I got a taro slush with egg pudding and boba and it was good. The boba was not too squishy like some places I’ve been. The cashier was pleasant and it was not a long wait despite it being packed when we went in. The parking is kind of a pain, especially with the tiny spots, and you might have to go ahead and park on the other lot nearby.

I got the Jasmine milk tea with boba so my review is based on this one drink. It was not a drink I would try again at this place. The boba balls were very squishy and tended to stick together while the tea tasted kinda fake. I will be going back to try other types of tea and the popcorn chicken to see if they do better in other areas. Until then, I would defintely go somewhere else if you are a jasmine milk tea person.

As far as food and drink quality, I have nothing bad to say. It’s a new favorite Boba place and they have a punch card for loyal customers. I’ve only tried their iced teas and love them since they add fresh fruit to the drink. The Boba have been cooked properly every time too. I’ve heard the pistachio frappé is something to rave about. I’m not a huge pistachio flavor fan, but they do blend in a couple pistachio nuts! The popcorn chicken comes in a bowl like froyo does. No sticks were provided and I didn’t see basil leaves. It’s not the usual presentation, but I still enjoyed them. I’d be interested in trying their fries next time.

Not really my boba place of choice, but what keeps me coming back is their pistachio frappé. I must say. that is pretty bomb. The big black balls of tapioca definitely compliment the drink. 1 star of the 2 taken off is because I don’t think their popcorn chicken compares to the other stores. They serve you a little and they’re in huge chunks. In addition, it is a pain in the butt to break the pieces into smaller bits or to just chew on them.

Slowest workers ever, who obviously don’t know how to multi task. The cashier is always at the register, letting drinks sit there forever before handing them out.

The boba is on point at It’s Boba Time. I ordered the honeydew smoothie with boba(the cashier corrected me when I asked for a honeydew boba smoothies. I’m not a fan of the flavor as it is a little weak. The smoothie texture is soft but the boba is the best part. My wife ordered a green apple smoothie with boba which she really enjoyed. Service is pretty quick. It’s a good option for dessert.

This place has good drinks, smoothies, hot and cold teas… and even panini sandwiches and fries, etc… just make sure you have the time to stand in their long line b/c their staff is not too efficient. There has been a long line every time I go in there.

So I rolled in with a bunch of punch cards asking if I can combine to get my free drink,(you know, as a reward for paying for 21 drinks pior) and I got the stare from this blonde asian girl at the register. 5÷6÷169pm. Clearly, she doesn’t know what she’s doing because she had to ask another co-worker who in no surprise doesn’t know how their punch card promotion works either. It’s a different rule per employee. Drinks are good, hence a bunch of punches on my cards, but their service tonight was just plain Rude!

Went to this location right after feasting at the Korean bbq a couple doors down. The place is not as big as the tapex down the street but boyyyy are their drinks tasty. This isn’t the ideal place to bring your laptop to study since it can get loud at times. More of a high-school-date kind of place if you know what I mean. Positive vibes all around and the staff is amazing when it comes to recommendations and accommodations. I will always order the Thai tea slush with egg pudding. Nothing else. Just the THAITEASLUSHWITHPUDDING. I’m not a big fan of the boba pearls but my friends tell me the honey boba are always made to perfection(they compared it to Tea Station) Cute little place. Tapex gets boring after a while. Give it a try sometime!

Pistachio Frappé. If you haven’t tried it yet, TRYITNOW. Hands down my FAVORITEDRINK. I first tried it in the LA location and I fell in love. My fiancée and I didn’t get a chance to stop by the LA location on our way down so we were super stoked when we found out they had a location in San Diego. We ordered the Pistachio Frappé, of course, but was disappointed upon drinking it. The drink wasn’t fully blended, which left ice chunks in our drink. The drink was still full of flavor though. We came back the day after to give it another try. This time, we made sure to have them blend it longer so that we didn’t have the ice chunks. Low and behold, the drink was PERFECT. Smooth like butter(or smoother). Definitely glad that we came back to give them another chance to perfect my drink. The service at this location was kind of slow the 2nd time around. Perhaps the cashier was new? Or the customers before us just had super complicated drinks. Either way, the drink was worth the wait! Did I mention that you should try the Pistachio Frappé?

