I booked this hotel last minute for a conference and was pleasantly surprised. The room is big and the beds are very comfortable. Free wifi, lots of free parking and convenient to the freeway. The best part of my experience was when I checked in and Mike greeted me like a great friend. Mike made me feel so welcomed and put me in the best room he had available even though I was super early for my reservation. He is so upbeat and funny and it was awesome to meet him after a long day on a plane. I would absolutely stay here again and thank you Mike for being such a wonderful host!

I paid $ 180 a night for a king size bed the day before memorial day 2016… not sure if my price is typical, but I think it was a ripoff for what we got… and we didn’t get breakfast. The room was fine, everything in great shape, nice tv… no USB ports though(come on its 2016).We got an ADA room on the second floor… so the bathroom was nice an big. The room was a nice size too. The keurig coffee was good. We had a little fridge in our place which we loaded up with snacks from target. Apparently the beds are adjustable for firmness, but i didn’t know… the mattress was fine, the pillows were fine. Our view had a nice view of the pool, and lovely parking lot beyond it. We went in the pool both days. its a fine little pool(it made me wonder why hotel pools are so enticing, and why I never use the community pool where I live) I guess my 3 stars is because I think the room should have been like 100 bucks or something… whatever mayne.

We got a hotel through . There was a problem originally because the hotel didn’t have our reservation. That got figures out and then the hotel didn’t have an ADA room available them at we reserved. Teresa(and another tall lady with blonde hair) helped figure it out so that we got what we needed. They kept assuring me they wanted me to be happy and would make sure I walked away from the front desk with everything I wanted/needed. And they did. I was very happy with how they figured everything out. They were very nice and also accommodating about everything. We came on May 13th at 3pm. We didn’t go in the pool but it looks really nice. Lots of things around to do and places to eat also.

We arrived here late last night for a wedding and had a long 8 hour drive from Northern California. We decided to arrive late(230AM) and relax so that we could be rested for the noon time wedding today. Upon checkin we were notified that they only had one last King bed room available and they were at capacity. This was a major problem since we are a family of 4. We specifically reserved a room with 2 beds. This was not satisfactory. The security guard found«the last» roll away bed for us but it ended up being an uncomfortable night for all.(3 on a King and 1 on a roll away) The security guard seemed concerned about our well-being, however the front desk worker seemed to not care at all. His only answer was«someone changed your reservation today» most likely to fill the need of another guest who did not book a room with 2 beds. They offered to change our room the following day however we will be engaged in other events for the wedding. This is very poor customer service.

So we have stayed here a few more times, and again there were issues with the room. We knew we would be arriving super late, so we called the day before to make sure that they knew we were coming and to make sure our room was still available. We were assured it would be. Unfortunately once we got to our room we found it wasn’t the king we paid for, but a double. And the center lamp didn’t work. We tried to call the front desk but were placed on hold for over ten minutes. We finally just walk down to the lobby again and were told that there were no more kings available, so, too bad. Staff did not seem concerned but indifferent. Definitely not the same reaction last time there was a hiccup with our room. Unfortunately we are just here for the one night, and it has pretty much been ruined.

This place has a cute lobby with a nice interior. The pool area is nice and the gym has free weights! The front desk is helpful and there’s plenty of parking. The bed and pillows are also more comfortable than other places.

I was at Hilton Garden inn San Diego. The Hotel was big with good design. Everything was organized. Service was fast and good., but the room was so noisy. The Hotel was close to the free way, specially our room. The other noise was in the room because of fan in the bathroom. The bathroom door was closed but I still could hear the fan noise. Could not sleep well. But overall, I liked the hotel.

We had an Awesome experience at this hotel! Made last minute reservations for my daughter’s softball tournament. Mike was very sweet and friendly also upgraded our room with a balcony and offered us bottled water! They also let us check in hours early with no fee! The rooms were very clean and nice! It was also quiet. The beds Were pleasantly comfortable with both firm and soft pillows. We had a nice time and will definitely book with hotel again! Thanks for an enjoyable relaxing time!

