Excellent view, excellent service and amazing food! This is our go to spot in Pacific Beach. My favorite part is the build your own salad option. I appreciate having a choice vice building a salad and me having to request things be excluded. We spent about $ 240 including a generous tip… totally worth it!

Had my burger fix here this morning, I enjoyed it a lot. It’s been a while since I had such a tasty burger. View is awesome, people running, biking, skating makes you feel warm and relax. Definitely recommend this place

Love the place and ambiance, the food is tired alraedy, it never changes menu and it is not that great… Well probably the hamburguer does deserve a an ovation, maybe the chorizo muzzles too… You try it and let me know

I forgot to review this spot after a trip to San Diego almost two years ago. But, we had a really lovely first dinner here and were staying in the hotel for the weekend. Our server stands out even after two years as being great, and the food was all really good! You can’t beat this view right on the beach and beach path. It ain’t cheap, but that is to be expected inside a hotel and right on the water!

Came here for Sunday brunch before leaving Pacific Beach. My first impression was what a cool and hip joint this is. The vibe and energy here is live. After looking through the menu, I decided to go with the octopus salad and the short rib hash. The octopus was placed on a bed of baby greens and a light vinaigrette on top. The octopus was firm and sweet, no complaints here. The short rib hash was fork tender and the eggs perfectly cooked. My only gripe, not enough short rib or bread to soak up the sauce. I will have to explore more of the menu next time I’m here. Taking in the fresh ocean air and basking in the sun while you dine is a perfect way to start off your Boardwalk cruise. Not only is there a great view, they offer complimentary three hour parking. The staff is friendly and upbeat. I can’t wait to come back.

Parking is at the end of Felspar street — turn left(south) into the driveway, and then right into the garage under the hotel. Valet parking is free when you go to the restaurant(except for tip, of course!) Beautiful, modern atmosphere, with a color wall and a with a view of the ocean. I’ve come here with a friend, for lunch, twice now. We were immediately seated. Service was good. We ordered the Calamari appetizer to share — nicely done. We both ordered the Lobster Roll(sandwich) both times. Delicious, and can’t get anything like it anywhere else. And boy, do you pay for that! $ 20 per sandwich! Good portion size, with a decent amount of lobster, and a side salad, with a nice, house dressing. I thought all the items on the menu were pricey for what you get. But from what I saw around me, all were beautifully presented. And the open, ocean view is very appealing!

View was phenomenal. Service was phenomenal. Food was phenomenal. Wine was phenomenal. Had the mussels, Brussels Sprouts, scallops, and the Petite Syrah. All were just wonderful. Was kind of loud for a bit because we had a large group of girls next to us and they were freaking out over John Cena sitting next to us… but other than that everything was great. ½ price bottles of wine on Tuesdays was a nice surprise too.

Overall a good experience. The brunch was very tasty. Our waitress was nice but at the time they delivered the food they did not ask if we needed anything else. So I was over half way finished with my brekkie before I could get som Pico De Gallo. They could be a more attentive on the coffee refills. Defiantly worth going here for the great location and atmosphere.

Disappointing breakfast. Very limited menu and you have to specifically request things — salt shaker, jelly for your toast — that should be on the table or provided when your food comes out. Would you eat a poundcake bathed in a bucket of caramel for breakfast? If yes, then you might like the French toast because it’s nothing but a huge heap of cake — no sides, no protein or fruit, just a homogenous mountain of sugar that costs $ 12 plus tax. The Jrdn Breakfast is better, with two sausages, two eggs, some potatoes(they need salt), and a single slice of grocery store bread, lightly toasted, also $ 12. But you’ll have to share it with the suckers at your table who didn’t choose their breakfasts so wisely and now regret having dessert for breakfast, so your mileage may vary. Michael Jordan should take his name off this place.

1. Location is great 2. Nice building 3. Too many surprises on food, you don’t really know what you order. Franch toast is not really Franch toast, it is more kinda cake floating in maple syrup, tortia is green– not a problem if you let people know what their getting. Nothing is really described on Manu. 4. Very short Manu. Maybe good place for branch but if you’re really hungry ithis is not the place 4 U 5. However, this part of San Diego is not anyway a good part for food, most of the places we went are American type if food, oily stuff etc. Not what you expect in California. In the other hand, San Diego is amazing! I love the beach, loved diving, fishing, surfing and people are just nice!

