I stopped in because I was craving a salad and I picked one out of the fridge… I won’t be back for an $ 8 box of lettuce. If you’re going to charge that, then I will be requiring more than 2 olives and a sprinkle of feta. A handful of olives and a good mix of greens then maybe you can charge that much. I’ll give it another go soon, but the prices are super high. But I hope I can get the bang for my buck.

Good food but the prices are a bit high. The lentils and rice dish is over priced for just lentils and salad. I’ve been in twice and have asked for a few extra onions on the salad or an extra tomato and have not received them. It seems that they’ll give you extra of whatever you want if it’s enough to charge you $ 1 for. That seems to be the standard price for extra anything. The only reason that they got an extra star was the food is ok and it’s convenient.

I keep going back to this place because it’s right next door to work and it is convenient. However, every time I go there I find I regret it. TOO expensive, for one. They charged me $ 4 for a small latte, and here’s why… the menu lists milk options as: low-fat milk, whole milk, and soy milk for an extra $ 0.50. I cannot drink whole milk because it is like poison to my body. I asked for low fat milk, they didn’t have it. I asked for soy. «No soy milk» she says but«we have almond milk.» I agree, because my only other option is to die from drinking whole milk, I guess. She says«75 cents extra.» Really, lady??? Interesting tactic to get more money? Then I ordered a coffee that somehow came out to $ 3.25, and she tells me there is a $ 3.50 minimum for credit cards. So I say, ok I’ll buy a tiny little chocolate chip cookie thinking it can’t be more than a quarter. $ 0.75! What the heck? It probably cost her $ 0.75 to bake that whole batch! Ugh. I get that this is a little local establishment, and I am all about supporting local businesses but, when they are nickel and diming everyone, it’s hard to not just make the extra trip to Starbucks. Then, perhaps the most annoying part is that you’re never in and out quickly. It always takes them forever and a day. When you’re on a 15 min break and you just go for a simple cup of coffee, ya don’t have all day to waste waiting on them to get it together. I have never left here happy. That’s all I can say.

We really enjoyed our sandwiches from this place. Tasted homemade but better and with more effort than I would put into it. Delicious! Thank you! Definitely have the pastrami! YUM!

I’ve never been here before, but work near here. It’s Friday, I’m starving, and I didn’t bring my lunch, which I usually do. I go in and order a tuna sandwich on sourdough. Pretty simple, right? Apparently, not. First of all, the lady making the sandwich did NOT use gloves while making my sandwich. I should have said something, but I was just too surprised to even say anything. She’s handling the bread, condiments, vegetables, etc… with NOGLOVES! Then, she wasn’t sure which one the sourdough bread was so she’s opening multiple bags of bread. I pay, come back to my office, and guess what. The bread is not even sourdough!!! Ugh! I was way too hot and annoyed to even go back to get another once, especially since she didn’t even use gloves to make my sandwich. I will NOT be going back.

Went in this morning and grabbed a Mountain Dew and a Small Coffee cake. $ 5.25 — Staff was friendly as they have always been however seemed a bit pricey for a small slice of coffee cake and a mountain dew.

Just attempted to order lunch and I was utterly disgusted at not only the sanitary conditions when Making the food but POORANDUNPROFESSIONAL customer service! After having witnessed money exchanging hands… food all over the counter and previous customers food on the counter all without the washing of hands. After I witnessed one of the employees attempting to prepare my BLT after using a cleaning rag and without washing hands… I stopped the employee and asked to her if she csn please wash her hands because I didn’t my want my food touched by unsanitary hands as well as requesting a change of bread that was touched. Not only did they refuse to wash their hands but the older woman who I assume was in charge refused to allow them to change my bread stating she was not going to waste it… nothing is wrong with it. When I refused the bread and asked for it to be made on another type she also refused and stated she will just give me my money back! VERYUNPROFESSIONAL. …you refuse business because a customer call you out on your unsanitary practices? Definitely will be making a FEW calls to the Health Board. .they need another evaluation! I see why people now go more frequently to the other nearby diners and deli’s!

Absolutely delicious. You do pay the price of a mom and pop shop, but the food was fresh and very tasty!

I came here for breakfast since it’s on the way to work. I really regret it. I ordered a veggie omelette and a fruit salad. It cost me about $ 10, which is what I would have expected for a small mom and pop shop. I did not expect them to not actually cook my omelette on a grill. They put my eggs into a small microwavable bowl and cooked them in the microwave!!! On top of that, when I gave them my order there was no one else in the deli but it took them 10 minutes to make my food. During this time they took 4 other orders, all of which came out before mine. I watched them as they were«making» my food and they didn’t start making it until they are finished all the other orders. Needless to say, I will not be coming back here. Any place that doesn’t cook my eggs on a grill, doesn’t get my service.