Clean rooms, friendly service, ample parking, no issues during our multiple stays. The only con, breakfast is not included and the rooms are a bit outdated

Very nice place, nice rooms, friendly staff, small but nice pool area. We had a special, where breakfast was included for the family. But, for some reason, they only gave us a couple of meal tickets for breakfast, it’s treated like a sit down restaurant and a server gives you a bill. So, I had to request more tickets for each day of our stay. It took 2 requests, the 2nd time a staff member finally gave them to me after I explained which agent we made our reservation through. So, that was a bit inconvenient. The breakfast was nice though with a chef to make your omelet for you and buffet selection was nice.

Of all the places I’ve stayed in the Hilton family of hotels, this is pretty easily the most disappointing. After almost having a heatstroke from the elevator and the hallways, I blasted the a/c in my room so I could cool off before getting ready to go out. Did my little walk-thru, and noticed that their toilet wasn’t working, so I called and they said they’d send someone up to take me to a different room. The girl they sent up was a wreck… it was probably a combination of the heat, her shift almost being over, and her being menstrual to begin with… I was surprised and entertained by how pissy her attitude was. Everything in the new room was working fine, but as soon as I’d step out of my room, the heat from the hallway would almost knock me on my ass. What’s wrong with this place? turn on the f***ing a/c in the hallways, or at least in the elevators. If I had gotten dressed in my room, by the time I made it down to my car in the parking lot, my shirt would already be sweaty… so I had to wait and put my shirt on after I got in my car and ran the a/c on max. With a few better options not that far away, there’s no reason for me to ever come back here.

Nice hotel. Clean rooms, good beds, reasonably sized bathroom & bedroom. They are located right next to the 15. The highway noise is quite pronounced outside of the hotel, while my room and the lobby were fine I would imagine there might be some rooms that would be awfully noisy. The breakfast was good but nothing special just your standard Hotel omelette bar.

I was in San Diego for a basketball tournament and my team captain booked the rooms so I really wasn’t expecting much. This place was great, the room we had was super spacious and everything was super clean. The staff was very polite and helpful. The breakfast cooks were hella funny and everything we ordered from them was perfect. The morning buffet is $ 13.99 and you can get a breakfast burrito, or chicken fried steak, along with the regular breakfast items. They also had plenty of juices on hand and plenty of fresh fruit to eat with my French toast. There is a parking garage down stairs that is secure and covered. He laundry room was an unexpected bonus to wash some stinky jerseys. I can’t wait to be in that area again and I have a new respect for Hilton garden inn.

El hotel es muy bonito, la atención es muy buena al realizar el check in, las habitaciones son comodas, e estado hospedado en distintas ocasiones y me parece un excelente hotel, el desayuno no esta incluido pero hay variedad en la comida.

We were staying at this hotel for 4 nights with kids hockey team. It’s a very modern and clean hotel. Reception people are very polite! They provided complimentary bottled water for us at the check in(I hate 5 $ hotel-bottled-water) so I was really pleasantly surprised. They also have complimentary cookies, coffee, apples in the lobby. Free breakfast we got as a team was simple but pretty good: baked potatoes, pastries, cereal, sausages, omelette and fruits. The only problem we had here was noisy toilet at our room. It was constantly flushing water. So annoying. But it was fixed in no time after I complained about it. Also, they don’t mind big groups of hockey parents hanging out in lobby every night with our own drinks purchased outside, which is nice. Microwave and mini fridge in the room are good bonuses also. Would definitely stay here again.

A recent work trip brought me here. First, at checkin, it was really nice to be offered bottled water, 2 of them on top of that. And the checkin lady adds, «Come down for water whenever you want» The place is a Hilton, so the bed was kush komfortable. The hotel smelled fresh, new carpeting with ambience of browns, flowers and earth… comfy but not my style. I think this brand does not work well for Hilton chain unless you’re a grandma who loves flowers… no offense. Breakfast was a nice nice layout and at $ 13.99 sans tip was not bad. The buffet was tasty fresh, decent selection of DIY toast, waffles, buffet breakfast standards like eggs, sausage perfectly crisp bacon(very nice). The rest you’d see at a continental breakfast spread. There is an omelet bar and didn’t partake b/c was needing to go to work. I would come back for the nice bed and proximity to client site. Tips: Free Parking, Free Wifi, restos around and 24 Hr Fitness is literally around the corner. Visits: 1

