As a former NFL player… it has been a long time since I have enjoyed work outs… plenty of body aches along the way. I loved the training I have received at Gracie’s San Diego… my body feels great and learning about self defense and all things martial arts has been a great experience… my metabolism is flying during and after the workouts. The place is clean and all the teachers have been amazing… very patient and great teaching skills. I highly recommend training here if you are looking for something unique and if you want to learn a discipline that can make a difference on several levels. Thanks Gracie San Diego. Rod Smith

Me and my 4 ½ years old son love this place.
I extremely recommend this program to everyone who wants to learn the real Brazilian jiu-​jitsu.
Self Defense, GI and No GI classes are just the best.

I wish I could give this school a thousand stars. I moved to California from New York. I tried school after school. It was always the same thing. Teachers didn’t show up and some blue belt taught class, classes started late etc… Then one day I found Gracie San Diego. This school is top notch. They care, more than anything they care. I came in as a new blue belt and after three years I was honored to receive my purple belt from Regis Lebre (legend in Jiu Jitsu). He was not only my instructor, he became my friend. I highly recommend this school to anyone interested in Jiu Jitsu from white belt to black belt. They teach solid fundamentals and train champions. You will not find a better school in San Diego. Their kids programs are amazing as well as self defense which is something Regis and I worked on a lot in private classes. Private classes really will step up your game. Try the school out, you’ll see exactly what I mean.

It is a Gracie academy affiliated with Royler Gracie. If you want the fruit directly from the tree, then this is the place to go. You will learn BJJ in it’s purest form.
Professor Regis speaks about learning the «Game». The deeper meaning of the sport. It is not just about learning a few submissions from the guard or attacking your opponent. It is about the flow, the energy and being able to transition all of your movements. That philosophy really connected with me.
I am in my 50’s and have wear and tear on my joints, especially having wrestled in college. Since I have joined the Gracie Academy I have lost weight, built muscle and more importantly regained the flexibility that I had lost. It has improved my «Game».
My son joined before I did and he loves it. I wanted to join but was worried about my age. Regis informed me that people train well into their 70’s. I took the free introductory class and joined.
I have made some really good friends. It is a fun place to workout. The whole staff is friendly and helpful. It keeps me coming back for more.

San Diego is arguably the best place to train BJJ on the planet and this is arguably the best school in San Diego. Spacious and clean mats. Wonderful instruction. Competitive and non-​competitive students of all levels and ages. A ton of different classes for different schedules. I have been here over two years and plan, God willing, to be here for the long haul. See you in the mats.

Great facility, great instruction. I’d highly recommend Gracie San Diego to anyone interested in a great way to get in shape, have some fun, and learn an amazing martial art. Clean mats and changing rooms, showers, a well-​stocked weight room, and loaner gi’s are available.

The best BJJ club in San Diego. Awesome friendly environment and quality instructors. My 6 year old son loves the kids program and I attend the competition program daily. Professors Regis Lebre and Rodrigo Munduruca are always available to answer any question and provide guidance at any time. I love this place.
