reviews, I decided to see Keith. He did an AMAZING job! I am so glad I found him. It’s been 2 months and my hair still looks great & feels so manageable. Keith himself is awesome too! I will be a long time client!

Keith is the s*** with a pair of scissor! haha… and AMAZING guy!.. I should know, I lived with him for a short time and he tries best always to be the best he can be. AND IT SHOWS… In his work and in his one on one relationships with his clients/​friends. THANKS FOR EVERYTHING KEITH, I LOVE YOU. =D

Keith is amazing! I went to him with out of control curly hair and he walked me through which products to use and how to care for it. He deep conditioned my hair and gave me a great cut, piecing each curl. Now my hair looks great curly and is even growing out beautifully. I have received a lot of compliments. I definitely suggest Keith if you are looking for a wonderful appointment with great results!

Keith is amazing! I’ve had two brazilian blowouts by him and they came our great. They really took the frizz out of my thick hair and have made it unnecessary to flat iron my hair. I’ve gotten tons of compliments for my hair after I had the treatment done. Even when I vacationed in the jungles of Guatemala, my hair remained frizz-​free! Getting a brazilian blowout by Keith has changed my life! I no longer have to spend 30 mins drying my hair and 30 mins flat ironing, I can leave the house with my hair wet and it dries straight and frizz –free which has been great because I have a hectic schedule between work and graduate school. Keith also did a fantastic job with my color right before my second brazilian blowout and it was the perfect shade for me, again, lots of compliments on his work. I’ve already paid in advance for my third brazilian blowout and bought a gift certificate for my mother who lives 6 hours away because a brazilian blowout by Keith is worth the drive.
