Had a decent time here. Best memory was macking it to a hot 1st grade teacher named Tracey at the bar… and then she felt me up. Awesome. Drinks were decent priced. Music was pretty good, more black music than anything else, well mixed by a good DJ, not much of a voice(NY style, you know) but great on the decks. Had a nice time, and was allowed entry and re-entry!

I know I tend to say this a lot for night time hang outs, but I can’t stress enough how the company you keep will make or break your night. Heat is definitely one of those places. I don’t think I can really give this place a true review since I’ve only been here once(and was very intoxicated when I was there) so three stars for the old school hip hop they played, and the two levels for us to choose from(although the bottom floor was playing a strange mix of music that wasn’t quite house… but it was great background music to relax on their sofas too). The drinks were good and the bartenders are really friendly; it’s not often you find a bartender downtown who willingly offers to refill your glass of water, and I love it when my glass of water is full. Haha. The atmosphere is more on the intimate side, but I’ll be back one night without alcohol in my system to really judge. Until then, it’s not a horrible place to make a pit stop on a night on the town. And the memories I did make here will always have me giggling… but I think I’ll keep the reasons why to myself.

I’ve had different experiences with Heat, but we bought out the club to have our holiday party there and they were great. The food was AWESOME(appetizer style) and the service was really good. They could of had a couple more cocktail waitresses or servers though. Other than that, I don’t think anyone had any complaints. I’ve also been here a few times(once on a Thursday) and I think once on a Friday or Saturday. It can get a bit ghetto there, but I’m not stuck up or hard to please if I’m drunk and having fun — plus I think I fit right in.

Went there for a birthday last Saturday. We were able to go upstairs in vip, but it got crowded. The music and drinks were so-so. It reminded me of Olé Madrid but smaller. My first time going so I’ll update this later.

I had my birthday celebration at this club last month. To my surprise the club was very small and seemed a bit un-organized. As I arrived at the club one of the promoters assumed I was there for his free guest list which I was not. Not the way you except to be treated when you will be dropping some money for the VIP section of the club. The set up in the VIP area was nice, however some friends of mine had a hard time getting their bracelets from one of the hosts. Later in the night, some people were able to get into the VIP area without bracelets. Which defeats the whole purpose of a VIP area. All in all my experience was good. I gave this club 4 stars only because of the great service that I received from my waitress Janet. She was very nice and made sure than we had everything we needed. Also, she made such great drinks for my friends and I.

Heat is definitely not a Super Club. I dont know of anyone that has actually ever had food(let alone Supper) here. So, with that out of the way, Heat is a decent nightlife spot. Its got 3 levels(amazing for a place that small but) inside… –the main level where the main bar and the dance floor reside. Perch up right above the entrance is where the DJ booth is located. The music is ok… some nights good some nights just so so. –the vip level which is up above the main bar. guarded by bouncer so if youre up there, youre in with the owner or know someone working there. there is a bar up there… couches…some plush seats. My only issue with up there is its hotter than hell. You can sweat to death up there. –the bottom level is an underground type vibe. totally different dj… a whole other bar. a couple of couches for lounging. but its cramped quarters down there when it gets crowded. The crowd is very hit or miss. Some nights, its really fab. Some nights, pretty dry. Drinks are pretty relative priced but if your coming d’town, expect that. All is all, Heat is a ok place. Its not my first choice of place to go out to, but it has its nights.

I went to this club and really did not dig it. It struck me as an a typical downtown nightclub where people don their dressy duds that they found on the Ross sales rack so they can go out on the town to blow their pay check on overpriced drinks. I wasn’t impressed with this club because I thought the red and black interior was a little tacky and the music was god-awful, and this is coming from a girl who has danced to her share of bad music at clubs. I went to Heat on Thursday and luckily didn’t have to pay a cover charge. My experience wasn’t bad, it was just bland. It was the first and last time I will be going.

I need to stop drinking and start eating. I’ve never had the food, or «cuisine» at Heat as the owners like to call it, but I’ve had a good dose of the late night atmo(that’s short for atmosphere). It’s alright, pretty much what you’d expect at a Gaslamp club. This guy I know, Mo, just started a new Wednesday night at Heat. I haven’t checked it out yet, but I plan on it. I trust Mo, he used to run Thin back when I could stand it.
