Nice people and fast service. However they really need to update the lounge area to be on par with other FBOs. I wanted to use their nice lounge and was refused today after they let me use it the day before. Gave me lame excuse that it’s reserved for corporate pilots. WTF?
Obviously they don’t want high end clients. They also need a snack and drink machine.

The Gibbs linemen were ready for us and had our rental car brought planeside promptly. Our plane was fueled up and ready to go on the day of our departure, and all staff members we dealt with were very helpful. Fuel prices were a tad higher than what I’ve been used to, but we will definitely use this FBO again next time we are in San Diego.

Have been using this FBO for over 10 years and have always been impressed with the high level of service, including prompt delivery of rental cars. The building is dated, but the staff is always 100% top notch. That being said, the last three times here I have felt I was overcharged for fuel. I keep meticulous records on fuel burn and am always, always, right around 13 gallons per hour. The last three times Gibbs topped me off my fuel burn calculated at 14.5 gph. I’m starting to wonder…

Honestly, I came here just because I needed a quick fill up on tire pressure and the service was just fantastic! Friendly, courteous, prompt and I wasn’t even one of their customers! I will have to look into flying with them in the future!

I am a member of a local flying club and use Gibbs. Never had any issues and even when they are packing up I have gotten a jump or fill. Always have a smile and deliver. If like to see them do some updates of the building but some of the clubs housed there recently have merged/​moved.

We were quoted $ 165 to change a tire tube. After having lunch at the terminal and returning to get the aircraft we were charged an extra hour of labor. When you quote a price, it should be honored. The total job was done for much less than one hour and we paid for two hours of labor plus parts (tube Price was OK). Since I had left my credit card, they automatically charged me the total amount, $ 80 more than what I was quoted. Not good business practice. The staff was friendly but no one likes surprises and being quoted a Firm price and getting charged double on the labor is egregious.

C’mon guys… I have been here utilizing your services for nearly 15 years and you have not updated any aspect of your building other than fixing your leaking roof. Lets try to come up todate with the 21st century here.
The prices are good and the service is good and the Staff is friendly. There is just a lot of traffic through Gibbs and ya’ll need to pour some money into your S-​hole of a building and update your Information Technology (IT) sector of your business. A step in the Million Air/​Signature FBO would be the right direction.

Friendly service, no ramp fees, computer access in the lobby, and several restaurants in walking distance. Another plus, Marv Golden’s pilot supply shop is right across the street.

I stopped in for a quick lunch at the café across the street, with friends. Off the main taxiway, just follow the blue line to their parking spots. Upon shutdown Lineservice was quick to assist us. Unfortunately we didn’t need fuel, but were asked to leave the parking brake off. A film crew was shooting some film in an extra that landed after us and we were in their parking spot. We were moved to the next row over (not a big deal), and no ramp fees! There are some great eats across the street, great find!

I’m part of a local flying club, this FBO is always nice to me and I can hear transactions read body language etc from out of towners and they seem pleased as well. They have opened the door for me after hours for a PAX to use the restroom (they were still there and just offered) always going out of their way to help not just me out but everyone there it seems like… I doubt they like their jobs (who does) but they sure seem to pretend well. The female workers there are easy on the eyes as well.