Came here for a Sunday brunch date with the girls. Pros: 1. They have their own parking garage, get it validated for three hours free parking. 2. Their parking garage is also valet service, but its free with validation. 3. There was no wait, no lines. There were tons of tables available. 4. They have a nice outdoor patio with a view of the beach front. 5. Service was fast and friendly. 6. They have heat lamps outside but its still cold on a windy day. Cons: 1. Their brunch menu is very limited to the basics. 2. The food portion sizes were very small for the price. 3. Their outdoor patio is half shady, half sunny, they should have a canopies or umbrellas outside for those who don’t want to be in the sun. FOOD: + Short Rib Hash $ 16 (poached eggs, red wine braised short ribs, sauteed spinach, thyme roasted butternut squash) VERY small portion size. Usually hash plates come with potatoes but this one just came with vegetables. If we weren’t sharing multiple plates, this dish probably wouldn’t get me full. BUT I do have to say that the short rib was VERY soft and tender. A little bit fatty flavor but it was delicious. And the veggies and sauce complimented the dish very well. + Mama’s Baked French Toast $ 12 (bananas foster, candied pecans, whipped mascarpone) The french toast tasted more like a banana bread texture. It was quite thick but it was still good as well. The syrup wasn’t too sweet either. + Shrimp Ceviche & Tortilla Chips $ 11 (house made tortilla chips, citrus, cucumber) The shrimp ceviche didn’t have any flavor at all. We had to add black pepper and tons of hot sauce to it. But the chips were awesome. Hot, crispy, and freshly fried. + Cava Champagne Bottle $ 29 (choice of two flavors for mimosas) We decided to go with the blood orange rosemary and blackberry mint mimosas. The cava was a subtle flavor. Not sweet, just regular. With the addition of the blackberry mint, it was slightly berry flavored, not very much minty. And the blood orange rosemary was a slight deeper orange flavor. Nothing really special. Overall, it is one of the nicer restaurants to go eat at in Pacific Beach. Although I think their weekend brunch menu is weak. Maybe i’ll come back again for Happy Hour or dinner.

Been here a could times now, pretty solid patio scene. Spent about 5hrs here this Easter weekend on Sat night. Got a nice sunset and some live entertainment on the strand from 4LA goth Burners in a drum circle that makes the venice beach one look like lollapalooza. Had the ceviche and shrimp tostadas to keep it light, both were excellent. Also had the house margs and some of the mission can beers they had, also very good.

first off, I was surprised to find out that Michael Jordan owns this lovely place. I guess it makes sense with the name being JRDN and the hotel being called tower23, but i found this really cool! the atmosphere is awesome. sitting on the patio is amazing on sunny days. we came out yesterday during lunch time and were seated immediately on the outdoor patio, soaking up the sun and enjoying great drinks and food. it is the best place to people watch, located on the PB boardwalk. we had the best server, Eric, who took amazing care of us and made our experience better than it would have been. everything that he recommended was perfect; the mango chili margaritas, the calamari and the cheese steak sandwich. the calamari was unique in the best way, with fried broccoli, squash blossoms, and lemon all mixed within giving great flavor and yummy textures. the chili aioli that is served with it was addicting! I put it on everything. the cheesesteak sandwich was also amazing $ 16 which seemed a bit pricey but the rib eye chopped steak was tender and flavorful. the shoe string fries were a great accompaniment(especially with that chili aioli)!! Eric surprised us with a complimentary and delicious dessert. he was so sweet and made us feel right at home. he is the reason our experience was a 5 star one. thanks Eric!!! we can’t wait to come back!

