Sounds like a great place from the outside. Go inside and all you smell is cigarettes. I walked in and walked out.

Soooo it’s Monday night and my girl and I wanted some good old fashion chicken wings since we get fat attacks from time to time!!! After some consideration we remembered that JT has wing night for such an affordable price!!! Haven’t been here for a year or so but I must say they stepped it up! We walked in was immediately greeted by the bartender and felt welcomed! For a dive bar this felt great! We ordered drinks and daw some familiar faces(hi foster). Anyways I always come here and order my wings naked woth suace on the side since they have such a great suace selection!!! (You have to try all of them! Including the tarter tots!) But you ask why do I write this? Because not just the food was on point! But the service was!!! Our server was amazing! That damn son of a gun checked on us many times! We like seating in the back and normally not that much traffic come back here due to the festivities inside! But I forgot what his name was I think it was Taylor! Taylor was awesome!!! It’s the little things that count and that dude made it happen. Thanks man! I hope your reading because I don’t know if you Unilocal or not. But if you are, thanks to you !! JT PUBs has a repeat customer!!! Ps If you guys are lucky enough to come when VIC is there! He is a God damnnn magician! !! Literally! !! Damn it! ! Life is not the same! Who am i? To rap it up! Looking to have a great date night or a fun time with friends? Bring dat ass here boy!!!

It’s a dive bar. What more can one say about a bar. Especially if one does not consume liquor.

First time there tonight. Went after the SDSU game with a friend who is somehow a «regular» there. I’m torn between 3 and 4 stars because for the purpose of karaōke this place is good. Nothing is worse than waiting 40 minutes to sing a song and this didn’t happen at this place. And it’s a Saturday night! The wait is reasonable and I love the many tvs across the room, making it easy for people to sing from wherever they are. There’s no server apparently so guess you just go the bar and order and that’s what we did. And that’s when my review drops to a 3 star. You see, I’m not that picky. I drink wine and beer. But as a Brazilian, I feel I can be critical to drinks and foods that are typical to my country. I was born and raised drinking/eating it after all. Their drink menu has a Caipirinha, which Is a very traditional Brazilian drink. I was so surprised that I didn’t even want to see the rest. You don’t find this drink often because people simply don’t know how to make it. Well, so didn’t she. Let’s me tell you guys how you do it: You cut lime wedges and muddle it with white sugar. Then you add Cachaca(and if you don’t have real Cachaca, forget it). Add ice. Shake it. Top it with MAYBE a tiny tad of water(for Americans who are not used to the strength of the drink or if you want to save liquor) and that’s it. This is it and if it’s not prepared like this, it’s not caipirinha. Short glass, pieces of lime floating around, even the whole lime all smashed, it’s fine too. Strong like a tequila drink. Got it?! The drink I had was served in a tall glass, had no traces of lime in it(aside for the wedge garnishing it by the glass rim), and it had so much water in it it was sad. Please, don’t try to sell such traditional drink with such low quality. Now Americans are gonna try it and think caipirinhas suck. At least the price was right. For $ 6, it could have been at least authentic. You’re welcome.

Horrible experience. JT stands for Just Turrible. I went there for breakfast. The breakfast was pre made. Had a bacon burrito. Everything was dry. The bartender barely paid attention to us to see if we were cool on drinks. The whole vibe was just awful. I don’t know how they are at night, but I know how they are in the morning. Turrible. That’s not a typo.

It’s a dark place with a bright lively crowd. Drinks are cheap and so is any food. They also have karaōke every night which was a fun thing to participate in. Their bartenders are friendly and the DJ was awesome aswell. They love their college football.

I’ve come here on several occasions and always enjoyed myself. The happy hour prices are great and I really like the food. The sliders are deeelishus! The theme nights are fun, trivia was fun and so was karaōke. Great place to chill with friends and make new ones! Also… play corn hole or pool in the back.

Dive bar with GasLamp prices. Damn, I love me a good dive but paying $ 8 for a cocktail and $ 7.50 for a large beer is ridiculous! Went on karaōke night and man it was loud. The nice part about JT’s is the outdoor patio. Sure it’s mainly for the smokers but the music was much better than the singers inside and there is a pool table. Another bonus is a bunch of tvs around so you don’t miss any of the games. Would I go back? That’s a big Maybe. It pains me to overpay for drinks and still get the slow service from the bar. If you aren’t a regular, expect to be ignored at the bar for a good 10 minutes… then get your $ 20’s out for 2 drinks! Haha. I’m mixed on my star rating: Minus a star for bar service Minus a star for drink prices Minus a star for questionable parking One star for ambiance and patio One star for serving food(although I didn’t have any).

