I had the food truck come to the property where I work and they were pretty popular! Being a first timer there I did tell them to bring a lot of everything, but somehow they ran out of rice 30 minutes before. The owner Pat was very nice and offered other options outside of rice to the residents. I tried the drunken noodles which was delicious! I thought they carried fried rice, but because of preparation time it isn’t offered. I will definitely bring them back!

I have seen this food truck at two different beer festivals at Liberty Station. The first time I passed it up and got pizza but decided to give it a shot the second time. I am so happy I tried Haad. We ordered the panang curry and the drunken noodles. Both were the perfect level of spiciness. I almost didn’t want to share my noodles they were so tasty. The price is great for the portion size. The dishes range from $ 9-$ 11 I believe. We were both pretty full after sharing the two plates. There was a line but the food came out pretty quickly. Can’t wait until I see this food truck again!

Tried this place out at Curbside Bite Wednesdays. They were out of noodles, and it was only around 1PM. So I just ordered a thai tea and decided to pick another food truck instead. They barely put any tea, and filled most of it with half and half. I have tried this place before in the past though, and their drunken noodles were decent, but the portion was pretty small for the price.

So good! Tried them at Quartyard today and they were delicious! The drunken noodles are the BEST! Also tried the fried chicken potstickers which were great. We had to go back and order more cream cheese wontons after we were done because they were THAT good! Great service and great food. Will definitely be following their schedule to try them again!

3.5 stars seems about right. My drunken noodles were good and the presentation was nice, but for the price($ 10) I kind of wish the portion was bigger, or more chicken, or a couple dumplings or something. Probably would have given 4 stars if this dish was $ 2 cheaper.

Pat and his crew catered my wedding this past weekend, can’t say enough about how happy my wife and I were with their service. Pumpkin spice curry is amazing! If you get a chance to try this dish out while its in season due yourself a favor and give it a shot. Drunken noodles with chicken or tofu got rave reviews from our guests. Cream cheese won tons! Words can’t explain how good those are, you need to hurry up and get to where ever they have set up and order these, asap! Pat and his crew were extremely professional, if you are planning your wedding or party they could be the caterer for you. There is nothing negative that I can say about them, they were attentive to our needs and exceeded our expectations.

2.5 stars. Everything on the board sounded great. Ordered the panang curry. Was VERY surprised that it came just as chicken & rice. No veggies?!? Definitely disappointed by that. Flavor was good though. But I really missed some veggies. Came with 1 gyoza — very tasty! Over all, ok, just disappointed over the lack of veg. Would go back to try the veggie egrolls or Holy Basil.

My old man was craving burgers, I was craving Thai, as usual. Solution– South Park Food Truck Tuesday!!! I went with my old reliable and got the Drunken Noodles. Pretty tasty. I paid about $ 10 for one of those styrofoam containers of noodles– It’s pricey when you think about this being food truck food, but a good deal when you think about what you’d pay for this entrée at a restaurant. They whipped up the noodles pretty quick– I only waited about 5 min. Would definitely visit the real Haad Sai in Kearny Mesa when I get the chance.

Thai food connoisseur here, especially with drunken noodles. this place definitely serves the best. Noodles are nice and thick, meat is tender and sauce is ONPOINT! On top of that Valerie gives such awesome customer service, wish they had a free standing restaurant so I won’t have to chase after them all the time! Forsure coming many more times to try their other dishes!!! Once again, love their DRUNKENNOODLES, not just cause I’m drunk… you definitely gotta try it!

Haad Sai was in the neighborhood, so I trotted down to check it out. I ordered the Panang chicken curry, which set me back $ 9. The box included some rice, with the chicken curry on top, a single fried dumpling and a small container of soy sauce. This is better-than-decent truck food. Moreover, the price for the curry was lower than is typical for lunches served by the four-wheeled competition. I liked my lunch well enough, and I’d come back without hesitation. In my book, however, the food was merely OK and not super great. Despite assertions to the contrary by some of my colleagues, I think that the food from Haad Sai would not compare well with the offerings of your favorite brick and mortar Thai restaurant.

