Quick and Delicious. The flavors are perfectly wok’d together. It’s a to-go food type of joint. Perfect for grabbing food and heading to the beach to eat while basking in the sun… just try not to get sand all over the place. The portions are perfectly sized and greatly priced. Plus they now deliver!

I love Hans boardwalk. The guy who owns it spins a wok like no other. I get the spicy orange chicken on a bed of white rice for 4.99 or the shrimp fried rice which is awesome for 6.99 and both leave me with a fat grin as I walk away

Love love love the beef and brocolli! The noodles are pretty good too. If you’re wantin some chinese after a day of tanning. This is where u wanna be. The 3 stars are for atmosphere. then again, any place by the beach is still pretty amazing. If I could just rate the food it would have gotten 5 stars!

As always, Han does quick Chinese takeout just right. We are going to miss getting our quickies from Han. Great PB location, Great guy. Support his local business. FYI — 5’s are hard to come by… given a bit too easy around here IMO.

Han is the man. Thanks to my fellow Unilocalers for the recommendations. We all ordered one of the specials that isn’t on the menu. Cooked to order so it took a little while but no worries. It’s worth the wait. Han himself came our to deliver the food to our car and shook each one of our hands and asked our names. When was the last time that happened. 6 stars for customer service. Highly recommended!

I went down to Han’s again yesterday after I got a craving for his food the night before. I was a bit saddened that Han wasn’t there, and his cook informed me that he couldn’t prepare Han’s Chicken, or the Hot & Sour soup, because Han wasn’t there and he didn’t know the recipes. I guess it’s good that Han keeps a few of his specialties close to his chest, but also a bummer if he’s not going to be there when I need him most. However, this did give me a chance to try three completely new(to me) menu items. Stir fry noodles, beef w/garlic sauce, and the egg drop soup. I was talked into the stir fry noodles after the cook said they were more popular than the traditional chow mein(or maybe it was because it cost me $ 1 extra). It was very similar to chow mein, same noodles, same vegetables, but it did have a very strong and spicy black pepper flavor. If you’re not a fan of black pepper, I would stay away from this dish, and that may have been the difference between this and your normal chow mein. The beef w/garlic sauce was awesome; strong garlic flavor, and laced with red chili peppers, but surprisingly not too hot and with a note of sweetness throughout the sauce. It had cabbage, mushrooms, baby corn, chestnut and other goodies mixed in with it as well. The only disappointment was the egg drop soup. Either I’m just spoiled by Han’s hot & sour soup, or it’s really just not that good– I definitely wasn’t impressed. I should also point out, all soup prices were raised from $ 2 to $ 3. It’s still a bargain for the deliciousness of hot & sour, but I won’t be buying the egg drop again. All said and done, Han’s still continues to impress, and I’m glad I had the chance to branch out from my staples, and glad that PB has good Chinese food once again.

I am more of a fan of thai food than chinese food, perhaps because I have lived the majority of my life in SD and the chinese food stinks around here, but this place is mighty tasty. The orange chix is a lil sweet and can be overpowering, but it mixes well if you also get the Kung Pao. The portion size is perfect for 1 meal, just enough to satiate not keep you to full(people should learn to eat less). Definately a good little stop that I make everytime I am over in pb.

This place is pretty good. I had the Orange Chicken and Cream Cheese wontsns. They were awesome. The prices are super decent and the hours of business nake it even better.

I’ve yet to find a good Chinese place in SD. Han’s is not really an exception. But, it is a great place for a cheap, mediocre Chinese meal. I was really excited about it when it first opened, and the first time I went here I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. But recently it seems they’re slipping. Tonight I was pretty disappointed. I was looking forward to getting eggplant with garlic sauce but they were out of eggplant. I got some mixed veggies and tofu with garlic sauce which was pretty ‘meh’. The hot and sour soup was tasty but lukewarm. The crab rangoons were a HUUUGE disappointment. Not only were they so puny that I thought they were the wontons for the soup, I asked repeatedly for sweet and sour sauce and alas there was none in the bag when I got home — so now I gotta eat this tasteless little crispy rangoons with hardly any filling and no S&S. Bummer. Oh, not to mention the portions sizes are small, which isn’t inherently bad, but for the price and quality it seems they should be bigger.

Stumbled upon this place after a night of drinking right across the street at Miller’s. I was hungry and just wasn’t feeling like the standard post PB hot dog or Mexican food, so we thought we’d give this place a try. At first it appeared pretty cheap at $ 5 – 7 per entrée, but the portions are rather small. The take-out box is about the size of 2⁄3 of a normal box and half of it is filled with rice. –Siracha Chicken Special: Out of stock, please try again. –Mushroom Chicken Special: Out of stock, please try again. –Chicken with garlic sauce(extra spicy): They used sweet chili sauce to make it spicy, which I hate because I don’t like my hot foods to be sweet unless it’s dessert. –Beef with Broccoli: Not bad for Chinese take-out at 2AM, but definitely not worth eating sober. –Vegetable Chow Mein: I HATE baby corn and it was the main veggie in this dish… barely a few pieces of broccoli that I liked. I didn’t really care for the other veggies either(carrots, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots). Three dishes for ~$ 18.

