Meh. Good selection. Not as much sports selection as I would have liked. Employees just stood behind the register although they did ask if I needed help. The place was playing some unprofessional music and the employees would sing along to parts. Kind of made me uncomfortable and I left. So minus 2 stars for music and atmosphere and 1 star for selection.

This place is average. Nothing to complaint about but there selections is sometimes just average. Wish they carried more NFL teams.

So here it is, I needed a hat for my nephew as a gift and I wanted to get the right one fit and all but he is 18 and I didn’t know where to begin? I walk in to the store only to be greeted by a nice young man with a smile and good attitude he like the rest of the group at the Hat Club were not pushing me to get a sale! I found the perfect hat for my nephew and he was very happy. The most important thing was that only 2 weeks before my nephew lost his Father my Big Brother, so his life was going hard as mine was losing him at a young age. I now always know where to buy a hat with style, quality and that perfect fit! and I have made some good friends there. So check it out for yourself and see what I’m talking about and I know you will find that Hat where people will say that’s Tight! Steve J

Lola assisted me in picking out a hat(which was difficult because my dome size is out of control LOL) and was amazing! Excellent customer service skills! Management you have a keeper! I really like this store! You can also order online which is cool and their prices are reasonable. Definitely hitting this spot up again when I’m in SD!

Disappointed former customer. Bought a hat for my nephew as a gift, unfortunately, after I gave it to him, we discovered it was too small. Took it back to exchange for a larger size. Cap still had tags on it — was only tried on once. They refused to allow me to exchange it. I was missing the receipt, I wasn’t asking for money back, just to exchange it for a larger size. They said no. They claimed they didn’t carry that hat — An Oakland A’s cap? I know this, that’s where I bought it. I’ve never shopped there again — and never will. I do not recommend.

I disagree with the people below me. Hat Club outdoes Lids in my opinion. One word: exclusives. Lids has the standard selection of on field hats, all white, all black and some variations on the Padres fitted, but thats about it. Hat Club raises the bar with a wall of interesting color ways that aren’t tacky or overloaded with graphics and stitching. Definitely a place I’ll be stopping by often. Be sure to check the little fitted kiosk in the middle of the mall too for some good stuff.

Agreed. Its alright. The selection here is not as good as LIDS but if you want the hottest hat out, this place does have some very special ones. This was one of the first stores to carry Filipino flag hats, i bought one in the bay area about four years ago. If you have the club card, you get 20% off the hat so with the $ 31.99, you save about six bucks or so. The prices are the exact same as all other new eras. If you wear your hat a good amount, invest $ 1 to get it sprayed because it gets protected from sweat/water.

This place ain’t so bad. I have complete disdain for anything in the Mission Valley Mall and quite frankly, I’d rather do a line of pubic lice than even look in the general direction of this dump. BUT, occasionally, I need to suppress my desire to demolish the structure with monster truck, Gravedigger, and head in for a score. Hat Club. No, you don’t have to be jumped in, nor do you have to sign up for some special members card… it’s just the nifty name of a place that only sells hats. Whether you’re looking for your favorite baseball team, favorite football team or favorite skate company garb… chances are, they’ve got something to scratch your itch. Many times, they’ve got a pretty smokin’ 2 for 1 deal. I bought two hats last Sunday and it only set me back $ 35. If you’ve ever bought officially licensed gear anywhere else, you know that’s legit. The only setback is that you need to maneuver around break dancers, wannabe gang members and baby strollers to get there. It’s a pain in the ass, but if you smoke enough reefer before you enter the facility, it’s relatively painless.