I have gave this place a couple of tries, and every time I leave I know why this place is horrible. First, they have the WORST customer service, and second way expensive! Today at my afternoon break I ordered a sandwhich. As I was waiting, I asked the woman if I could please have mustard on my sandwhich. She said okay. So, once I got the sandwhich, I sat down saw there was mayo. I dont like mayo so I went back in nicely, and told her maybe she got confused with mayo vs mustard. She was so rude! She said it was my fault since I told her after she made my sandwhich(which makes no sense) She was lying by the way. My sandwhich wasnt even made yet because she was doing the guy’s in front of me sandwhich. She was not going to remake it until the owner next to her said she would just remake it. Also, the menu does not say the sandwhich comes with mayo so I have no idea why she put it on there. Reading the Unilocal reviews you can clearly see that pattern, but nobody here is lying about how overpriced they are. I just paid about $ 5.50 for a veggie, cheese, and mustard sandwhich(I opted out of the avacado).

Stopped here out of convenience on my way back to work from an appointment down the street. I really wanted a deli sandwich on a good roll and some potato chips. I ordered ½ a specialty sandwich on a French roll, but was told that they don’t do ½ sandwiches on the rolls, only the sliced bread. OK, that’s fine, I got a whole sandwich on a roll and planned to eat half and save the other half for tomorrow. I asked for Swiss cheese(listed on their menu, along with American and cheddar), and was told they only had American and Provolone. I should have just walked away then, but I picked up a bag of chips from the display, paid my $ 8, and headed back to work. The sandwich was just a sandwich. Nothing exciting, 2 thin slices of turkey, 1 slice of cheese, a little bit of lettuce, a ton of mayo. Too much bread for what was inside(probably my fault for getting a French roll). My biggest issue was the chips I’d been craving all morning. After a couple of unsatisfying bites, I checked the date on the bag. They expired 2 months ago. Blah. Yes, they were packaged chips, but really, I would like to think that she’s checking her inventory or something. Something! I don’t know, maybe 1 star is a bit harsh, but I know I will definitely not come back here again with so many other places in the area from which to choose.

Judy is awesome. She’s really nice and is good at remembering her customers. Her specialty is anything with lentils and the hummus. So I highly recommend it.

Business must be really good here. Earlier this week, I got an early start in the office and at 1030 am decided to walk over to Judy’s Café and order some toast. Easy enough, right. Wrong. I walked up to the counter(no one in line) and ordered«sourdough toast please». The lady replied«Sorry. We are getting ready for lunch and we’ve already put the butter away.» I thought she was kidding. I laughed and asked again. She pointed me towards the Costco muffins in a basket wrapped in cellophane and suggested I try those instead. This shop is maybe 500 sq ft. which begs the question — Just how far is the butter from the toaster they use for just about every sandwich they make? I give up on this over-priced, slow-service or none at all deli.

Called in for a breakfast burrito and was told it would be 45 minutes because she was ‘really busy.’ While I appreciate the honesty, she needs to be better prepared for breakfast. They also charge 50 cents to use your card for purchases under $ 12 which is annoying since their prices are already high for what you get.

I’ve been a regular at Judy’s for quite some years now as its in a very convenient location, right by my job. Their lentil soup is to die for! I also love the turkey sandwich. the owner is such a sweetheart! My order always comes out prompt and hot and ready to be enjoyed by me! I will be loyal to this deli for a lifetime.

The Owner, a smallish adorable lady took my order over the phone and detected that I really wanted sliced avocado rather than the prepackaged guac on the menu. When I got there, she actually went back into the fridge and split her personal avocado with me. I’m sure she doesn’t do this for everyone but it was such a nice gesture that I paid the(perhaps steep) $ 10 for the chef salad and tipped as well. If you work in one of the many buildings around here, the food is reliable and the ownership(while visibly overwhelmed around lunchtime) truly cares about her customers. It’s convenient and in my experience, fresh food. Perfect for me.

They can never get an order right. The owner is rude and has TERRIBLE customer service. I love to give my business to smaller shops, but this place doesn’t have it together!

Judy’s café is a good place to sit and have coffee/lunch. I only had a latte, no food – so I can’t comment on anything other than that. The latte was good, and decently priced. The wifi was being spotty, which was a bummer, but at least they have free WiFi when it does work!

Food is OK. VERYPRICEY. $ 5.75 for a Medium sized Sub ehh I’m just thankful their right across the street from my school, the people that work there are sometimes friendly, but I was confused when we ordered food because it was lunchtime. and when the lady made our food she didn’t even tell us it was ready until I(the fat and hungry person that I was) kept staring at her and wondering and asking my classmates if that was ours? The philly cheese steak was OKAY, it wasn’t even BOMB status. I tell you what though, their coffee bar is REALLY good! try the Hazelmocha! mmm! I only come here when I’m too lazy to DRIVE somewhere else, but still they need to work on customer service.