Every once and a while something magical happens in my life that forever alters the well being of my tummy. This week was HAN’S Boardwok Asian Kitchen takes the cake! HEADSUP UnilocalERS 1. Han is the f**ing Man! Hes friendly, funny, attentive and an all around good guy. 2. The Food is really really good! Want something off the menu? He can probably whip it up and Hans special sauce is super saucy. 3. Generally Healthy. I was originally a bit upset cause he didn’t have brown rice but I asked to to get it and he said no problem! 4. Drive Thru is LEGIT. Support local small business’ EATATHANS

Han has redefined Chinese food for me! No ambience, cash-only and sometimes you may need to pull him out of Miller’s Field across the street… yet somehow Han has managed to put a drive-thru in the middle of this shack-like building. How creative! Every meal on the menu is cooked to order — but the secret here is ordering the specials. Spectacular! And here’s another secret — Han may be 100% Chinese, but he grew up in the deep South — yeah, Alabama type South. So his food has a little creole feel to it and THAT makes the meals oh so extra tasty. Finally, you simply must try Han’s Hot and Sour Soup… and I’ll leave the expectations on that dish to your own imagination!

I eat here a couple times a week. Definitely value Chinese so don’t come expecting gourmet food. But, the food here is defiantly decent, fresh, and cooked to order.(As good as Pei Wei and $ 4 cheaper) I’ve had probably had 2⁄3 of the menu. I usually steer towards chicken and usually Kung Pao. I’m also into his Hot and Sour soup. It’s pretty dam good for $ 2.00. The guy is super friendly and seems to like busting balls. I love the 2 – 3 star reviews. You are getting takeout from a Chinese Restaurant at 2am for $ 5.00…you wanted it to be gourmet? Really? The portion size is a portion. I understand most american’s want to eat at cheesecake factory every night but, we have an obesity problem in American. Hans is only doing his part to solve the problem. You don’t need 4lbs of food. It’s also Cash Only.

There’s a dearth of good chinese in the PB area, well actually of many good restaurants, regardless of ethnicity, in the PB– so I’m always on the lookout for a diamond in the rough. This search is what brought me to the little-reviewed Han’s boardwalk asian kitchen. A friend and I ordered Kung Pao and Orange Chicken dishes for pick up the other night, and it was ready shortly enough, We went through their very eclectic, but much in need of a face lift, drive through. Upon arriving home and opening up our styrofoam containers, we found servings for what might suffice(might) as two small appetizers. Food was tasty, so I am giving three stars for that and the cheery customer service, but it was tough to give them even that for the miniscule amount of food that we both got. Our two dishes combined may not have even been a full dish at most chinese places– and I’m not a huge binger in the least. So, give it a try, your taste buds won’t be disappointed, but your growling stomach may very well be. Oh, also, the lack of food may be because this is the cheapest chinese ever– 4.99 for each of our dishes, so the apparent value is there, but in ratio to portion it may even be overpriced.

I thought this place was going to be highly suspect. I thought wrong. this place is on point for some late night grubbery. Menu is short and sweet, all you need. a welcome change from the taco shop invasion everywhere else around town. check it out and thank me later.

Call me a communist but California burritos are yesterday’s news. Seriously, those traps of toilet travesty come dime a dozen in Diego. Why not change things up and hit up some Chinese fast-food cooked to order! I had the orange chicken myself tonight and was completely satisfied with every morsel of sweet, tangy, savory goodness. When in you’re out late in PB, skip Ramiro’s, Denny’s, and Fatburger. You won’t be disappointed here!!! BTW, you gotta love the play on «boardwalk: wok» play on words!

I’ve been twice. This place is probably a 3.5 stars but I’ll give them 4 for the cool painted benches and the guts to open a non-Mexican fast food restaurant in PB. I spent higher education in a town where cheap Chinese food is like cheap Mexican in San Diego: it’s everywhere and it’s damn good. This place has a pretty limited menu, but the food is tasty and it fills a much needed void in Pacific Beach: Chinese fast food. Try the hot and sour soup and the stir fried noodles. It’s not going to come close to House-of-Nanking-in-San-Francisco quality, but it’s a good start for PB — and it’s a relief from Panda Express.

My bf and I saw this place open a couple weeks ago and decided to give it a go. Drive thru Chinese, could it be? We drove through and ordered the sweet and sour pork, stir fry noodles with chicken, wonton soup and egg rolls. The man then told us to park in the lot for our order. I guess it was too good to be true. After waiting for 10 mins, we got our food and went out home to discover less than sub par food. The pork was dry and flavored with a generic sweet and sour sauce(the same sauce that came with egg rolls) and the rice that came with it was dry and cold. The stir fry noodles were tasty but way too oily. The egg rolls were typical and wonton soup was nothing special. We spent $ 16 which is reasonable but not worth it.

I have been to Han’s multiple nights and multiple days. The owner is awesome and his food is phenomenal. Everything is cooked fresh when you order. There’s so many mexican places open when the bars close but nothing else besides Dennys. A delicious chinese entrée after the bar hits the spot! The menu has some great choices but they are all reasonable. I will tell everyone about this place.
