Kebab Grill is located in the food court of UTC. I was craving Mediterranean food so I wanted to give this place a try. I ordered the chicken kebab lunch since it was the most popular. Regardless if you’re eating at dinner or lunch, the price is the same even if it says chicken kebab lunch($ 6.99) If you check in on Unilocal, you get a free soup. I asked the cashier which soup is most popular and he recommended the lemon chicken soup. When I got my chicken kebab plate, I noticed that the salad covered like half the plate, making it look like there’s a lot of food. I was a little disappointed that there were only a few pieces of chicken, but the chicken was really good! To me, the rice was the best part of the plate. It was the best tasting rice I’ve ever tried Lolol I never thought I would compliment rice so much on a review, but it made me forget about the huge portion of the salad side so I bumped this place back up to 4 stars instead of 3. The pita bread and dip were not bad either. For the lemon chicken soup, I have to say I kind of made a face when I took the first sip. The sourness caught me off guard a bit. However, as I drank more of the soup, it started to taste really good for some reason. I still had to drink sips of water lol but I thought the soup was pretty good. Overall, I’m pretty pleased with my meal and I’ll be coming back to try other things and the lentil soup next time!

Great cost benefit! I had the chicken kebabs, which were perfectly cooked! The dinner plate has good portions for a good price. The hummus also is very good! The tzaziki sauce has room for improvement tho, but tastes good together with everything else.

Plus a half star making it more than A-OK. I happened upon this place while on lunch break and I couldn’t help but think the gyros looked good. There was quite a bit of a line which I took as a good sign… it seems that this place is a lunch rush staple. I ordered the gyro pita with a side of fries. The price was pretty good and the portion was decent. It wasn’t too little that I wasn’t a bit more than satisfied and it wasn’t too much that I felt gross after eating. I was happy with the flavor and moisture of the gyro and bonus that my meal came with the tzatziki sauce that makes a Greek meal, a Greek meal. The service was fairly fast considering the amount of people waiting for their food. I would definitely go back and try other items because they all looked good.

Kebab Grill has become ‘that one hole in the wall place in the food court’ to the place to go to when I’m at the food court. Right away, if you have been to the UTC Mall’s food court for a while now, you can see that there is a clear change in the display of this storefront. Its so welcoming now! What drew me in were the chalkboards advertising their ~$ 7 lunch specials: which includes chicken kabobs and steak kabobs. YUM! When I talked to the server, he told me all these changes was due to new management. Makes sense! The food came off quickly, and I went off to take a bite of the deliciousness wafting off my plate. What I got was the Chicken Kabob Lunch special, which came with Greek salad(I asked for extra to sub rice), pita bread, and this yogurt style dressing. If you are a Unilocaler, you have access to a coupon which allows you to get a free cup of soup: I picked the Lemon Chicken soup. At first taste this soup was a bit overwhelming for me. I usually don’t get cream based soups, which is what this soup felt like. Needless to say, the more I ate it, the more I found myself liking it. It is a bit more on the richer and more tart side though, so I would suggest eating it with the pita bread. The kabob itself was neatly made with tender, moist chicken pieces and cooked veggies, and paired along nicely with the Greek salad in the lunch special. The salad wasn’t overdressed and everything just made me feel really comfortably full– especially after a busy day of shopping! New management, I just want to give you a high five. This Greek and Mediterranean style joint has found new life!

I used Kebab Grill for my mom’s birthday party and was blown away by the quality of food and service. We had about 70 people — adults and children. Nestor helped me put together a menu that fit within the budget, and then the big day came; he arrived on time delivering the food and the food tasted fresh off the grill still hot with an exquisite taste. What was more important was that my guests were not just raving about the food. Thank you for making the mom’s birthday dinner exceptional.

This is probably the most basic«kebab shop» lol. Its over priced & does not taste that great. My salad had no dressing? Also the chicken and veggie skewer, the veggies tasted old! Also saw the«cook» drop a piece of bread and pick it up and put it back in the bag… Sometimes businesses get too caught up in making money and not customer service

In the Food Court area in the UTC La Jolla mall, kebabs sounded like a great game plan. There are all day plate specials that in general were around 6.99. Ordered the chicken kabob plate with greek salad, rice, and pita bread. Other half got the gyro pita with lentil soup. Since I checked into Unilocal,I got a complimentary lemon chicken cup of soup. The chicken kabob was juicy and tender, which is surprising since the chicken tends to be dry on the skewer stick. Greek salad was fresh and the feta cheese on top was creamy. Lemon chicken soup was a bit sour but that’s okay because it tasted awesome as well. Rice was fluffy and seasoned to perfection. The gyro meat in the pita was a bit dry, which warranted a 4 star review. The lentil soup was hearty and gave the belly a warm embrace as it traveled down my gut. Prices were average, especially since mall food tend to be on the higher side. Would definitely eat here if you looking not eat heavy, compared to the other selections in the food court.