I usually get their Strawberry Coconut smoothie here, and it is delicious! I have tried their Matcha Green tea smoothie and it was too sweet for my liking, but I tried their Taro Coconut on my last visit with boba &pudding and it is good. They have acai bowls, shaved ice, snacks like popcorn chicken and macarons. The macarons that they order from a vendor arent too sweet. I got the Strawberry Cream cheese and Pistachio. The Strawberry Cream cheese is what you would expect. The Pistachio was beautifully executed. You can really taste the pistachio in the filling and the sweetness is just right. Parking here can be a pain, but it isn’t as bad as other places in Convoy. Service is good though. Overall, it is worth a try!

I’ve been here a couple more times now. Service here is always slow no matter if there’s a huge crowd or if it’s mostly empty. The flavors are pretty standard, but the coffee milk tea doesn’t taste much like coffee milk tea. It tastes more like coffee-tea. Weird. I like their honey-flavored tapioca balls, but the freshness/texture will vary every time I visit. Sometimes they taste fresh, sometimes they have that weird hard center which means they were either over-cooked or have been sitting out for too long after being made. I need to find a bubble tea place with honey-flavored tapioca balls that’s quicker in service and more consistent in food prep… Didn’t think it would be that hard to do in San Diego.

Yassssssss. I finally found a good boba place in San Diego. Granted, I live in Chula Vista so the opions for boba out there aren’t great. My biggest issues with Boba places are the powders that most tend to use for their drinks instead of the fresh fruits. I usually either get coconut or taro so the powdery aftertaste is very pronounced in those flavors. Not the case with its Boba time! They most definitely use fresh fruits in their drink. For this first trip, I ordered the coconut strawberry with boba. It was sooo good. Thankfully when I went the line was not long at all. I was the second person in line. It took about 10 minutes for the drink to come out. But it was well worth the wait. I immediately regretted not getting the large size.

Service here, like all the other reviews said, is kind of spotty. It seems like they always only have one cashier and that person is usually also running around in the kitchen too. This time I noticed that they had drinks already on the counter, but wasn’t calling any names for a while(at least 10 – 15 minutes). So drinks were just sitting there. On this visit I tried their frosty milk with strawberry, pudding, and boba(only available in large size). It was a bit bland and I notice they are inconsistent with their cup lids. They seal some and they use soda lids other times. For instance, on my friend’s drink they got a seal cup so they could shake it to mix things up, while I got a regular soda lid and so I had to stir mine instead. Made it so that was hard to mix all the strawberry, pudding, and boba. The frosty drink itself was a bit bland(I think I prefer the version at Infinitea more), but the boba was really good(nice and sweet and slightly chewy, but soft). Other drinks that I’ve had in the past: Their pistachio frappé is really delicious. Not too sweet and even has bits of pistachio. I will probably go with that one next time I’m here. Their green tea frappé is almost exactly like starbuck’s, so I would skip it. Their fruit smoothies are pretty refreshing. Overall, a decent boba place, but not my favorite on convoy due to the service and inconsistency.

The boba here is some of the best in San Diego. Came here today for a Jasmine green milk tea with extra boba. Sooooo good. Not too milky and the tea had a strong green tea flavor which I enjoy. I plan on trying more things here. I’m just now starting to get adventurous with my boba drinks. Next Time I will try pudding in my drink also. Go here if you like boba!