This restaurant is a great spot next to the beach and has been one of the greatest fine dining restaurants I have come across until recently. The times I have visited this resturant when they are serving their full menu the experiences were flawless. Except for a recent visit on Valentine’s day where there was a limited menu and a bill that cost way too much for the experience I had. On my valentine’s day visit the resturant reminded more of a bar then a fine dining establishment. All I could hear were rowdy customers as I had tried checking in with the hostess. When me and my guest were finally seated we enjoyed the setting until we had viewed the Valentine’s day menu. The selections were ok, but nothing that really got my attention. **FOOD** For the three course meal I had ordered the Lobster Bisque, Petite Filet w/Lobster(+$ 20), and a Pablova(light dessert). The Lobster Bisque was great, no complaint. Then when the main course came out that is when there were some issues. First my guest’s order was wrong and she had asked the server to fix the plate. What she ordered was the Fisherman’s Catch with Swordfish, Calamari, and Mussles. She had requested to do ONLYFISH since she could not eat mussles, and the waiter said a extra swordfish would be substituted on her place. So the server took the plate back to the kitchen to «fix», but came back only after scraping off the mussles and calamari. So the dish she got back just had one piece of Swordfish. Yeah she was furious. A fine dining establishment MESSESUPHERORDERTWICE… on Valentine’s day. She was too frustrated to keep calling back the waiter to have her plate fixed. She was done, exhausted and did not want to visit the place again after we had left. I had tried to vouch for the place… until I had tried MYPLATE. The presentation of my plate was great. The potatoes were great, the Lobster was ok, the filet… THEFILET… WASOVERCOOKED. When a waiter/waitress asked how would you like your steak cooked? a customer is paying for that service. Instead of getting medium-rare as requested I got near medium-well.((It makes a big difference if one is familiar with the way steaks are cooked and the flavor they are expecting. MYORDERWASMESSEDUP, MESSUP #3.)) I was frustrated since I had already ate the other items on the plate and was frustrated my guest’s plate was wrong too. That I was already fustrated with my night. I just ate the steak and my guest felt bad because she knew I wanted this night to be a good night. Also, a second Fisherman’s Catch plate with the fish, calimari, and mussles was served again about 15 minutes after our main dishes were preseneted. MESSEDUPMYGUEST’S ORDER A THIRDTIME, MESSUP #4. After those terrible experiences with the main courses, the dessert had came. A light tart & sweet custard dish did not really surface any concerns. **POSTMEAL/DESSERT** A server/kitchen staff member had visited our table to check on everyone’s evening. I had given him my honest take on that night’s experience. He mentioned he tell the kitchen staff… no apologies given to me and my guest at the time. Our server had came back to give us our check and to box up the second plate of the Fisherman’s Catch. When she gave us the check she was polite enough to comp us for one of our drinks… BUTTHEBILLWASSTILLSOOUTRAGEOUSFORTHEPLATESWEHADRECEIVED. Is this place serious? A limited menu for a hefty price only to present messed up orders on a night where I was looking for a romantic evening, ANDTHEYMESSUP?! Did JRDN’s go under new management or something?! I had a more pleasent experience with dinner last year at a different resturant for half the cost. Yeah after seeing that bill I am done with this place. It would have been something to deliver my rating and review after a pleasent experience here, but my most recent experience had pretty much sealed JRDN’s fate for me. If I give this place another shot I better have some extra extra money… cause I am not paying for thst again.

From 4 stars to 1 star– went to JRDN last night for happy hour and was SO disappointed!!! So a few years back my friends and I started coming here pretty regularly for either brunch or happy hours. It is beautiful and so close to the water and their prices for the area are pretty reasonable. Beyond that I really enjoyed certain items on their menu. So last night I my friends and I arrive and I order what I always order for happy hour, which is the grilled pita. It used to have really nice soft bread(like pita but even better) and 3 sides of a hummus, artichoke marscapone, and a garlic herb spread. SO tasty! So since I always get it I ordered it and then in front of the waitress express to my friends how tasty it is and that they have to help me eat it. The waitress then proceeds to ask me if I have been to JRDN recently because their head chef has made a bunch of changes to the menu. Apparently for the WORSE! They changed the dish, now it comes with a huge helping of hummus(the most garlicy I have ever tasted) HUGE chunks of roasted garlic, sweet red peppers(which I didn’t get because I don’t like peppers), and feta cheese. Now I LOVE garlic and this plate was too much for me! The pita bread was just pita now, it was sorta warm, parts were soft others were a little hard(probably stale), the hummus was so garlicy I literally couldn’t finish it, and eating large chunks of garlic at first was tasty but quickly because incredibly overwhelming. The waitress says that the head chef has been making changes despite the feedback from customers saying that they liked certain dishes the way they were. I would not order that dish again, total waste of 9 $ because it just wasn’t good quality food and no one took more than a bite because of the overwhelming garlic other than me and I felt sick to my stomach after because of the garlic to hummus ratio. PLEASEGOBACKTOTHEOLDDISH! At this point, its highly likely I will be giving other restaurants in the area a chance when I want a nice place on the water. To other customers be careful what you order, I should have listened to the waitress who tried to warn me.

