Julie is the best! I’ve been coming to her for my Brazilian blowouts for 3 years now and my ho has never been more healthy and strong — and I save SO much time. I will say that I think using the products in critical — but the best part is that she offers them at a very reasonable price and I have NEVER felt «upsold» by her. She is the most sweet and wonderful to chat with, and she is the most dependable hair stylist i have ever found! I also love the online booking system she uses — no snotty receptionists and you can easily schedule or edit your own appointment.

I FREAKING LOVE HER AND HER WORK! I’ve been coming to her for over a year now, and I’ve never left her salon feeling anything less than beautiful! Not only does she do an amazing job, she’s also good company. There’s never a dull moment of conversation.
I’ve come to her for haircuts, full highlights, touch ups, and ombré’s and I’ve always gotten what I’ve asked for with exceeded expectations and affordable prices.

I saw Julie for a Brazilian blowout. Her price is one of the most reasonable in SD not to mention she does an amazing job! I believe I was her last client on a Saturday night and while I feel like most people would be itching to get home she took her time and made sure to do a great job! She is hilarious and easy to talk to which made the 90 minutes fly by. I’ve had the Brazilian blowout and keratin treatment previously and have gotten my best results with Julie. I will definitely be back!

When I went in, Julie told me what to expect and taught me about after treatment for my hair and recommended products. She listens to what you want and makes it happen. Her customer service is on point and she goes above and beyond to make sure you’re happy.
Very reasonable prices and for the first time if you dye your hair or get a Brazilian blowout, you receive a free cut. Since she’s the only one in her salon, you won’t have to worry about getting someone you don’t trust. Win, Win.

I recently got the new Brazilian blowout! My first time ever and I have very thick, coarse, long, naturally curly hair. I had my doubts but I gave it a shot and I don’t regret it! Julie did awesome! It’s been about 2 weeks now, and as she stated my hair is still frizz free and easy to manage! Lots of people noticed the difference right away! In addition to that, Julie was fun and entertaining — it took about 4.5 hours and it went by fast because she’s super easy to talk to! She’s great at what she does and I’m super thrilled I found her! Definitely going back! Can’t wait to see her new location.

What a great place to get my hair cut when I come to San Diego. She does such an amazing job. A real friendly environment. She always makes time for me when I come into town. I must say she is a real professional when it comes to haircuts. I just wish I didn’t live so far away. If you’re living in San Diego and want a real professional to cut your hair right Julie is the girl to go to.

She genuinely wants you to be happy with your hair and trust me you will be, whether it’s the Brazilian, color, or a simple haircut you end up getting. I had lost all faith in Brazilian Blowouts because my last two from my previous stylist did not stay. I am glad I gave one more shot and headed to Julie because she is a flawless stylist. My hair looks great and it has been almost two weeks! She was easy to talk to and made the time pass by quickly. I cannot wait to go back to her!

I had an appointment with Julie on 07÷31÷14. By mistake I didn’t book my hair cut with an appointment deal, Julie said no problem, will take care of it. I really appreciate the flexibility.
I’m turning 60 and after many years of coloring my hair I decided stop coloring and go grey… and of course I still wanted to look young and sexy…:-).

After years of having my natural hair color, I decided to switch it up. I wanted to do ombré, but was really hesitant because I hadn’t found anyone I trusted with my hair.

I brought her pictures of what I wanted my hair to look like. It wasn’t awkward or uncomfortable, she made me feel right at home and at ease. She gave me wine (which totally help me to calm the eff down haha).
Not only did my hair color come out EXACTLY as I wanted, when I told her I wanted to cut my hair, but didn’t want to hack it off, she only took a few off the ends.

Jewels has consistently done an outstanding job on my color every time! I had moved last year to San Diego/​PB and took a chance with finding her on Unilocal and so glad I did. I now live in Carlsbad but I continue to go to her because I’m very picky with my blonde color and it’s very difficult to find someone who does it just right. Julie has also given me a Brazilian Blowout and I love it! It’s lasted about 10 months and I’m thinking about having it done again soon. Julie is also very entertaining, friendly and fun to chat with, makes the time go by faster in her chair (I have ADD so I appreciate how quickly she gets me in and out but still does the job flawlessly). I always schedule my appointments through her Style Seat Page and it’s always worked great for me! I highly recommend her, you will not regret giving her a try!

Julie is awesome. My hair always looks amazing when I leave her studio. She’s an expert with color and my Brazilian blowouts look amazing. My only complaint is that she’s so popular that it can be hard to book an appointment that works with my busy schedule :)

Julie knows hair! I’ve been searching San Diego for 3 years for someone that can give me a magazine hair cut for less-​than Moda (Hillcrest) price. Julie has great attention to detail and eye for color. I wish I’d gone to her first for my peek-​a-​boo highlights. I’ll continue to go to her for color, cuts & brazilian blowouts.

Found Jewels Hair Design from a Bloomspot deal for a Brazilian Blowout. I had one a few months ago but didn’t want to spend a butt-​load for another until I saw the too good to be true deal online. I instantly wanted to give it a try since the holidays are coming up – why not.
From start to finish, my experience at Jewels Hair Design was the better than any high end salon. Julie did an awesome job and I would definitely recommend her to all my friends and fam!
Best thing is, she’s open til 9 so I can still book an appointment after working hours!
