This review is 4 months overdue. Joseph Anthony made my wedding hair dreams come true for my August 2, 2015 wedding! I can’t say enough how happy I was/​am with how beautifully my hair came out! He made my natural red hair shine through with his highlighting and glossing! I will not be letting anyone else touch my hair anymore! Red is such a tricky color to play with and he hits it every single time — there is a fine line between auburn/​red (good) and fire engine/​Ariel/​rockstar red (not good on me — believe me I have been there)!
He fit me in at the last minute (I am a notorious procrastinator and with all the planning details getting my hair done slipped my list!) and worked a miracle for me! Joseph is a genuinely kind soul, a gentleman and a master of his art!
His salon is intimate, comfortable, chic and relaxing! Seriously make an appointment with Joseph Anthony — you cannot go wrong here!

When I first walked in i was feeling kinda ehhh with myself… by the time Anthony was done i was a completely new and fabulous woman. He is a genius and increadibly patient. I love my hair… there’s no doubt im coming back for sure… 10 stars if you ask me!!!

The best hair colorist in Southern California is right here in San Diego. Melanie Culmer is the best! And a perfectionist! I’ve been going to her for over 20 years and now my friends go to her… we call it getting «The Melanie» treatment… you will love her for style and color!!! San Diego’s best kept secret!

For those who seek a quality haircut, a good stylist is hard to come by. Thankfully I met Joseph! Joseph is the best stylist I have ever encountered! He is definitely the best in San Diego. The energy and detail that he puts into haircuts cannot be matched! He is truly a master of his craft.
Aside from the excellent quality of his service, Joseph’s studio is awesome! He It has a very modern feel to it with beautiful artwork, a very nice bathroom, and comfy furniture. I recommend Joseph Anthony’s Studio to anyone who cares about their hair and look!

Robert is superb! He knows just how to make my naturally curly mane look amazing! He is a master when it comes to all things color related as well as cutting. His expertise knowledge of hair is parallel to none as he has been my hair stylist for well over 18 years. I love Joseph Anthony’s Salon sitting just above Kettner in Little Italy, so fresh and cutting edge. I highly recommend Robert to anyone with or without curly hair needing a new master hair stylist!

Joseph has been cutting my hair for what seems to be maybe 20 years.
I have referred many people to Joseph over the years and nobody has been disappointed. Young, mature, short hair, long hair. Everyones needs were met with great creativity and professionalism.
My mother would drive over an hour in from out of town just to get her hair done by Joseph.
For all you men out there I’ll give you a little tip. Joseph’s cuts are so excellent that you don’t need to go in every 3 weeks for a cut. Ive stretched my cuts out to 6 weeks at times because they grow in so well. (don’t tell Joseph I told you that)
Ive also had the pleasure of seeing Joseph’s work at a fashion show and I was blown away!

This is truly a top-​notch salon, it is the best I’ve been to in San Diego. I have been going to Joseph for years now and every single time I enter the salon I am immediately greeted with a warm welcome and offered a beverage. Joseph begins every appointment by asking how I’m doing and what my day or week has been like, I have sent several friends to Joseph and he begins every single appointment like this whether you’ve known him for years or are a new client. We then discuss what we’re going to do with my cut/​color. Joseph is a very well known in the fashion industry and is always on top of what styles and looks are in.
Joseph truly takes his time while cutting my hair. Each haircut and color includes an incredible scalp massage with an aromatherapy treatment. Joseph first cuts my hair wet and then dries it and cuts again to ensure that it is perfect. Every time I leave the salon I am overjoyed with the look and experience.
Joseph also did the hair for my wedding for me, six bridesmaids, and my mother. The updos were all flawless. Joseph styles hair for runway shows and has participated in fashion weeks all over the country, including New York.
The best part about Joseph Anthony is that along with his endless talent, comes a truly genuine experience. This is a beautiful, relaxing salon, I cannot recommend it enough!

Bryan Fisher at Joseph Anthony is my go-​to guy. I first met him while he was still training at the Paul Mitchell School, and once he moved over to Joseph Anthony, I followed. Bryan has ALWAYS asked the right questions regarding my cut, ensuring that I am satisfied not only with the result of the cut, but also how it grows in over 6 weeks. His professionalism and demeanor keep me going back to him! HIGHLY recommend. :)

I was needing a new stylists as the girl I had been going to for over 6 years had moved locations which logistically just didn’t work out any longer. I knew Bryan socially and heard great things about his work so I thought no better time like the present.
For his first time clients he offers a 30% discount which was a huge bonus. I was a bit nervous having someone new do my hair but that was the best move I ever made. He truly consults you with every move and really gets to know what you are wishing to achieve. He will offer suggestions and listens to what you tell him.
His style is cutting edge. No pun intended but he is a true artist and up on the latest techniques for the best results. I have had him color my hair twice, cut and style my hair. I could not be happier.
He will go out of his way to make sure you are happy, comfortable and provided the best service. The salon is located on Kettner blvd which you can always find street parking. Bryan is very professional and goes the extra mile. He offers to check on the meter if you are needing to have extra time and has plugged it for me each time. This is going above and beyond for sure.
The space is boutique chic. Great vibe, wonderful atmosphere and spa like feeling with a modern edge.

I just had my haircut on Saturday, May 17^th, and Bryan Fisher is simply the best! The salon rocks on all levels. He works really hard to make his clients happy. Bryan is great to work with, listens to your concerns and is very reasonable on pricing. I have never had to wait when I arrive for my scheduled appointment. The owner has high standards and runs a AAA establishment. I can’t imagine a better person or place to come to for a cut/​color. Bryan does a great job and I would follow him anywhere but for now this place is awesome. Great Cut, great price!