My favorite brunch place in San Diego. First thing I love is that they offer complementary valet and it is free for 3 hours with validation, everyone knows parking in PB is not fun! The hotel Tower 23 is beautifully designed. The view is everything! Right on the boardwalk and they have outdoor seating. The food is great too, I love the JRDN Breakfast. I always get a bottle of champagne with a little blood orange, so good!

3 stars for breakfast and 5 stars for bar menu. For breakfast, got ricotta pancakes. Usually they are smaller than regular pancakes because they can be a bit heavy. Not here, they were larger than regular pancakes and topped with a delicious blueberry compote. The edges were good — but the middle was doughy and heavy, of course. Note to chef — great recipe just adjust pancake size! For dinner, I split a few«small» dishes with a friend. Quotes around small because they are big enough for three people to share. We got three dishes between us and couldn’t finish them. The steamed mussels were more tomato-ey than I expected, but the sauce was very delicious with lots of seafood flavor. The shrimp tostadas had lots of shrimp, next time I’ll ask for a bit less sauce on top. The only disappointment were the crab hush puppies. They didn’t have any crab taste at all. If they had been billed as just regular hush puppies, I would have been fine with them. The accompanying sauce was good. Finally, the service was really great. We weren’t ordering drinks like most of the people around us — usually that means you get kinda ignored. Not so, we got great service, and people offered to re-fill our water glasses on a regular basis.

Restaurants in Santa perfect location right next to the boardwalk in Pacific Beach just a few feet away from the sand and a few of the shops around which is nice. I highly recommend the lemon meringue and is very very sweet but probably one of the top 5 desserts I’ve tried if you have a sweet tooth then the lemon meringue will entice you with each & every bite. As far as the service it’s in the lower quality this is my second time here in the first time the service was just plain awful we had added items on a receipt. But this time the service was great so neither they made some changes or I came on a good day. We had also ordered a glass of wine to be paired with the lemon meringue pie and actually went very perfect and I definitely will be back for the some more of that meringue pie. The serving of course is fairly large and can feed two people unless you have a really big sweet tooth may want to order one of these bad boys for yourself. The bathroom to clean the place is clean and I really like to see it in the cube area right as you enter as it’s a fun place to hang out and good for kids that’s unique design that is very welcoming.

We were in town for the Bears/Chargers game. Found this place via Unilocal. It was a bit of a drive from our hotel in Mission Bay. It’s on the ground floor of a hotel, but right across from the beach. We dined inside because it was a bit chilly that night. I’m sure the outside dining is nice. The food was good, not excellent. Our server was incredible! The wine list was pretty good. All in all, I’d recommend it and would definitely go back.

Love the cozy yet glam interior. Came here to meet up with a large group of new friends. The front lobby area was very spacious and amenable to mingling while we waited for our table. Must comment on how impeccably well dressed the guests were in this restaurant in general. Eventually our large party was seated at a long table in the back of the restaurant. Service was quite sporadic and a bit chaotic. We had one server for about 15 people and she seemed to have difficulty handling everything. The food was not bad, but nothing was entirely memorable. A great time with great friends in a beautiful ambiance. Would recommend coming here for drinks and bar, but not necessarily for a food focused meal.