It does not get more«street side» or authentic than this. Very few food trucks manage to pull it off but when they do I fall in love. Haad Sai does it extremely well and i fell hard when i first had their drunken noodles and Thai Tea, no wok… no BS always great service not to mention the swagged out cook! If you are a complainer who has nothing good to say. Please do stick to the two pieces of bread with cheese in between… I would seriously choose eating from this truck over a Thai restaurant on any given day. As far as pricing… I would pay the cost of the plate for the experience and feel alone. That’s just me though…

This food truck frequents at my work as well as thorn street brewery. I love the vegetarian drunken noodles. They also have rice dishes, and curry which can be vegetarian or no vegetarian depending on your preference. I always enjoy when this truck is scheduled.

Not a fan on food trucks, but was attending a seminar at National University just across the street and the ‘nearby’ brought me there. I thought it was a restaurant, so I spend quite a bit of time trying to find the exact location. Then read the previous reviews better and noticed it was a truck! Service is very friendly and food is just ok, nothing wonderful but edible when you are in a hurry and want some Thai flavors. Drunken noodles with chicken was the safest bet for me.

Thought I should give Haad Sai a try since they seemed pretty popular amonst the other food trucks they were with. I ordered the basil fried rice with tofu and what I got was salty, soggy rice with no basil in it. The fried tofu was the only thing that was decent about it. Should’ve just gone with the grilled cheese truck lol

The food I get from this truck is as good if not better than thai restaurants. They have a few rice dishes, noddle dishes and curries. My favorite is the chicken pad see ew. I look forward to when this truck rolls by work and I have the days marked off in my calendar. The food is that good, or Im just just a loser… haha. I guess Im not the only one since the truck gets slammed when they roll by. Despite how busy they get, service is always outstanding and the guys that run it, Pat, Sai, Max, and Valerie are really friendly. Highly recommend!

I happen to run into this food truck at the La Mesa Food Fest Event and great run in it was. They offered a variety of items this particular evening, but this time I went for the Drunken Noodles with chicken.( ) The meal came with a petite salad with peanut dressing and either an egg roll or pot sticker. I went for the pot sticker.( ) The Drunken Noodles were great and arrived piping hot. The texture of the noodles were very pleasurable and had just the right amount of sauce on them.( ) The noodles came with a good amount of tender and tasty chicken, tender onions, some peppers and scallions.( ) I liked the garnish of peanuts. The side salad was great and the peanut dressing was even better, with its tasty refreshing quality.( ) The pot sticker was good and had a good pan crisp on it. I love it when they do that.( ) The ground pork inside had a great garlic and ginger flavor.( ) I liked all that came on my plate, but my favorite was the heaping pile of flat chewy noodles. I just could not get enough of them. They guys running this truck were great and had good senses of humors. I like a great flat drunken noodle.

One day I forgot to bring my lunch to work and had no ride. I searched for food trucks in San Diego and this one was conveniently a walks away from my workplace. Service is friendly and helpful. I ordered the drunken noodles(spice level 5) with chicken for $ 10. Each meal comes with a side of cucumber salad and your choice of either eggrolls or gyoza. I chose the gyoza. Their spice level is not Thai level so keep that in mind. I probably should have chosen level 10. I would say the meal was pretty solid. It’s not the best, but it’s pretty decent. $ 10 is a bit pricey, but it’s the price you pay for the convenience of a food truck. If I was in the same situation(no lunch and no ride) I would come here again.

Service was fine — friendly and prompt. The food was edible, but that was the only positive. I got the pad thai with chicken($ 9 — the usual food truck premium) and it was the worst pad thai I’ve ever had. It didn’t even taste like pad thai! It was more like rice noodles with some brown sauce and a few sad strips of chicken breast. I can’t imagine anything else out of the truck could taste any better, if that’s their interpretation of pad thai… Won’t be donating my dollars there ever again.