Surprisingly in a mall food court, Kebab Grill has really great food. They make everything in house and the prices are very reasonable.

Compared to the lot of junk in the UTC mall food court, this is bomb. Food taste good, service is fast and nice, plenty of vegetation option, and the boys there are cute. They usually don’t take more than 5 minutes which is great because I don’t have all the time in the world to wait sonetimes. I usually get their soups which both I’ve tried are good. Their falafel isn’t my favorite but their hummus is soft and creamy.

The Kebab Grill is better than it’s predecessor«The Great Gyros». This Greek/Med grill is one of the busier food court options at UTC and for good reason. Good food, reasonable prices, and a quick assembly line gets you your grub quickly during the lunch rush. I got the chicken salad which was satisfying. Everything was pretty fresh and not overdone with dressings or sauces. Many guilt free options here. — Long line, but moves quickly.

Food is A-OK. Price is A-OK. Overall: A-OK. Meat seems fresh. Portion size is fair. Not the most exciting thing in the world but you are in a food court after all lol. One of the ‘healthier’ options for lunch in the area.

I never thought that I could give 5 stars to a place in a food court, but Kebab Grill is really a reliably good lunch option. They have a healthy lunch special with roasted veggies, tabbouleh, pita, and chicken shish kebab. I usually stay away from shish kebabs(not doner kebabs), because they tend to be dry and taste kind of bland. However, Kebab Grill makes a tender and flavorful chicken kebab that may be one of the best ones I’ve had in recent memory. The tzatziki sauce is just right and adds more flavor to the chicken. The roasted veggies are done just right where it’s not undercooked, and you can eat the onions without worrying about talking to folks in the afternoon. The service is excellent, and don’t forget to check in on Unilocal for a free soup.

Good place. Staff was friendly and food was good, the only complaint that I had was that they had NO nutritional information on the website OR at the restaurant itself. That was disappointing.

Generally not a big fan of food court food but checked this place out the other day on my shopping excursion($$$$) I broke the bank… and decided to have a little lunch here. The food was fast, fresh and good tasting. Priced right and the amount of food they give you for the money was excellent. It’s a great choice at the UTC | Food Court.

Kebab grill is a treat in a food court! I tried this place for the first time in December and now it is my go-to for fresh healthy carb free deliciousness! the meats are really tasty, tender and tasty. The salad always has fresh vegetables and the people who work there are very nice. The food doesn’t taste like mall fast food!

I dislike food courts, because normally the food is sub par and over priced. I was surprised and VERY happy to find Kebab Grill. First of all I was welcomed by the most beautiful and geniune smile. They had many options to choose from and I loved that everything was made fresh to order. We ordered the chicken salad and the falafel salad. Both were plentiful, fresh and TASTY. My falafel was full of flavor and not over cooked so it was not dry. The chicken was moist, and you can tell marinated, because it was very tasty. Service was excellent. You wait a little longer than other food court places, because everything is made fresh, but it is SO worth that little bit of time. We will be coming to UTC more often because they are so dog friendly and I am happy to know that I can come here for great food at good prices.

Fast serivce, good portion sizes, can make off menu combos like I got chicken, salad, half rice half humus and added shrimp. It was a little over 9 $. Across from the ice skating rink, lots of seating in the mall. Good food. Will go again.

Excellent value & customer service! I was craving grilled salmon during my shop/cardio routine at UTC and discovered this hidden seafood gem in the food court. Order: Plate including 4oz butterfly-cut grilled salmon, breaded calamari sticks, generous portion of Greek salad, rice & pita — all for $ 10.99 They even included a grilled piece of calamari with my order to see if I’d prefer that over the fried one next time; it was very tasty and perfectly grilled with no char. *Tip* If you are watching your salt intake you can ask them to go easy on the seasoning My only comment is that I would prefer sliced lemons in addition to the lemon sauce.