We had a nice dinner here on Thanksgiving. I would consider a higher rating, but there were a couple of flops that really got to me. RESERVATIONS: Made easily just a couple days in advance. You can request outdoor seats. SERVICE: Really professional and great. Our server recommended the Whiskey Cooler to me when I asked for something light and refreshing, but I wasn’t into it and he was very nice about switching it out. He also recommended the Yam Purée, but then it turned out they were out of that(in addition to the Green Beans, which I also wanted!). Lastly, when our dessert came out, the apple pie didn’t come with ice cream. When my boyfriend asked our server, he was surprised that«they brought this out without ice cream» and offered vanilla or ginger ice cream. We wanted ginger, but they were out! Later as I was looking over the menu I realized my Bread Pudding was supposed to have ice cream as well, which it definitely didn’t come out with! When we left, our server also forgot to give us our takeout boxes. We walked several blocks before realizing and heading back for them. Another server I ran into in the restaurant was really sweet and gave them to me. COST: $ 132.84 before tax/tip for two prix-fixe dinners and 3 cocktails. MUST-HAVES: Crispy Brussels Sprouts, Salmon, and Bread Pudding. See my photos for additional info! * Whiskey cooler(jameson’s irish whiskey, lime, cucumber, mint. $ 11) — 3 stars Just not for me. I asked our server to rec something light and refreshing and this was way too boozy, heavy on the whiskey for me. I am sensitive to that so this may very well be a great drink, but just not for me. Our server was really nice about replacing it. * Pimm’s cup(pimm’s no. 1, lemon, simple syrup, ginger ale. $ 11) — 4 stars Basically a ginger ale, but I like that. * Crispy Brussels sprouts(nuoc cham) — 4 stars Loved this, an absolutely perfect char on the sprouts. I would give it five stars, but the nuoc cham(a sauce that was tangy, vinegar-y) was pooled at the bottom of the plate and its flavor on the sprouts that were soaking in it was just too much; I couldn’t eat those! When the sauce was light on the sprout, it was divine. * Roasted beets salad(arugula, pear, blue cheese, walnuts, champagne vinaigrette) — 3.5 stars Nicely done, but nothing too special to be honest. * Salmon — 4.5 stars Fantastic crisp on the skin. Very nicely done fish, just the right pink in the middle, perfectly tender. Seasoned very tastefully. * Confit turkey legs — 4 stars Very flavorful, almost too much(would be great to have some bread to soak it up and neutralize it!). I thought, even from our server’s description, that this would be the entire leg, but the meat was pulled and in a soup. Not quite what I was exciting, though the meat was very soft and had really soaked in the flavor. * Smoked potato purée — 3.5 stars Too homogeneous. I like more texture in my mashed potatoes(though to be fair this is listed as a purée). It did have a great thickness to it. The smoky flavor was too subtle for me, though my boyfriend could taste it and really liked it. * Roasted root vegetables — 3.5 stars Good, but not enough variety. Mostly potatoes. * Mushroom stuffing — 2.5 stars An ok stuffing, but our server sold this by telling us it had shiitake mushroom; my boyfriend describes this side as a grey mush with a slight mushroom flavor. Quite dry as well. * Honey glazed carrots — 3.5 stars Good flavor, but quite oily, and just a little too tough still. * Chocolate bread pudding — 4.5 stars Amazing! Very moist, love the chocolate swirls, toffee sauce. I actually just realized this was supposed to come with banana ice cream but it never did! They did go overboard with the whipped cream, with three little piles. * Apple pie — 2 stars Pretty terrible. The Apple was very undercooked, way too tough still to be filling in a pie. Didn’t come out with ice cream, our server offered ginger, and then didn’t have that even.

Can you hear that? It’s the sound of the waves crashing off the beach. Is there anything better than sitting right in front of the ocean while you eat? I don’t think so. The hotel here is absolutely beautiful and the view from their restaurant was spectacular. They can accommodate huge groups, like our group of 20 girls, giving us the best view of the beach. I love that they were able to bring all the food out at once even though we had a large group of 20. All the food came out fresh, hot and delicious. I ordered a salad but that didn’t stop me from sneaking a few bites of everyone else’s meals. Everyone at the table enjoyed the food, service and view. Only compliant was they didn’t have any options for people that don’t eat red meat or pork on the lunch/breakfast menu. I would have ordered a turkey burger or breakfast but my choices were limited. You can park with valet at the hotel and the restaurant will validate. Finding street parking in the area is difficult. Overall, definitely worth the trip for a unforgettable dinning experience.