We really enjoyed our overall experience at the Hilton Garden Inn. The staff was so welcoming and helpful at the front desk– from check in, to food recommendations, to a speedy check out process. Our room was great– super clean– comfortable bed– and we saw several others with the double bed set up– and those looked great too. We also ate breakfast one day at the hotel– it was delicious, and they had the friendliest gentlemen I’ve met in a restaurant working in the kitchen. It appeared that they loved where they working. All of the food was great, and our server was great too. This hotel also has one of those little shops where you can get a snack or a beverage– a bit pricey– but not crazy– and I love being able to get something on the fly if I need, or pick up a toothbrush if I forget one. The hotel itself is beautiful– had several lovely outside areas– and a great pool. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

It took us about 20 mins to check in because they couldn’t find our reservation. At this point, I was frustrated at the clerk and my husband for not having his account #. So it turns out to be that they spelled my husband’s name all wrong! Basic american name… People! FYI: For all government employees make sure your tax exempt form is filled out during the check in. There is only one person who gets to approve it. So to avoid delays… Have it ready! overall, the staff gave us 2 breakfast vouchers for their trouble. I thought it was very nice of her. Hotel: Nice accommodations. Great staff. Great location for access throughout San Diego area. Meals are available in-house, and nearby restaurant options are also available.

Most people that I work with choose to stay at the RBI down the street when they come into RB for a trip. Not me. I stayed there once. It was alright but I didn’t think it was really anything special. One of its selling points is that it is in the middle of a golf course. This is not useful to me. I am on a work trip. Also I don’t play golf. So unless there is some cosmic value to being around a golf course, I don’t think that really matters. Anyway, this is about the HGI, not the RBI, OK? OK. Breakfast is decent. Rooms are fine. Parking is generally convenient. Here’s a tip. If you stay here because it is very close to the 24 Hour Fitness, just know that the entrance is on the opposite side of the building. Yeah, you have to walk around. Which is fine, if you’re like, «well I’m going to the GYM so it’s cool if I have to WALK to get in there.» You’re one of those people. Got it. Well, the door is about 20 feet lower in elevation than where you’ll stand on the back end of the building. Good luck, Rambo. Also, a day pass is $ 10 but if you tell them you’re staying at the HGI — which, by the way, why else would you be willing to pay basically a MONTH’S MEMBERSHIP to go there if you weren’t staying at the hotel — they will charge you just $ 8. I go to a real gym where they charge like $ 20 for a guest pass, so this seemed fine to me. Also, work paid for it. Also, health. Holler.

BECAREFULDURINGLATECHECK — IN! Wow, one thing after another from the front desk our family received nothing but trouble during our entire stay. The only person who listened and cared was the general manager, who didn’t return to work until Monday, when we checked out so we were completely out of luck during our stay. I actually read another review of this happening to another person, so BECAREFUL! ITHAPPENS!!! I have never paid for a more expensive room, and have been given a lower tier room 1. without being notified about it 2. they lied saying they didn’t recieve my reservation, EVENTHOUGH I HADCALLED! I had booked a Junior suite room with a pull out bed in February and were set to check in last weekend. We got caught up and didn’t get to the hotel until 3AM. When we did, the hubs went and got our room no problems right? Of course when we get to the room, it was a KING bed ONLY! Man, we were so tired at that time we were going to just let it go, but we had paid for the room with points we had saved for a long time and we paid extra just to get the suite so that our daughters can sleep there and we didn’t get it! Hubs went downstairs to ask and the two night front desk agents pretty much said, «Sorry we don’t have it available, you didn’t call to confirm, do you want free breakfast?». Flabbergasted. We called our agents and the hotel ARGUED with them, told them they could not help us and did not offer ANY remedy except for a room with a balcony the next day. We crammed the four of us into one bed when we paid or an extra sofa bed :-( THEKICKER — I BOOKEDTHESUITETHENEXTDAYANDITWASAVAILABLEFORBOTHNIGHTSTHEREAFTER!!! The silverlining came in that the hotel manager had the time to speak with us and talk about this. However, it really was quite a horrible experience but we made the best of it. Other from the service, the place seems well kept, the housekeeping was helpful and the breakfast is a great addition. Proceed with caution!