It’s Boba Time! Or is it??? No, it’s not really Boba Time until you’ve waited about half an hour to get your boba fix. I even witnessed someone faint here; they probably waited too long without boba in their mouth! Our group visited on a Monday and there was a line to the door. I wasn’t too worried because usually likes at these places go pretty quickly. But not here! It took about 15 minutes to get to the front and another 15 minutes wait for our drinks to be ready. It was during the wait period that the person passed out. No joke! So if the wait is so long, the result should be mind-blowing, right? Unfortunately it didn’t pay off here. The **Almond Milk Tea** is decent but nothing to write home about(or wait for 30 minutes for). However, I was surprised that the **Mango Strawberry Smoothie** was so refreshingly delicious. TIP: This is a popular overcrowded spot. Only come here if you have time to burn. DATETIP: If you bring your date here, they may swoon — literally — from having to wait for their boba fix! This can be YOUR moment to be the knight in shining armor and save them from hitting the floor.

I’ve passed Boba Time several times whenever I drove on Convoy st. but finally I decided to give it a try. It was Tuesday evening, yet so many people were going in. In fact, I was surprised that most of their tables were occupied. I was curious what makes their milk tea latte more special than a regular milk tea. The cashier said that they used condensed milk for the latte, which would make it taste better. Ok, I ordered 1 hot milk tea latte to go. Afterward, while waiting, I noticed that there were only 2 employees: 1 worked in the kitchen and another 1 did 2 jobs as cashier and kitchen helper. It took forever for my milk tea latte to be made. When I drank my milk tea latte, I was disappointed that the taste wasn’t special at all. It was also not as sweet as I thought, and I believe it should’ve been sweeter had the condensed milk be added. I’ve been to other milk tea places, and Boba Time’s milk tea latte tastes just exactly the same as regular milk tea made at different places. Milk tea latte does cost slightly higher, but considering the taste & inefficiency of their operation, I’m most likely not going back. * I like the location though, although the parking spots are a bit narrow.

I love this place! They have a great selection of drinks and snacks. Every kind of smoothie I could possibly think of. Smoothies, frappé’s, slushies, milk shakes, milk tea, coffees, frosty milk, iced tea, slaved snow, shaved ice… taro tea latte, that sounds exotic. My green tea frappé was delicious and I had it for breakfast. My little boy hag an oreo milkshake. He loved it! Oh, they also have hot tea and more

I have to admit, I have had better milk tea and popcorn chicken. I ordered the almond milk tea with no boba and a regular order of popcorn chicken. Prices were reasonable, $ 3 and some change for the milk tea and $ 4.99 for the popcorn chicken. Although the almond milk tea had a good almond flavor, it was two sweet for my taste. It was the sweetest milk tea I have ever had, and I was not to happy about it. Also, they did not put enough ice in cup, so the it melted quickly and the milk tea lost its coldness rather quickly. The popcorn chicken was a mix bag. Some of the pieces were good, meaning they had a good crunchy tasty breading and tender white chicken inside, but then there were those that were over cooked, with dry brown chicken and lacking in flavor. It would be nice if they were more consistent with the preparation of the popcorn chicken. Also, I recommend they offer a sauce on the side, rather than just package ketchup, not that there’s anything wrong with that. Service was actually very good. The young lady at the ordering counter had a peppy personality and was sweet.

Just dropped in to pick up some drinks before heading to a bonfire at Mission Bay during the weekend. The place was pretty packed Saturday night — and me and one of my friends luckily got our drinks pretty quick. Our other two friends who arrived 5 minutes later had to wait on line for theirs — as the line had started to build up during the meantime. The cashier was quite courteous. I think if you were to pay by credit card there was a minimum amount. Can’t say i was a extraordinary experience as I literally only spent 10 – 15 minutes standing before leaving. Bathrooms were ok clean — better than other places. The drinks we had were okay as well — nothing too special. But may also have been what we ordered. Would have to go a couple more times before figuring out if I like the place or not. Parking was a bit cramped — as this place was within a plaza so most of the spots filled up pretty quickly.