1. Breakfast was BOMB. Best potatoes ever. 2. Don’t choose Thanksgiving Dinner here. Meal was cold, not much flavor, smallest mussels I’ve ever seen, and salmon was so rare it was like melted butter(not a good melted butter texture, as it had no flavor and was like sipping something in a thick drink.). Just do breakfast here — which is what they usually do anyways. Trust the dinner restaurants to do what they do best, make dinner. And here can be breakfast.

I was a little disappointed with the speed of our appetizers coming out and it was VERY loud for the aura it out off. From the outside it seemed a little more classy place to eat or a chill place to get drinks and apps but when we came down from our hotel room around 4:30−5pm on a Saturday, it was already slammed and kind of night club-y. Lots of people standing and drinking, loud, sans the dancing. However!!! The service was great. Our waitress was a doll and super helpful and fun. Also, the drinks were strong which was good but not overall amazing — just standard. We got truffle butter fries(PSA: they have the little skinny fries which half our party loved while the other half prefer the bigger steak fries) which everyone loved the butter and parmeasan on them. super nom nom. We also got some yummy pita bread with garlic hummus. What really took the cake though… like DAYUM… we’re the sliders. These weren’t just any sliders since that’s a common appy. It had carmelized onions, cheese, and a perfectly toasted bun. I could have literally made a whole meal out of those. To me, the atmosphere was fun but don’t bring anyone who is hard of hearing. It made for a tough conversation if eating inside. PB is naturally fun and upbeat so is still to be expected. What will bring me back is the view, the service and those mouth watering sliders. Real talk they were bomb.(VIEW: This location is right by the pier, sitting by a gorgeous ocean view, under the Tower 23 hotel, 3hrs parking validation & $ 8 for each additional hour). Not giving a 5 star rating since the drinks were ok, and I didn’t get to try any full meals. Fun place though!

JRDN… met and exceeded expectations! However, this should be $$$ for dinner, fyi. Not a casual dinner out for my pocketbook, but we went for a special occasion. I thought JRDN was probably just skating by with decent food because they are on the boardwalk with a beautiful view. NOTTRUE. The food was fantastic! We had: * Local Halibut cevice(deconstructed and delicious, bold, refreshing) * Salmon(market fish dish) w/mashed potato(so good!) and mac n cheese(made different daily) * Seared Ahi(wow! flavor was phenomenal) They gave us a mousse dessert for our anniversary — it was really yummy too! Even the service was great. I was worried they were going to seat us next to the loud bar, but they gave us a table on the quiet side of the patio. Very delicious and memorable dinner.

I must admit that we should have looked at the menu prior to booking a reservation. We went based on Unilocal reviews and pictures. We had our hearts set on the Lobster BLT and a more laid-back experience. We went for dinner and, once seated, realized the menu was not at all what we were expecting. It was more formal and expensive than we wanted. We just were not wanting to do what likely would have been a $ 300 evening for the three of us. We ordered wine and two appetizers to start. The squash soup and the coconut shrimp were fabulous! The presentation of the coconut shrimp was a delightful surprise; a hollowed out fresh coconut with melon, avocado, and perfectly cooked and chilled shrimp topped with a coconut granita. Dessert was ordered by one; the churros. I can only imagine how great the rest of the desserts are! The churros were beautifully presented, smelled amazing, and were devoured. We ended up spending about $ 90, were out in an hour, and ended up at a dive sushi place that was more fitting for our mood. I will return. For lunch next time, so I can enjoy the lobster BLT and the ocean view.