Great vibe, good music. I love that they have beerpong here! Beer is pretty cheap and it’s not too far from my house. Crowds here are mellow and the food selection is not too bad. I’ll definitely be back!

I am new to the neighborhood, and came in for Taco Tuesday which turned out to be a great choice for me. I thought the Tacos were very good. The portions were very generous and inexpensive at $ 1 each. A great value for price. The staff was quite friendly and each staff member I spoke with seemed to enjoy what they were doing. I received excellent service! They offer various other special deals throughout the week to keep you coming back for more. Come check it out for yourself!

Well as i look at the reviews i think this must bea a cool place to go. My wife is coming up on here 30th Birthday and wanted to keep it low key after the dinner and i called to ask a few questions and the lady that answer was just very short and could care less. My wife has celiacs and can not have Gluten. I know its hard at bars and i wanted to find out what kind of food they had. I guess the lady that answered was not in the mood to talk. I got i dont know its bar food. Ok so hamburgers or just fried stuff? All you know bar food. Ok then keep your bar FOOD. We will go somewhere else. If im getting treated like that over the phone. Scared to see what happens when we get there. First and last impression.

Great place to hang out as a local! We always meet fun people and the drinks & food are great! The fish & chips are SO good! Also, the quiche is so yummy if you are there for an early football game. Pool tables out back ant tv’s with all the sports games. This is our local go-to! Happy we found this hidden gem!

I visited JT’s Pub with a few friends on Halloween and it ended up being a pretty fun night. There were lots of people in costume so we didn’t feel out of place. We were lucky enough to snag a table and ended up ordering some food to go with our drinks. While my garlic fries were a gigantic portion that could feed a small army, I was disappointed in the lack of flavor. It seems that they focused more on quantity than quality. My friend was also underwhelmed by her deep fried mushrooms. At the least the prices were affordable! I wouldn’t mind coming back but I likely will be skipping the food next time, unless I’m really hungry.

Well I have to give this place 5 stars for one reason mainly. This is where I met my girlfriend Julie. I was already at a 4 but that put it over. We actually went back a year later. We were there in the end of Sept. don’t recall the weekend. But I know she set it up so we could be there for the Live band Karaōke. I have to admit that is what most Karaōke people wish for. To stand up with the band and sing your song. We met there on accident. But overtime we pass it up we think of the same thing. I wonder if this weekend they have the Rock Band Karaōke. I have never gotten food from here since the only times we have been there has been late. But I have seen some of their plates come out. And wow! They are big plates. There is nothing left for the imagination. Looks like they just pile everything on. I suggest you come hungry or bring a friend. The drinks I will admit are nice. Not expensive and well poured. Like I say they don’t hold back here. I like the outdoor patio in the back. It has a tree in the middle right. And I mean a tree. Probably has been there for over 20 years. Big. It gives it character. Hard to watch the band from that side. So if you came to cheer your friends sit on the left. If you come for the Live Band Karaōke. Get there early. It fills up quick. All the seat in the back will be taken and you will be left standing. Also if you want to sing. Don’t wait. Sign up as soon as possible. That goes quick also. The last time we went we took friends who had never been there. And they loved it. Julie friend sang and she loved the place. I don’t know how to describe this place. Maybe a dive bar with an outdoor patio that has Live band Karaōke, that can make your dreams come true. I believe it’s a hidden gem. Not fancy place but a place to have great drink maybe some food and walk out a Rock Star.

A good friend of mine introduced me to this place because of her I became a regular. If you are looking for a place to meet locals, grab a beer, drink and food, maybe sing karaōke, play some pool and listen to local music from live band to hip hop dj. come and check, check, check it out. I used to come here every weekends Friday and Saturday nites and it is usually crowed so be aware parking sucks. On Wednesday a local dj would be in the patio playing some old school hip hop music that makes you want to sing along. During football season I heard when the chargers play they would serve out jello shot every time the chargers score. Score… As for the food, whatever they have on their menu is good especially the chicken wrap and tater tots. Drinks, not to many bars have angry orchard and guiness on tap but this bar does. :) also if Bo is around his bloody Mary is super yum.
