Golden Hill Smog

I came here for a smog test and was truly impressed by the friendliness of the employees and fast, reliable service I received. The owner went out of his way to help me navigate the California DMV requirements. I highly recommend going here!

Being a woman I am always hesitant to take my car to people I don’t personally know. The price I was quoted was the price I paid and was never up-​sold. I went in for smog check and was out within 15 minutes. It was quick and easy. Would definitely return!

I was working in the area and needed a smog check, so I Called Golden Hill Smog yesterday around 8:30am. I told them I needed to do a smog on a ’08 BMW. Fernando said sure bring it in around 10am, $ 50 and it will take around 20 minutes. I showed up at 10, and I was done at 10:15. These guys are good, fast and they even let me use a $ 5 off coupon from their website. Total $ 45 and 15 minutes has me good for another 2 years. I will definitely use them on my other cars. 40 Yrs ago I lived in the Midwest. I can still tell you the name of my mechanic there., although I haven’t seen him in as many years. Finding a mechanic you can trust as knowledgeable and honest; who does great work, is consistent, ethical and always courteous: almost impossible to find!
Fernando…absolutely the best! Javier… courteous, competent. You can’t beat these guys! It’s been about 12 years since I first walked into the business. Never a bad experience. Never, even, doubts about any work performed by them! Recently, I was in a hurry for a smog check and stopped at a place close by. My bad! Never again!
Makes me appreciate Golden Hill Smog even more! It’s easy to get comfortable doing business with those you trust. Nothing like a negative experience to remind you how important those people are. If I lived in North County, East County, or South Bay, I would still make the trip to these guys for service.
Over and over again Fernando has done work for me and I’ve left, each and every time, with profound gratitude to him; always confident in the work done and for a fair price. Really doesn’t get any better; when you trust people so that you’re happy to give them the business.
I am retired. Old enough to be a Grandmother. If I can trust these guys??? Gives my son peace of mind, knowing I depend on Fernando & Golden Hill Smog.