Best steak I’ve ever had. If you’re feeling like you can ball really hard for dinner, I encourage you to order the Tomahawk 32 oz. bone-in steak. It’s a HUGE thick cut steak that feeds 2, maybe even 3 if you want to save room for appetizers and dessert. It is pretty pricey at $ 97, BUT if you think about it, that’s $ 50/person if you share with someone else, and it’s soooo worth it. It comes with 2 generous sides(my personal favs are their mashed potatoes and the creamed spinach and corn). It also comes with 4 different dips, but IMO it tastes fine on its own as it’s lathered in your choice of rub(do the garlic rub)! It takes about 40 min to make; it’s definitely worth the wait. The steak was cooked perfectly medium with some charred marks(my favorite!) and each bite was as juicy and tender as the first. Came with 3 others and we ordered 2 of these bad boys. The chef was generous in giving us 2 different complimentary tasters – cheddar crackers with bacon and onion jam, and Asian-style brussels sprouts to hold us off while we wait for our steaks. The crackers were good, but the brussels sprouts were even better. The Asian-inspired sauce complemented the brussels sprouts so well. We also ordered the foie gras appetizer($ 15). The bread to start came with crispy bread sticks, a tomato-type bread, and a dark-colored bread. I wasn’t a fan of the tomato bread – it was too bitter and just a weird taste. The breadsticks weren’t that great either, and the darker bread was on the sweeter side and just ok, but the butter is really good. They have a handful of dessert options all for $ 11, but nothing really stood out to me, well for that price anyway. Street, valet, and parking lot(free after 6p) options for parking. Service was spectacular and ambiance is pretty cool and trendy. You’ll notice that a lot of people hang by the bar and there’s usually a lot of seating available during dinner time as it is quite pricey. I cannot wait to come back for their awesome HH deals as well as for brunch, but in the meantime I insist you ballers take the time to try out the Tomahawk steak!

Date of visit: 10÷3÷2015 PB does not have a lot of great breakfast places. There are a lot of places to eat breakfast, but there are not a lot of places with GREAT breakfast. That being said, I am a huge fan of breakfast and am easily disappointed. I really wanted to rate this place higher, but between the mediocre service and food, our last visit was at a solid 3. JRDN seems like it would be a much better place for dinner, so I’m hoping to go back soon and try them out then. Cam and I walked in around 9:30am and were immediately seated outside at our request. Unfortunately, it was extremely hot and uncomfortable in our original seats, so we requested a different table. While I understand that reservations need to be balanced with walk ins, I’m not sure why it took so long for our server to figure out if we could move considering there were several empty tables that were still empty by the time we left. I’ve had better experiences regard table swaps at other places, but it probably bothered me more than it should have because I was hungry. JRDN Breakfast. I wanted to try the bacon and sausage, so I asked our waiter if it would be possible to get one piece of sausage and one piece of bacon. Unfortunately, they don’t do that here, so I went with the bacon(duh). That was a little disappointing since a lot of other breakfast places will do that for you, but I get it. I was feeling pretty boring, so I got my eggs scrambled. Everything was pretty average. The eggs were not really seasoned, but the salt and pepper grinders were greasy from the last user, so I skipped that and just used the hot sauce. The bacon was just bacon, the potatoes were alright, and my sourdough toast was slightly burnt inside with a bit of butter. Nothing special about this breakfast, but nothing terrible. Mushroom Skillet. This dish came with two poached eggs, potatoes, mushrooms, arugula, and sausage covered in hollandaise sauce. For Cam, if you cover anything in hollandaise, it will be delicious, but I also thought it was pretty good. I’m just not a fan of mushrooms, which had a big part of the dish. JRDN Mimosa. This was an interesting take on a mimosa and I was definitely a fan. My only complaint is that I watched my mimosa sit on the counter for a good 10 minutes while our server was elsewhere. I even watched someone else pick it up, look at the ticket, and then put it back on the counter. Not sure why someone else couldn’t have brought it over, but it was just kind of annoying. I guess I could have also just grabbed it myself, but that would be weird. Overall, JRDN is just okay for breakfast. I’ve been wanting to try them out for dinner, so Cam and I will definitely be making plans to come back, but never again for breakfast.

Love this place. Food is amazing and decent price. The service is always good. They have a dinner section and a bar section. It’s usually always crowded when I go, but never a long wait. Their mussels are a must! So yummy. If you sit outside you can people watch(which I love haha). I also love how it’s right at the beach so when you’re done eating, you could just walk around and not sit in the car with a full stomach.

TIP: Complimentary Valet-get your ticket validated. Beautiful outdoor seating available and nice indoor seating if you don’t want to get cold. Nice modern atmosphere. Food: Lobster BLT JRDN Breakfast which is your traditional breakfast; 2 eggs, potatoes, bacon and sourdough toast. The food is not the best. The bacon was soaked in oil and very tough. Not crunchy is why I said it was soaked. I definitely want to come here for dinner and HH to try other dishes. Lastly, the Lobster BLT was just alright. I’ve had much better. For the brunch it’s a beautiful atmosphere to grab your friends, hangout and eat. You view is amazing of the ocean. The only negative for me was the food. :( Service was also good but sometimes I had to hunt him down because he was so busy.

Very friendly service. When we arrived we were greeted promptly. We attempted to eat down the block but the line was wrapped around the building… why?! But anyway, we came here. Was told we could wait 30 mins to sit outside or we could be seated immediately if we sat inside and we would still have a terrific view of the water. We chose to sit now. :) Took a little while for us to get drinks. Water came first. Which took awhile and then the mimosas. Which we thought was odd cuz we were right by the bartender and she was not busy at all. But our drinks came from the back… sooooo, ok. Food came out smoking hot. I ordered the breakfast sandwich. Pretty darn good. My only thought, the food taste did not match the food presentation. Although, really good meal. A little bland. But still a good experience. Would definitely come here next time instead of waiting an hr for food down the block. And the mimosas were delicious too. Just make sure I have plenty of salt and jam for my food. All good.

Came here for the first time on National Oyster Day, which they served for $ 1 a piece. They were delicious, fresh, and had great presentation. The venue is updated and modern, in contrast to most restaurants in the Pacific Beach Area. The patio is awesome for lunch or early dinner because it is right on the boardwalk. It’s textbook San Diego dining. The staff(sans one employee) is amazing. Kelly is super nice and friendly and the manager, who I didn’t catch a name, was constantly walking around and conversing with guests, clearing tables, and helping out. I’d definitely come back to try another lunch or dinner. Parking was easy because I parked in their structure which was free with validation. I’ve heard it gets full though. There really isn’t an awning in the patio so you’re in direct sun. Bring sunglasses and sunscreen if you plan on sitting outdoors.

JRDN is a very nice restaurant. It’s like someone took a fancy Gaslamp restaurant and placed it in the heart of PB/Mission Beach. However, due to it’s location you see tourists, college students, couples, and professionals. The restaurant’s identity can be deceiving — is it casual? Is it dressy? You don’t know until you sit and order and go «Oh, $ 80 for a bottle of wine». The bar is loud, the dining area is quiet. Modern and elegant, surrounded by cocktail dresses and flip flops. Plan in advance, because JRDN is on the pricey side and you don’t want to be the guy who falls short on his bill. If you plan ahead, you will have a fantastic evening. My husband and I were originally at a reserved patio table on the bar side, and it was SOLOUD that we asked to be moved. The noise resonates so much from the bar, you cannot hear each other. Thankfully, we were moved to a nice quiet table in the«Sunset Patio» and our experience went from a 6 to a 10. From then on, we were very happy. Our waitress was very professional, friendly and attentive. The charcuterie board was my favorite appetizer, and the 8oz. hanger steak with potato purrée and vegetables I ordered were to die for. Possibly the best steak I’ve had in San Diego. Delicious food, awesome view of the ocean and elegant restaurant on the whole. I wouldn’t hesitate to go again, but will not forget to sit in a quite area this time. If we had stayed where we were originally, our evening could have gone sour. MYTIPS: — Come prepared with $$$, don’t be one of those beach tourists that look for«a bite to eat» only to regret the bill they paid. — Make a reservation, you’re lady friend will thank you for it. — Get your money’s worth. The bar area gets VERYLOUD. If you plan for a nice candle light dinner, make a reservation for a quiet table either inside on the actual dining side of the bar, or on the quiet«Sunset Patio». — If you can get a table outside for a view of the sunset, but away from the bar side! Unless you like loud rowdy drunk people ruining your expensive dinner. Again, «Sunset Patio» section is the way to go.

Food: The JRDN Breakfast consists of 2 scrambled eggs, your choice of meat(bacon, ham, or sausage), mushrooms, and onions topped with Mozzarella cheese with a side of potatoes and your choice of bread(wheat, sourdough, or English muffin). The eggs were good and I liked how the potatoes were seasoned. 4⁄5 Service: Fast and friendly. My friend used to worked here so we got better than normal service. 5⁄5 Final Thoughts: I would come back here. The food was good and the view of the beach was beautiful!
